The room was very clean and well maintained. It had a great shower! The staff were friendly. The location is charming with plenty of places to eat that are within easy walking distance. The beer garden next door with a nice big firepit is a delight, and the meals we had there were very tasty. The place has a historic charm that we enjoyed very much. Walking down the nearby street and meandering through the secondhand stores was a lovely way to while away a morning, as was the nearby historic buildings.
The only fault we found with the room was seating. It would have been nice to have 2 chairs and a small round table in the corner, as well as or instead of the desk and single chair. But it is a small thing of not great importance. The other thing is their claim to being the oldest pub in WA. I believe it should be revised to second oldest. Unless there is some play on words I'm unaware of. In Albany there is a pub on the mainstreet which according to the Albany Historical Society was built in 1835 called the Albany Hotel, that is 6 years before the Rose and Crown.

Proximity to the airport was great. Ability to eat within the property was terrific & there was a bottle shop 100m down the road to buy a room nightcap. The staff at the bar & restaurant (especially the Restaurant Manager) were exceptional & the food delicious. The historic property had great appeal & was maintained/rennovated beautifally.
We expected some aircraft noise, but felt like we were directly under the flight path & unfortunately the rooms were not soundproof at all - very noisy - rumbling trains during the night (track close), Aircraft taking off/landing woke us very early, loudly idling truck parked near room in the morning for a reasonable period, whipper snipper/blower? humming away for a long time.

The property was absolutely gorgeous , from the moment we arrived the staff were wonderful. The room was excellent as well. Everywhere I went on the property either in the room or restaurant it was exceptional in presentation and cleanliness. To the kitchen staff the food was 5 stars all the way through to the table service as well. Thanks again for a wonderful dinner and stay and we will be back again…
Nothing bad about to report but maybe a little bit more steak/ meat dishes on the dinner menu but it’s a minor issue. Just keep doing what you guys are doing it’s a wonderful venue..

Hotel is in a lovely location, lots of cafes and restaurants are within walking distance. The rooms are spacious, very clean, with coffee etc provided. Check in staff were extremely friendly and welcoming and were more than helpful when we requested to change rooms due to a faulty air conditioning unit. There is a bar and restaurant on site which was very popular and the bar meals we had were delicious and all staff were friendly. Great area to relax and enjoy a drink/meal, restaurant dining is also available.
Minor issue of faulty air con was swiftly dealt with.

Receptionist was absolutely amazing very friendly and even gave us some directions and advice to get where we needed to go and get back safely on foot, shower was big and spacious with amazing hot water and adjustable stream, little bar fridge and kitchenette thing with some coffee cups and things (I brought my favourite coffee and my lactose free milk)
The only thing I can think of was that I woke up with stiff sore back, that being said the bed was super duper soft and comfy and I'm not even entirely sure If maybe that pillow was just not a good suit for me ( everybody has different preferences) but it also could just be I hadn't iced my back as directed by my chiropractor that night (wasn't able to due to not having icepack) so either maybe the pillows need more range of soft medium, hard or maybe there could be ice packs ahahaha 😅

Very central, all staff friendly and professional Food was excellent and huge portions. Surrounding cafes were also very nice , with very professional staff and large portions, some really interesting tourists things to do and see.
Toilet sit didn’t stay up making it difficult for my partner, ceiling fan was very loud and even when turned down low was still so loud it kept us awake. They only do Sunday breakfast so a toaster in the room would be an advantage.

The beautiful historic town of Guildford and specifically The Rose and Crown are destinations in their own right. We were searching for accommodation near to the airport and were delighted to have found The Rose and Crown. Great location. Delicious food at the pub. Clean and comfortable rooms. Highly recommend!
Not the fault of The Rose and Crown but I’m an extremely light sleeper and got woken up early with the planes coming in. My husband and children slept through it. :)

Easy access and lovely staff. It is in a lovely area for early morning and evening walks. Meals at the restaurant were very good and included a discount as a hotel guest. Close to cafes for breakfast & coffee.
Room numbers need to be added to the parking bays. Someone parked in the car park in front of my room (right over the footpath) inhibiting access.

Room was clean and modern, bed was massive and comfortable. Shower had fantastic water preasure. Room was also big with everything I needed. Room service was amazing and food was 5 star! Very quiet except for the planes which can't be helped. Beautiful area. Staff were lovely!!! The patio and courtyard was easy to access from the back door in the room. Shame it was cold because the pool looked very inviting. Great stay.
The cost of the food was very expensive and there was surcharges plus a room service fee. I feel that should be included in the price of staying at the hotel. High ceilings meant it took ages for the room to get warm. I wish there was a dressing gown 😊 I also stated I would like a late check out but that didn't happen.

nice location, good food options at the hotel at night and a couple of very good coffee/cafes for breakfast across the road
The very heavy door closer on the bathroom door, which meant using the bathroom anytime, mainly at night might potentially waking one’s partner with a noisy door close. Must be a reason for a door closer but not sure what!?
