Great hotel on the mountain with very easy bus access to centre that runs regularly. The hotel was spotless and the food was excellent! Parking right outside the hotel. The room was clean and comfortable with a powerful shower. The staff were so helpful and friendly especially Mario in the bar and Ariana at dinner they both went out of their way to make us feel special and were always smiling and happy. Nice little pool area that had access to sun loungers outside with a great view. Summer card included in the price with free or discounted access to lots of activities.

The room was a little dated compared to the rest of the hotel but it didn't affect our stay.

We loved everything about this hotel! It is modern, but with a nice touch of rustic details typical of the area. Both the room and the bathroom were very spacious, functional and comfortable (bed was really comfortable). Our room was overlooking the ski slopes, which was a nice bonus. The hotel has a spa area (a small pool with two types of saunas and a jacuzzi) which is not very big, but totally enough. We loved the food which was of great variety (both breakfast and dinner), and really beautifully prepared. The entire staff was great - at the restaurant, the cleaning ladies, people at the reception - everyone was so friendly and nice, the atmosphere at the restaurant is truly perfect:. Probably the most important thing about this hotel is it's location at the very start of 3 major ski lifts - you practically exit the hotel and hop on the ski lift. At the same time, you can ski down the 2 slopes directly to the hotel. If you are coming to Zell am See to ski or hike, this is the best hotel option by far.

The very best of the hotel is the location in the valley of the ski slopes and direct vicinity of three major ski lifts. The hotel is modern and stylish and has a nice bar and snack bar. The rooms are exceptionally quiet: No fan, no air condition can be heard. We slept very well.

The sauna has only one shower and there is no relaxing area in the SPA. Our breakfast and dinner table was in a very nice and private place right above the main entrance. However, there was smell of cold cigarette smoke. The waiter offered another table in a different area but we chose to stick to the table because the place was so nice.

This Vaya Hotel is very good. We will go again. It delivers a super all round package offering in a ski hotel. Staff, friendly and almost all have good English. The spa pool, sauna, steam room are great after a day skiing. The lounge bar and staff are excellent. The wheat beer is super and they offer masses of cocktails. Ski hire and ski school on the ground floor. Location - excellent. You just can not get a better location for the 3 main lifts. 20 metres away. The food and the restaurant and the staff at the Vaya is generally very good. Super breakfast offering. The Wednesday buffet was excellent. The standard offering for dinner on other nights is reasonable to good but in truth a bit limited (3 options for the main course) and fiddly ordering. If you are dairy intolerant or have other requirements - I suggest you pre book this with the hotel, as every dish is marked as having Lactose and they are NOT very flexible if you just arrive and start asking for dairy free. A little surprising in these times that a chef team are not able to just respond flexibly to a dairy free request. Pre book it and no problem. If you drive or hire a car, remember to book parking with the hotel.

The location from this hotel is more then perfect. We came with public transport so no car, but there is a cabelcart going from directly next to the hotel. Stepping out of the front door you can start multiple hikes as well which was a great plus for us. The dinners were really nice, always a choise for meat/fish or veggy, however rather small in portion some time, and rather simple, but still really tasteful! There was however a salad bar and dessert buffet so all in all we never left hungry. Both the salad and dessert could have used a bit more variation, dessert were mostly premade pastry from the freezer, good, but not much special. Breakfast was a buffet as well and was perfect for us, definitely no complaints there, more then enough to get us trough a full day of hiking! Would definitely recommend staying there!

The wellness area is rather small with only 3 laying chairs inside. The pool was cold and not the cleanest (hairs floating and sand gathered on the bottom). Did not seem like it was cleaned every day. It could be a nice wellness but when there's kids there's no peace and quiet to be had. Either they should rebrand the wellness area as just a pool area or make it adults only. For us this was rather disappointing as there was no place to fully relax and recover after a full day of hiking. Staff were friendly but seemed a bit forced, not really caring what guests had to say, but more just being friendly cause they had too. I would have preferred them not making small talk then as they were clearly not interested in what you had to answer.

Hotel is located 960 m above the sea, nearly at the end of the road, next to the cable lifts. Hotel is not new, but very well maintenanced and clean. Receptionists and waiters are very friendly and ready to chat, advice and help. The cuisene is very tasty, a lot of vegetable salads, the soups are excellent. For the breakfast is everything what you can wish. Scrambled eggs, backed bacon, sousages, boiled eggs, joghurts, cerealias, salami, cheeses, many kinds of bread. Quite good coffee. Swimming pool is small, but sufficient for rest. Deckchairs are outside on the lawn, very enjoyable. You can walk downt to the center, but it is more then 2 km far away steep down hill. It is better to go by car, there are many parking places near center (paid).

I had booked family apartment, with two bedrooms and living room. I got the apartment, which was a big living room with one king size bed, and small bedroom without window. Large window in the living room corner with very small balcony was situated to the hill and towards another house. The apartment was directly above the kitchen, so from the early mornynig there was a noice and smell.

The room was nice, with view of the cable car. The cable car was very close, and also included in the price! Another good thing was the swimming pool and relax area. Liked the place, could have stayed longer.

The breakfast was seated at specific tables, which no-one told us. So we walked around in the breakfast room with our plates trying to find a table that was not reserved! :-) Until a server asked us what room number we had and if we had reserved breakfast.

such a perfect location. So much to, just using the free summer card - cable cars right behind the hotel. absolutely amazing food - breakfast and dinner were soooo good! lots of choice, really lovely staff (all so eager to please, happy and just a total credit to Vaya). Communal areas were really beautifully and stylishly designed.

I wouldn’t change anything. just perfect.

The location is excellent and super-convenient for ski-on, ski-off, with the rental shop on-site! Great wellness facilities with well-operated pool and sauna. Easy parking on site. Full bar that runs to midnight was a nice surprise too!

Breakfast is fine. The chef makes eggs live which is the best part. The Chef is super friendly and funny. All stuffs are friendly and good. In the Lounge Mario is a super friendly bar tender.

As a 4-star hotel, it is great but the food is not up to the 4-star mark. During my 5-day stay 2 days, I was dissatisfied with the food. They need to work on it.
