Location was in a busy part of town, central to shopping, restaurants and bars, with very friendly and efficient reception staff always on duty. Entrance was very secure, particularly at night, important in a "lively" neighbourhood. Housekeeper was especially helpful. Room was very comfortable and had all facilities, just a lot smaller than I had imagined. Despite having a reputation for noisy nightlife, our room on the fifth floor was quiet and undisturbed.
I should have booked the next room category up.... The "Classic Queen Room" bed was smaller than I had expected and the room itself was tiny with just enough space to walk around the bed, and no room for a desk or chair. Not the best for a 5 night stay. After arrival, I looked more carefully at the small print and the two photos on Booking.com, and I suppose I overestimated the room. The bed was described as "a large double bed 153 - 180 cm wide - ours was definitely at the smaller end of that range. I'd stay there again, but next time I'd book a Superior Room and look more closely at the description

Rooms were clean. The quirky art was awesome. Loved the "No Diving" tile in the shower. Even though we were staying on a busy Saturday night, the nightclub downstairs was noisy. We did not hear any noise in our rooms. The location was an easy walk to parks, restaurants, and the cruise docks.
Housekeeping was using and blocking elevators when we checked out, resulting in walking downstairs with luggage.

Comfortable room and seemed very good value for such a central location in Vancouver (we searched around quite a lot)! The bed was comfy and the shower was good. Staff were nice and helpful too. On site (kind of, next door but accessible directly through the hotel) is a nice bar/restaurant where we ate one night.
There’s nothing that we didn’t like! One thing that came as a surprise (but not bad!) is just how central this hotel is - it’s right by one of the most bustling and lively streets in Vancouver - if that appeals then it is truly the perfect location for you, but even if not then just know that not all of the city is like this (many parts are much more chilled) and this hotel is still a great base (also, we had no issues with noise whatsoever, the room was perfectly quiet) :)

This is a super cool hotel with great decor. The staff were incredible and very helpful. I really liked how they check in with you by text to make sure you have everything you need. The restaurant attached had a great breakfast as well and kids under 10 eat free. We'd stay again for sure.
The building was built in the early 1900's so when they did the updates, it seems soundproofing was a challenge not easily remedied. You can hear conversations from the next room so depending on when your neighbour is up, you may be up as well. It's the same with the hallways.

The staff went out of their way to ensure our comfort daily. They texted to make sure we didn’t need anything and supplied what we asked for with pleasure. The facilities were modern, sleek and spotless, the stairwells always smelled clean and the lobby was well cared for making our overall experience superb.
The location was very centric, but Granville Street was very dirty, it had homelessness and drug addicts loitering about. The staff did tell us, when we asked directions not to walk that route to Granville Island, but it was the most direct route. I was also surprised there was no safe in the room.

Inside the hotel was better than the outside. The room was very clean and the cleaning staff were very friendly. The room decor was great including the bathroom.
The size of the room was too small especially with two beds. there was no space to put our suitcases. A bit disappointed with one of the reception staff as we got to the hotel slightly earlier, she said she would call us when our room was ready. We were walking around the city and it’s raining, so not ideal. We got back to the hotel at 30 mins before check in, the room was ready, so that was really annoying that we weren’t contacted beforehand.

Rooms and breakfast were good. Staff very helpful and friendly.
Had read alot of reviews about noise and I contacted the hotel before I arrived to say we were concerned about these reviews and they said they would allocate quiet rooms. We travelled with our 2 teen daughters and were allocated 2 rooms with a room between us. The guests in that room were partying all night and outside our room we could hear drunk people from about 2am til 3am. I understand we were in the middle of the city but I did note alot of people commented on the noise so just wanted to mention our experience.

I loved the layout of my room and the space! They made excellent use of hidden storage and open storage and it made it easy to stow luggage and be completely unpacked, even in a full room. We loved the security of the elevator and lobby doors, and it felt very high end. The bathroom was pristine and the room was well kept, and so stylish!
There was a heavy fragrance in the lobby and halls that was hard on one of us to handle. It was nice in theory, but hard for someone with respiratory issues to tolerate.

Hotel Belmont is located in a central part of downtown that made it convenient for us to walk around town. The building was well renovated an aesthetically pleasing. Service from hotel staff was excellent and pleasant.
The building seems to be quite old. We could hear people in the neighbouring rooms talking through the walls both upstairs, next door and the hallways. Since the location is quite central, we could also hear a lot of the outside noise but that is beyond the Hotel’s control.

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It has a cool vibe and the location is perfect for exploring the city. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The room was cozy and really quiet at night (for being located at a very busy street including night life). We liked the breakfast (with really delicious fresh fruits and everything you could wish for).
The breakfast room was in the hotel bar "The living room". We really liked it there with the music and the atmosphere, but it could have been cleaner for eating. The floor was very sticky and the tables not as clean as I wished for having breakfast (especially on the weekend).
