Altstadthotel Wolf-Dietrich

Andreas made some pre-arrangements for us which helped us settle in with ease after a delayed flight. Lovely gentleman (I think his name was Herbert?) at front desk who greeted and checked us in and out, additional credit to night staff Alex who was friendly and dealt with our requests (and serving drinks at bar). Location is fantastic to get around Salzburg and away from the main crowded areas south of the river. Bed is supremely comfortable, the suite as a whole was very pleasant. Lovely spa facility for guests, great for unwinding after a day out. Massage therapist was fantastic (I opted for a deep tissue massage).

Cleaning has been a bit of a miss throughout our stay, we had to request for supplies that was not refilled throughout our stay and the overall cleaning of the room is certainly well below par for a 4-star hotel. Parts of the suite feels a bit dated and could do with a refresh. The spa only provides a male massage therapist, which we found out a little too late during our stay (we had pre-booked the massage service in advance).

This hotel was amazing. Right in the centre of things but in a very quiet street. The daily breakfast was exceptional with a large variety. The staff were very helpful with ideas of things to do.

Location is next to Linzer Gasse with plenty of eateries and good shopping. Under 15 minutes walk to the main Christmas market at the Dom. Yet this place is quiet. Lovely to wake up and come back to the restful spa facilities at the hotel too - pool, sauna, steam room, rest areas fhat open till 10pm (no rush after dinner). The staff are truly the stars, they looked after us very warmly, contacted us earlier to assist with Christmas dinner reservations. And always with a bounce in their steps, their energy is infectious. Thanks for a great stay! We will stay here again when we return to Salzburg.

The staff were super helpful and nice. Took the time to explain everything and give advice. The room was perfect for our one night stay. Had all the amenities we needed.

This was a great hotel! There was nothing we did not like.

The location is excellent. We stayed in an apartment/suite type room that was located right across the street from the main hotel. The room was large, and we had an extra sleeping area in the loft with an attached bathroom, so it was comfortable for 2 couples easily. Easy cab ride from the train station if needed.

We were on the 4th floor, but the elevator only went up to the floor below us, so we walked the last flight of stairs. Not a problem for my husband and me, but my dad had a little trouble due to knee pain. I'm sure the hotel is able to work with guests, but we didn't realize it was something to look in to until we arrived.

The hotel is situated right next to a pedestrian street which has whatever you need : restaurants/coffee shops/supermarket/ bars/ bakery etc. You are also ~7 minutes away (walking) from the center so the location is exceptional. There are light hiking trails available ~7 minutes away. The bed was comfortable, room and neighbourhood was quiet. I loved that i could sleep peacefully. Room got cleaned every day. One other thing: the room had an electric kettle. This was very usefull as our stay was in autumn and a hot tea was very welcome after a long day of walking/trekking. Front desk was helpfull and delightfully cheerful. Always waited for us with a smile. I apreaciated this. Made us feel welcome.

Every single member of the hotel staff was accomodating, friendly, and helpful in every way. Perfect from check in to check out and everything in between. The location was perfect for exploring the old town. A big difference is the way the property responded immediately and positively to concerns messaged to them upon booking and prior to arrival. This was the best hotel we stayed in during out trip around Germany and Austria.

The staff was really friendly, I was sick the whole trip and they did take good care of me. The rooms were spacious and clean. The location is great , all the attractions are within a walking distance. Although, they dont offer dinner, they helped me with ordering food since i could not go out. Everything was great, if i go back again i would definitely stay there. Highly recommended.

I did not like the fact that there is no dinner available at the hotel, if there was it would be perfect. Also maybe it could have been a vending machine for some beverages and snacks for late night.
