Really loved having a full kitchen (studio apartment). Saved some money on not having to eat out all the time. Room was spacious. They thought of EVERYTHING to make this a comfortable stay. They provide shampoo and conditioner, hair dryer, dishwashing tabs, firewood, coffee...Loved having a real fireplace! Added bonus is that the ROAM shuttle stops right out front and the front desk provides you with a free pass which will save you a ton vs parking in downtown Banff. Very friendly front desk staff. Great location- make sure to explore the viewpoints nearby on Tunnel Mountain Rd.

The studio apartments are very nicely appointed inside but have confusing access. On arrival, I basically had to park up a hill and then drag my stuff down the bend and then drag it up two small sets of stairs to this narrow hallway. So please be aware if you have mobility issues or strollers. If I stayed there again I'd pick a different room type. My room patio faced the street, so not much privacy from the living room. The bed was placed right by the door, the door had gaps and the corridor was noisy with people coming and going. Wish I had packed sleeping pills and ear plugs.

The loft style rooms were so cozy! Bed very comfortable and bathrooms were equipped with nice products from Rocky Mountain Soap co. The location was great because it was just outside downtown, away from the busy tourist area. It was so peaceful sitting on the balcony. The hotel provided guest with a free bus pass so getting in and out of downtown Banff was a breeze. Downtown is very accessible. Even a cab was only 14$. We liked how we were able to park right in front of our room making travelling with my two senior family members easier. The kitchenette was a great feature fully equipped so we saved a lot of money making some of our own meals. Would definitely recommend this resort and stay again.

Honestly, no complaints after our 5 day summer stay. We were worried about no air conditioning (very common in western Canada). But the windows opened and the hotel had nice tower fans in the bedrooms so we slept great. The mountains get cool at night.

From the friendly welcome at midnight to the continued excellence of service from all the team, my son and I had a wonderful time staying at Tunnel Mountain Resort in Sleeping Buffalo. The service from Brogan especially, with her insights, ideas, and research into helping us get the best out of our trip, and the thoughtful birthday gesture for my son showed her to be in a class of her own when it comes to service. She is an asset to the resort! The sauna was a daily retreat for me, and the gym, though small, provided my son and I with all the equipment needed for our daily workouts. Included in the price is the bus tickets down into Banff, as well as discount vouchers for rentals and excursions. With wonderful vistas and walks nearby and the quiet location away from the main town, this is an ideal spot for your getaway. The kitchen in our room also provided us with everything we needed in terms of pots and pans, utensils, fridge space, crockery etc - and we even had a composting bin! Fabulous! The provision of a local companies organic hair and body products enhanced the start and end of our days when showering. And for the evenings, there is a great selection of board games to enjoy! Highly recommend this resort to everyone!

This was my second time staying and I have nothing but great things to say about my stay! The staff were very accommodating this time after the room above us flooded their bathroom which also flooding ours. The staff gave us an upgraded room and offered a refund when we notice some of our property had been damaged due to the water!

Loved all about Banff and area, just what we wanted. The location is perfect as we prefer being out of the town area and access to everywhere easy from Tunnel Mt Road. (We had a car but bus stop to town is right at the driveway). No noise at night. Elk visiting the lawns. Room is very large and beds/sheets/pillows great. TV and wifi worked seamlessly. Bathroom shower huge and spacious sink/counter is a bonus as most rentals have little counter in bathroom. Kitchen was needed as we were on a 12 day trip. The only thing missing was a dish drainer or mat and a smaller cutting board. There is little space by the sink for washed dishes on a towel or the huge cutting board. All else was perfect, especially the view of Mt. Rundle on our little deck.

Studio room was renovated and great value for a longer stay. Having a full kitchen and equipment (toaster, coffee maker, electric kettle). Room was warm and cozy, and it was fun to have a wood burning fireplace. Option to park indoors for snow days. The location is right outside the bus stop that goes into town. I appreciated that they used local products such as toiletries from Rocky Mountain Soap Co and coffee from Evelyn’s Coffee.

While relatively clean, we found a few crumbs on the kitchen counter when we arrived. The facilities (sauna, fitness) had definitely seen better days.

Was very convenient having a pretty much fully-equipped kitchentte--helped us save on meals. Bus pass was also convenient when we didn't want to drive. Location not excactly walking distance from downtown, but for the convenience of a kitchenette, it was worth it. As a family of 3, we also appreciated having 3 separate beds--a rarity to come by. The wifi was excellent--worked well for light usage (social media, messaging, light web browsing, map apps, weather apps, etc.) Staff was very kind and helpful as well! All in all would recommend this place, especially for longer stays or if you have a group!

The only negative (and a very small one) is just the challenges of the parking lot--most guests drive SUVs or trucks, so just know that it is a bit hard to get in and out of parking spaces sometimes.

We found parking easily. The room was really quiet. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. It was small but perfect to cook breakfast and a few other meals. Having a large bed and two small beds in a room was really practical for a family with two kids. It was the first time that they didn’t have to share a bed during a hotel stay and they slept so much better. The staff was very friendly and the hotel was clean.

I would have given this hotel 10/10 if the pool hadn’t been so cold. We were really looking forward to spending time at the pool as our kids love to swim but the water was really cold so we were only there for 10-15 minutes and it was not fun.

The resort is located just on the edge of town with a marvelous view of Tunnel Mountain. The rooms are rooms with a tv in both bedrooms and the main room. Firewood and starter are provided. The staff is helpful and friendly and you receive free town bus passes for your stay. The room cleaning was done efficiently and we always had fresh towels and any other amenities we needed. Overall, it is a comfortable choice with no complaints

I have a particular dislike for rumpled sheets. The sheets were a bit rough with no contour so the under sheet was always lumping up.

It was a home away from home. I like that the kitchen was fully furnished with pots and pans, cooking essentials, dinner service, and most of the kitchen essentials. We cooked our daily breakfast comfortably. It was very close to downtown Banff. We had a great view of the trees and downtown Banff from our balcony. The woodburning fireplace was so cozy and gave us a cottage feel.

The place was a bit outdated. We stayed there for four nights and it was so inconvenient for us to reset our room keys everyday at the front desk, because they only work once a day.
