Great location, friendly staff. Corner room was quiet and spacious.

It will be great to have more gluten free options for the breakfast.

One of the most comfortable beds yet! Staff was very nice and helpful; excellent hot breakfast variety and really good coffee; great location; harbor and downtown are easy walks. TV and free WIFI were very good. We had a "partial" view of the harbor. Lots of outlets which are always appreciated!

Our room was on the second floor, so we could here children running around the room upstairs; a/c was fairly noisy; no dresser drawers; no body lotion or shower cap provided. Although we only used housekeeping twice, the bathroom floor was not cleaned. In addition, Victoria airport doesn't provide any "shared shuttle" service to downtown (about a 25 min. ride) we didn't rent a car, so it was either a taxi (about $65 CAD) public bus, or only a few Uber drivers (about $50 C).

Breakfast was good but same menu was offered with slight variations all 4 days we were there. Location was awesome, easy to walk to many places, felt very safe, beautiful grounds. Beds were comfortable. AC was awesome . Very quiet and nice to have a bit of a harbor view from our room. Nice to have the Pendray Tea House also on the grounds.

The curtains were broken and didn’t close which let in a lot of morning light. We were in a suite with sleeping quarters in a loft accessed by a steep flight of stairs. It was very warm at night so we really needed the AC on in order to sleep. Stairs felt treacherous and we had to go down them to access the bathroom at night. Loved the sitting area with a small couch but lighting was very poor, making it hard to read.

The hotel was nice and clean on the inside, a little old and worn out in the common areas and the outside, but rooms were clean. Had a few issues with booking cancelling my reservation, as my card was put on hold by my bank and neither booking nor hotel would honor my original price even when I called 1 hour after. Also 1st floor pet friendly rooms are not mobility limited friendly, as you need to climb stairs, just part of old building. But the location and value is excellent!. Just a few steps to parliament building, 10 minutes to downtown shops and fisherman's wharf walking distance. The loft rooms were well equipped, refrigerator, utensils, pots, stove but also not mobility limited friendly as beds are upstairs. Overall good stay, would reccomended and stay here again.

Not mobility limited friendly pet rooms or going to dining area. A little bit old, (but it was clean)

It’s not located in the downtown but on a quiet street, which is fine. It’s about 15-min to downtown and to the Fisherman’s Wharf in the opposite direction. The room is large and the beds are comfy. Their garden is really beautiful.

Their decor and facilities, e.g. the bath tub and faucets are quite outdated and worn off. It feels like an inn. The free breakfast is very basic. Though there are enough staff and it’s a big area, the setting made people get in each other’s way always. Given the high room rate being charged, I had expected the facilities and service to be better. Besides, the $15 per night rate for parking is on the high side too, as the location is not downtown and the lot is not monitored by a personnel.

Although a little old, everything was worth it. We stayed in a loft with a bunkbed and single bed. Super cute! Mattress was alright. The top bunk is awkward to get in and out of for adults, but w made it work. Breakfast was simple but satisfying. Everyone loved the waffles. Service was also good. I didn't realize parking had additional charges but the cost wasn't too bad. We parked inside the underground garage as we weren't planning to drive while in the city... It kept our car safe and cool. I love how they have a water dispenser at the ice machine. We got to fill our water bottles each day there. Thank you for keeping us hydrated. Overall with service and staffs, all of them were super friendly and helpful. Love that they try their best to be eco friendly (no plastics). Location is also great! Not too far of a walk to central and Fisherman's Warf.

Our room was spacious and clean, the bed was comfortable, we liked the sitting area with sofa. The manager brought us up a dog bed, which we didn’t need but it was a nice gesture. He also gave us a hotel branded water bowl and poo bag holder with bags, at least we thought they were gifts as we took them with us! Breakfast was superb, best we’ve had in many hotel stays. Everything was fresh, lots of choice and we particularly liked that actual cutlery and crockery were used…also jams etc were served in glass containers rather than the fiddly packaging that most hotels favour now. Environmentally, this is the simplest was forward for all hotels…going back, for the future! Staff were helpful, plentiful and efficient.

Great location, good prices and nice facility.

Had requested a late checkout upon booking the property and was told via email that we could keep the room until 4:00 PM for an additional fee, which I agreed to. Upon checking in, I was told the property was sold out and they couldn’t accommodate my late checkout. They did upgrade our breakfast to the tea house and offer to hold our luggage and told us we could hang out in the lounge while we waited for our ferry which was somewhat helpful. But not quite as helpful as having the room for the day like I had requested. For context, I had requested the late checkout so that my dad, who has mobility issues and can’t walk/stand for long periods, could have a place to rest. All that being said, this was my second stay and I would stay again.

Location is a 10+, the hotel stands on the waterfront, only a half block away from the Seattle, Washington ferry. The 2km walk to Fisherman's Wharf from this hotel is spectacular in the evening. The main parliament buildings are half a block away, and the access to the main downtown shopping is only a short 1 km walk along the seawalk from this hotel.

The hotel was renovating, I had to change my room, as the workmen had covered the windows with plastic. Also, the rooms on the 3rd floor have a high staircase to the loft bedroom area which a senior citizen would not be able to navigate as the loft does not have a bathroom. However, the pull-away queen-size sofabed is in the living area. These style rooms would be great for families with more than 2 children, as there is a bunk bed and a single bed in the loft area.

Staff were wonderful and it was the perfect distance from the inner harbour. Steps from the activity on Belleville, but far enough away to be quiet when it was time to call it a day. Amazingly comfortable bed, good WiFi, comfy seating in the room. Breakfast was fabulous and conveniently available for even the late risers to enjoy, which is a nice change from a lot of places we’ve stayed.

Room needed a little updating, maybe new carpet (or get rid of the carpet?) to help get rid of the ‘old’ smell. Overhead fan was a smidge noisy and we would have appreciated a screen on the window.
