Swan River Hotel

Secluded location. Large, Beautiful and contemporary rooms. Bathroom was a blast. Restaurant is huge and has a large outdoor option. Property was been very well maintained despite its age.

Public toilets were WAY too far to walk when we were in the dining area, and most particularly, the male toilet could only be accessed by gate crashing a private 21st birthday party. Property owner needs to seriously consider an alternative toilet solution for restaurant guests. Also, one of our party fell down a single concealed step right in the middle of the breakfast dining area. However, said step was clearly marked with black and yellow edge strip. And lastly, breakfast was cold! The single staff member was flat out attending to everything on his own so we just left.

The deluxe king rooms were huge. The beds were very very comfortable and the cleanliness of the rooms was impeccable. The staff we encountered were fantastic, from reception to cleaning and wait staff in the restaurant.

Unfortunately there were a few things that didn't work in the room. The bedside lights didn't work; one light didn't even have a bulb. The wine fridge didn't work and was reported to reception. There was also an electronic system for letting housekeeping know whether the room was to be made up or to display "do not disturb", it didn't work either. As we booked 2 x rooms, it was interesting to note that all of these things worked in the other room.

Bed great and comfy. Food was great. View of the Swan River was lovely and relaxing.

The QR scanner for room service menu didn't work, it kept saying that the hotel was not accepting orders at that time even though the restaurant was open, so we had to ring the restaurant to bring menus and to place orders each time. View of the Swan River was mostly of the back carpark. The balcony is a shared balcony across all rooms.

The room was spacious and well-appointed. Very clean and in good repair. Given that it was a "pub" open to the public,, it was very quiet, especially given its proximity to the airport, so you could get a good night's sleep.

The hotel was shy of customers........and don't know why really. It felt a little like a ghost town. The restaurant area was huge, but almost empty. The restaurant food could have been better and the wine list was lacking.

Location was great, in a nice quiet area - close to the airport, city and Crown Room was clean and comfortable

Only minor issue was the bathroom - lighting in shower could be better and the door only opened outward, which made it difficult to place a bath mat in front of the door. Also due to the size of the mirror in bathroom, the toilet roll holder was in an awkward spot at the back rather than the side of the toilet - had to turn awkwardly to reach. Would be great if there were 2 bins - one in the room and one in bathroom 😊

The hotel is close to public transport and the airport. I needed to catch an early flight the following morning. Our meals that evening were a little pricey but we were not disappointed they were delicious. We also had breakfast the next morning that were lovely too.

The first room we were given had a musty wet smell when we entered the room. We found wet carpet near one of the beds. We spoke to reception…..nothing happened? After our evening meal we approached reception again and were immediately given a key to the room next door which was absolutely fine.

Great surprise, the rooms are very well appointed and are so comfortable and clean. The bathrooms are of very high quality and awesome shower. The rooms are large and super comfortable, huge bed. All in all a great stay and will certainly be coming back.

Restaurant although niocely appointed and huge and the food was nice, although cold, sent back food as it was very cold three times. Even got restaurant staff to feel how cold it was all times. Eventually heated and was actually very nice but disappointed. Cost of drinks in restaurant were also very expensive.

Cheap accommodation

Restaurant not open for breakfast as it was Anzac Day, this should be pointed out at the booking stage when looking at menu for drinks, it was $3 cheaper to order from table than to buy at the bar, we had a pink gin and tonic and a beer which should have been $24 but when my husband went to the bar he was charged $27 no hand towels provided, on bath and floor towels wine fridge was useless didn’t keep wine cold top of unit in hallway, first floor, covered in dust and dirt and dead flies bed side light switches too far from bed and had to get out of bed to switch on and off We brought our own hangers for our clothes but no where to hang them, ax the wardrobe had fixed hangers no umbrellas outside over tables to enjoy and have a drink as it was very sunny

Lovely Hotel. Comfortable bed and good size room. Public transport easily accessible. Great deck area overlooking the river for food, drink and a relax.

Air conditioner units outside window were noisy with dripping water which you could hear from inside, so a bit noisy at night. No shower caps or body lotion supplied with the toiletries.

Location to airport. Quick check i n afrer long flight. Bathroom spacious with large seperate bath. As it was an overnight stay due to flight changes didnt get to see or use any faciliti3

No milk in toom. Had to collect sachets from reception..room had no view but not importanr for our stay. Cant add anything more given late arrival and early departure
