Kasteehoff van Loppem is easily reached from the motorway which goes past Brugge It is set on a smallholding with a few sheep, lambs and chickens. Our room was very comfortable and the bathroom was roomy and well-appointed with a separate toilet. Our hosts were lovely, very solicitous, offering drinks on our arrival and making sure we had everything we needed. As well as tea and coffee-making facilities in our room there were extra supplies in the breakfast room downstairs available all day. The continental breakfast was great with fresh eggs from the chickens and huge pastries as well as a specially prepared fruit salad. Nothing was too much trouble.

Frank and his wife were very nice and welcomed us to their beautiful house/hotel. We were very grateful for all the assistance and information they gave us. I’m they even helped me with my toothache and what to do 🙂. We have two little girls and they absolutely loved playing around the garden and playing with the animals, especially the chicken. The breakfast was also great with a personal touch from the hosts and excellent quality ingredients. Frank was super nice also when we left and gave my two girls small gifts. Thank you for the nice memories and we hope we can come back again.

My wife, son and I stayed for one night on our way across to Susteren in The Netherlands. The location was extremely convenient to the E40 and about an hours drive from the Dunkirk Ferry Terminal. The property was delightful and our room, very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. The hosts, Marleen & Francoise were so lovely. We were offered a drink when we arrived and given some great advice on where to walk and where to eat in the village. Altogether, it was a lovely experience and we would thoroughly recommend Kasteelhof van Loppem to anyone wanting to stay in this area.

Kasteelhof van Loppem offers excellent, first class accommodation in beautiful relaxing grounds. The hosts are wonderful and everything about our stay was perfect. Our room was spacious and comfortable and designed to the highest standards and it was nice to enjoying the outdoor areas. Cafes and restaurants are 5 mins walk and Loppem is a stones throw away from Brugge. Far better to stay here than in Brugge itself.

Kasteelhof van Loppem is perfect in every way.

Beautifully set within a quality residential area, and quiet neighbourhood. Overall has the feel of a boutique hotel. The building itself is an old building, sympathetically renovated to modern standards, yet retaining it's original charm. Decorated beautifully - classy yet not in any way ostentatious - it made complete sense when we found out one of the owners, Marie, is an architect. Grounds extend to include an orchard, and lovely 'summer bar', which serves quality food to guests and locals. Hosts Marie and Francois are very natural, kind and thoughtful people. Accommodation itself was first class, and breakfast was one of the best we've had - great selection of quality food, well presented and a fresh delivery from the bakery. We have stayed here twice now, and the 9.7 rating at the time of writing does not do it justice.... in our book, it should be a 10. Nothing to improve on, just keep it up!

Everything. The hosts Marleen and Frank were so hospitable, friendly and helpful. The rooms were very nice, comfortable and clean. Their daily breakfast were awesome too. The place was very peaceful and relaxing. Transportation wise, there is a bus stop right at the end of the street which makes it quite convenient to get around. Highly recommended.

Lovely place and lovely host, parking is easy and convenient to visit Bruges. The host gave us some recommendations too. The outdoor space and garden were really nice.

It was cold in the room and the in the bathroom which meant we couldn’t really take a shower.

The room was very spacious. The breakfast was simply excellent with a variety of options. It felt like visiting a friend instead of staying in a B&B. There were plenty of animals outside which makes it very interesting for the children (WATCH OUT: The owner told us that the fences had electricity. Better to have some warning signs there. Luckily our son did not touch them before we made aware)

Our son who is 2.5 was sitting on the sofa as we had breakfast. We were told that we need to be careful not to stain it as it was very expensive. We could not enjoy the breakfast as we had to monitor the little one (on top of covering the sofa with a towel). I recommend the owner to cover the sofa with a sheet or place a cheaper one instead because an adult can also stain the sofa as well.

Carefully preserved heritage property with charming features and friendly, helpful hosts. Huge comfortable bed in our room. Spacious grounds with sheep, chickens, a cottage garden and orchard, giving the feel of a rural stay within easy reach of Bruges. Good breakfast. Safe parking.

Amazing! The room and the bathrom are very good. The bed is very comfy. There is a coffe and tee. The hosts (Marleen and Francois) are very nice and communicative. There is a lot of parking space if you come by car. Breakfast is freshly prepared and very tasty, partially from the self made products. Definitely I would stay once again and I can recommend that for you as well!
