The Hidden Ridge Resort

We liked the beds, the room itself was clean and big

This is not up to the hotel but our neighbors woke us up a couple times because they were coming down and up the stairs very often. Also someone rang our room phone around 12 am and that was creepy since nobody replied when we picked it up.

The whole setting and room layout was great. Plenty of space for a family of 4 adults. Unfortunately we never got a chance to use the hot tub, we were always out and about but I wish we could have as it looked lovely. We loved the view we had from the balcony and enjoyed sitting out. But we totally enjoyed everything else about the property ideal spot to use the bus pass to get in and out of town. Thank you for a lovey few days and we would re visit and recommend to others.

The only thing we didn’t really like was the next door family were a little load and they smoked on their balcony which I know is permitted but it was blowing right across onto us. Then to top it off he began hockle than spit over his balcony made us a little upset so we went in. It could have been better if there was a little bit of a screen between balconies just to make it a little more private. Maybe make the area a non smoking area

Good size room and kitchen was equipped with dishes, cooking utensils and coffee. Nice balcony looking out into the woods. Loved the bus pass to get into town and to the gondola. Staff was great - helpful and friendly. Beds were comfy. No trouble getting parking near the room. Picturesque pool and hot tub.

Would have been nice if room had been equipped with some extra kitchen pantry items like plastic wrap and foil. Would have liked a small convenience shop/cafe onsite - or a free continental breakfast. Vending machine was good for snacks but an option to equip the kitchen with a few shopping items (bread, milk, eggs) for a fee would have been appreciated as we checked in after 10 pm. Room could use some updating - and a ceiling fan. Fans provided were loud.

Love the location, the nature and exterior ambiance of the lodge. The front desk staff was very helpful with all of our needs. Thank you!

Lots of trash on the property. I had to pick up wrappers and random items sitting there for days. The condos are extremely dated, and lots of deferred maintenance. The upper bath leaked into the kitchen, lots of scuffs, detached carpet on the stairs, broken tiles in kitchen floor, unsturdy dining room table that a person can fall if they leaned up against it. The pots/pans were terrible, 1 pot and 1 pan. The front 2 stove burners stopped working and then a family member had to fix it.

It was a great space for 5 people. The kitchen was quite well equipped. We really appreciated the complimentary coffee and hot chocolate. The balcony was a lovely place to site and take in the mountain air in the morning. The pool and hot tub area was fantastic.

It wasn't really a problem, and I should have checked into this more carefully. I didn't realize the bedrooms were below the level of the kitchen/dining/living area. It was a bit of a challenge for my friend's 94-year-old mother to climb the stairs, but we helped her when she had to come up and go down. And she loved the space!

We loved the pools, sauna and seating area with the great views. We loved backing onto the ridge on the main floor, was great for our toddler and dog. We were there celebrating our anniversary and a cousins birthday and loved the hand written card and gift when we arrived. They also called to check in once you arrive to make sure everything is good. We also requested our 3 rooms to be close together which was provided. I've never seen such incredible customer service from a hotel in a very long time! We will definitely be back!

Very minor, but it would have been awesome to have housecoats for walking back and forth to the pools/room. Other than that, everything was great!

When we first checked in. the fireplace smell started to set off a migraine (we were in the lower part of the condo). I approached the front desk and asked if there was a room without a fireplace (silly me) and explained the situation. She then gave me a key to the 2 story condo and asked to go and check if that was better. Hubby and I went to the room and the smell was less but there were also more windows that I could open for ventillation! Upgrade and no extra charges - Great customer service! Definitely would like to visit again!

Unfortunately was there for only 2 full days and really couldn't ask for more!

Fantastic location. Helpful staff. The bus passes were great. At some point I suppose the resort will have to update their interior and/or modernize (e.g., USB ports), but it was a wonderful time and we would definitely come back. With three Queen beds, a sofa sleeper, and two bathrooms we had plenty of room to breathe.

One of the window coverings didn't work, and our microwave smelled like burned popcorn (which means anything heated in there smelled the same), but otherwise it was great.

Everything! The views, the bus connection, the tranquility and independence. Resort staff were really helpful! The rooms were very warm and dishwasher was a great touch. The soaps all came from the same brand which used maybe lemon grass? It was an amazing smell and will forever remind me of this holiday. I got engaged to my partner at Lake Louise whilst staying at Hidden Ridge and upon our arrival back to the resort and chatting to some fellow English staff members, they even offered a complimentary wine for us to celebrate! It really made that day fantastic from top to bottom. Side note: the hot tub and cold pool were great. Sometimes at peak times there may be a few families there and it isn't very big, but it never felt cramped and everyone was friendly. There's also a hot room (like a sauna?). I think the clock was broken but besides that, again it was clean and relaxing! Good laundry facilities, reception offer coin exchange for the machines etc. It's also worth a mention that they let us check in a little bit early - we were so bloody tired. I just love this place lol.

I think the microwave wasn't working - I tried the plug and checking connections etc but couldn't get it to function. I would not say that this is a bad point though! We didn't really need it as we cooked everything we needed via the hob or oven. I also think if I reported this to the staff they would have fixed it, I just thought I was being dumb so didn't bother.

The rooms were very spacious and comfortable, there were one bed on the first floor, a sofa-bed and on the second floor another 2 beds. The kitchen had everything you needed to cook and stay for long periods with all appliances and cutlery.

We did used the fireplace, but even opening the chimney the space was smoky, specially the second floor. So I guess even in winter time you would need to keep some doors opened so you will have some ventilation to try to keep the smoke at minimum level.
