Excellent location and a cosy room with a stunning view of the mountains. The room was rather spacious, furnished with many shelves, table, chairs and TV in addition to a squeaky clean shower room with amenities - all means necessary to feel comfortable after a long day. We loved a set of tea and cappuccino jar) Stuff was also friendly and supportive, providing an excellent introduction to the tourist areas in Innsbruck. The price is acceptable, considering that Innsbruck itself is quite an expensive resort.
There are only a few very minor disadvantages. The first includes a lack of a crosswalk through the adjacent road. The hotel is situated right near the narrow road, which can get very busy in the morning or around 5-6 pm. To get to the town one may need either to run across the road or use a detour path of a nearby house, which might not be obvious at first sight. Secondly, sound insulation between the hotel and the road is absolutely amazing, but the inner walls are thinner, so sometimes we could hear our neighbours (but that was a family with a small kid, hence the noise level was way above average to begin with). Lastly, an area near the side entrance could use some scented air freshener)

Location was awesome, just few minutes walk to the local bus station- Hoher Weg, tram station, funicular train station, grocery and the Old Town. Our room has an awesome view of the mountains and the River Inn. Staff were friendly and can speak English. We had free 3 days unlimited access to the bus and tram as complementary for visiting Innsbruck and staying at the hotel.
They don't have a lift for the heavy luggages and no fridge in the room. We only learnt on our 2nd day that bus number 501 can be accessed from Innsbruck Haupbanoff bus station platform A to Hoher Weg station which is very convenient to the traveller using the train and then bus.

Everything was excellent, from the location which although away from the main tourist area was on beach front and small harbour. There was a walkway for many km along the sea line leading to swimming areas, shops and restaurants. The bedroom was large and over looked the sea with a large patio area. The bathroom was spacious and very clean. Breakfast was substantial and the staff was fantastic, speaking good english which helped. Parking out of season was free (300m from hotel). If you dont mind being a few km from the main tourist area, I recommend this hotel.
Its just me, I dont like pop music at breakfast time, I would prefer quiet music to ease in the day.

The hotel is located adjacent to the river and within walking distance of the funicular, parks, shops and the old town. Our room was large, the beds were comfy and the shower had good water pressure. Reception staff were very helpful in giving us good information about what to do in Innsbruck, use of public transport etc. We were able to park our car in the hotel carpark.
I think the addition of a kettle and a mini fridge in the room would enhance the experience of staying at this hotel. We would gladly stay at this hotel again, if ever in Innsbruck.

The hotel has so much character, its not super posh or fancy and rooms are quite basic but its such a lovely friendly place!! If you are gluten free - that was best breakfast I had since I had to go GF, wish I gad such a nice baked goodies and home-made jams in the UK The owner is such a friendly person and all staff we met was really lovely and kind. The dining area was really pretty. Rooms were quite basic but clean and bed was big and comfy. Kettle in the room was super handy. Location was about 25 min walk from the train station. On return we took a Taxi which was 10 euro so perfectly ok. We loved our daily walks to town along the river. About 15 mins. Overall we really enjoyed it and if I ever was in Innsbruck again I would def book it again.
Rooms were bit small maybe but really for what we needed was perfectly fine.

This was a great hotel with great views of the mountains whist eating your breakfast in the wooden clad dining area The owner was proud to highlight the heritage of this and a wooden underworld guardian hanging from the ceiling.. The hotel is easy to get to, I recommend the tram to the old disused funicular and walk the short distance. This avoids the steps at the end of the wooden bridge. The owners daughter was great in orientating us to the Christmas markets. Innsbruck is great place and we'll be back and this hotel, if available will be our base of choice. Be mindful this is a skier orientated city, so the hotel although not grand it is certainly lovely and practical. Also be aware the back rooms have no view but there is a peaceful waterfall to serenade you through the night.
Be aware there are stairs up into the hotel. This is a advisory rather than a dislike.

Close to the city center. Clean and comfort rooms. Absolutely nice staff, clear and helpful answers before arrive, communicative contact for giving possibilities to open doors after normal recepcion work hours.
Because of build this house on the rock one side of windows is looking on the waterfall. It is nice to see, but when you need to open window for fresh air the sound is irritating for long time. But it is good that closed windows are hermetic and the waterfall sound doesn't come inside.

My husband and I found the B&B Hotel Heimgartl exceptional as with the staff. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The father and two daughters running the hotel were fantastic. Always very helpful and friendly. We had a beautiful room overlooking the river.
My only small advice is to be careful with the parking facilities. There isn't much room and in the slow zone, the drivers do not drive slowly.

location and comfort
breakfast was poor value for 14 euros per person. Limited choice and limited amounts. What there was was very nice but on our travels this holiday through Austria and Germany we have found all other accommodation has provided more choice and quantity at prices ranging from 6-10 euros per person. I would stop at the accommodation again as it is clean, comfortable and well located with pleasant staff but would buy breakfast elsewhere.

The building is adorable, the waterfall right next to it was a calming presence, the waterfront views of the river were nice, and the interior of the breakfast space was super cute. If you're a person exploring the city on foot, everything is in pretty close proximity after you cross the bridge. The breakfast was very nice - a big assortment of breads, some pastries, cereals, yogurts, meats, cheeses, and each morning I was there, a staff member made me a soft egg which was much appreciated.
Our room was a bit small - with two people and two large suitcases, it was a bit of a tight squeeze. If you are a person who prefers to travel by car or bus, the hotel's parking and closest bus stops are a bit hard to access.
