I loved the character home feel of the house, and the "penthouse" suite was lovely and comfortable. I loved that breakfast was included and there were a options to choose from. The location was perfect for where we needed to be.

Several of the power outlets in the suite did not work. The staff was very attentive and helpful in trying to get the issue resolved, and it was temporarily but they stopped working again. Other than that, the room was great and very comfortable.

Although a modest Guest House, this establishment is outstanding. It is in excellent condition. Our Penthouse unit was more spacious than we needed. When we reported a technical problem, staff were there to repair it within minutes. We had free parking, a rarity in such a central location. And a chef to prepare breakfast!

As we arrived after the "staff hours", we had to haul our luggage up to the third floor ourselves. The staff brought it down when we left though.

Lovely atmosphere following a very nice welcome. Breakfast was provided in the conservatory and was instantly cooked on demand and served. The room was outside, but attached to, the main building. Two locks from the SkyTrain the property was perfectly placed for the city centre and waterfront.

I only wanted a B & B with a nice atmosphere and this was perfect. I had seen mixed reviews but I couldn’t fault anything.

We were only there one night, our stay was Comfortable. Our plane was late arriving in Vancouver, which made us late to the house . Thanks to the housekeeper for staying back to greet us and hand the key over, we really appreciated that. The room was comfortable and very clean, which made our stay restful after the long journey from Australia. Breakfast was plentiful, the area was beautiful and really close to the train station. All in all we really loved our stay.

Set in a wonderfully picturesque suburban area just outside of the downtown area. Close to the main Cambie road, minutes away from downtown by car. 6 minute walk to the metro/skytrain system. Bus stops around the corner for trolley bus to downtown, and bus to olympic village and Granville village. Transport cheap, clean and efficient. Plenty of shops and restaurants nearby, check out the Italian round the corner, outstanding food and quality😋 Shopping centre nearby, plus all the regular shops. The guest house is a wonderfully quaint period style building, room clean, spacious and very reasonably priced if you compare it to hotel prices. Staff friendly and very helpful, breakfast available which is ok. We really enjoyed our 5 day stay there, highly recommended👍

Very good breakfast - we were told on short notice that it had changed to continental buffet style but we still got a choice of omelette, eggs or pancakes in addition to the continental buffet. - Also, the B&B is only 2 blocks from a Canada line station, so great connections to all directions.

The room was in the basement, which we had known before, so a bit dark - but very good size and nice and clean otherwise.

I loved the comfortable beds, the cozy feel of home and having windows to open for fresh air. The host was very nice, we were never bothered in the morning or at night. Having our own entry way without going through the house was great! Bright and clean! we even loved the infloor heating until it got too hot in the room. plus I felt so safe in the neighborhood.

The infloor heating was turned right up when we got there, it was nice until bed time. We felt like we were being slow baked all night. We asked for the heat to be turned off and things were much better with the heat off and the windows open.

Wonderful check in experience - staff went above and beyond.. Full delicious breakfast. Period house in a charming area, close to great restaurants and shops. Really nice area to walk or cycle around. The size of the room was fabulous - 3 separate spaces.

Double bed was tight as against the wall but understandable given shape of the room. The accommodation was a great size overall - 3 separate spaces.

Douglas Guest House is well located near food shops, restaurants and transport. It's about a 40min walk into Central Vancouver if you want. The staff were very courteous and helpful. our room was on the side of the main house. it had a kitchen area for coffee and other amenities. The bathroom was good with good shower pressure and hot water.

It's 50 metres from the main road with a major hospital in the area. Therefore, you get the noise of an ambulance siren occasionally, at night. Everything else about Douglas Guest House was to our liking.

ver y close to the Skytrain, bus, restaurants, shopping, Vancouver General Hospital, BC Cancer Agency (if your purpose is medical). Quiet neighbourhood lines with trees. It does have space for parking if you arrive early enough, although the spaces are quite small and can be difficult to get I. if you have a large vehicle

The parking area is small and hold 8 spaces, however it can be difficult to get into to a space if you drive a larger vehicle (SUV). There really is no street parking, which is very common in this area of Vancouver as most of it is permit parking for residents. We were not able to get our vehicle in the remaining space, but we parked our vehicle across Cambie in the little underground mall for the night. It was expensive, but our car was safe. Hotels charge $20.00+ a night for parking.
