The hotel was conveniently located to points of interest in a safe clean area of the city. The interior spaces were beautifully appointed. The beds were very comfortable and the linens were superb. We felt very relaxed and at home with two comfortable occasional chairs and ottoman where we could enjoy a drink and our morning coffee. Our en-suite was beautiful, with a soaker tub and separate shower. Equipped with a hair dryer and makeup mirror. I really appreciated the night light that activated when you opened the door.

This is a beautiful property. So happy that we booked this hotel. I have never come across staff like the staff at this hotel. They couldn’t have been more helpful, and went above and beyond to make our stay perfect  The hotel is extremely clean and comfortable. Our room was huge and beautiful. The hotel also offers fresh coffee in the lobby 24 hours a day. There’s also little extras like healthy fruit flavored water in the lobby and a big bowl of apples. The gym was very nice with filtered water to refill water bottles. We did not eat dinner at the restaurant. However, we did visit their bar twice for happy hour and snacks. If you are traveling to Victoria, don’t think of staying anywhere else except this hotel, if you’re lucky enough to get a reservation.  Also, the hotel is only a block or two from the waterfront. Location is perfect for visiting the main attractions in the area.

Beautiful hotel in a great location. We didn’t use the spa but several locals told us they had the best messages ever at the Magnolia. It was our anniversary and they upgraded our room to a corner suite. After we got back from dinner the first night, there was a complimentary bottle of champagne in our room. We had amazing views of the harbor and the parliament building. There are tons of really great restaurants in walking distance. We also loved the nightly turndown service which included chocolates every night and a fresh bottle of drinking water. We would definitely stay at the Magnolia again!

well-maintained upscale hotel in central victoria with better value than the more famous local competitor around the corner. rooms are very comfortable, clean and partially with beautiful views on the parliament building. the on-site restaurant is beautifully furnished and offered high-quality dishes plus friendly service.

the present staff was quite unbothered by both our arrival and departure - there was no welcome or goodbye, no assistance with our luggage, no water provided. a bit more attention to these details could make quite a difference on the overall impression.

We liked the location because our previous hotel was more rural. It is in the middle of everything and a vehicle isn’t necessary. The staff is amazing; very knowledgeable of the area, friendly, and willing to help! Love this place!

It is close to a smaller airport and the noise from that will wake you at about 5:00 - 5:30 in the morning (earplugs are recommended if you are a light sleeper).

We loved this friendly small hotel in Victoria. The staff are very helpful and the room 410 exceeded our expectations. It was very well equipped and maintained. We only had bar snacks and a drink so our restaurant experience was limited It is very convenient being close to the harbour and all the restaurants and bars in Government St They easily called taxis for us as we didn’t have a car We would recommend it to couples and families

Loved our stay at the magnolia hotel! Came here for our honeymoon and stayed for 4 nights. The location is perfect, the rooms are great, and the staff is all super friendly! This hotel also has amazing amenities. From a Dyson hairdryer, to nice body products, and amazingly soft bathrobes! They also had a bottle of Prosecco waiting for us in the hotel room when we checked in, which was so lovely. We also went to the hotel spa for couples massages and they were perfect. Would totally recommend it and stay here again.

Location was fabulous. Loved the intimate feel of the boutique hotel; it felt very luxurious and exclusive. The Courtney Room was exceptional. The Spa was lovely. All of the staff were incredible. From the door men, to the folks at reception, to the woman who took my room service order -- I felt welcomed and free to enjoy. There are so many amazing restaurants near by that it made Victoria such a pleasure to explore. The room itself was comfortable and a decent size. The bed was INCREDIBLE. The bathroom was a huge upgrade from our previous accommodations. We had a good chuckle at how the TV always seemed to revert back to closed captioning, but this makes me wonder if this hotel is an exceptional option for folks who may have different needs and abilities. Oh and the umbrella with the room was a nice touch! We will absolutely return to the Magnolia anytime we are in Victoria -- it is a no brainer. I would recommend it for anyone who wants a few days of comfort before/after exploring what the rest of the island has to offer.

Never ate in restaurant, but the location was perfect. Easy to walk to everything except Butchart Gardens, but bus was easy to find. Wonderful trip

Never ate in restaurant, no concierge and front desk staff didn't know alot about tourist things outside the major spots, like the Royal BC Museum which was mostly closed....but they all tried

The location was awesome, close to everything. We talked about the location a lot. Walking distance to everything. The only time we used our car was to see the Butterfly Gardens and shopping mall. Definately would stay there again!!

Nothing could have been better, just wished we could have stayed longer!! Will book your Hotel again next time we visit!!
