Perfect location, beautiful building and friendly stuff.

Main door of the bedroom wasn't properly fitting the frame letting lot's of sounds passing by the corridor, yet nothing extreme. Really high pillows leaving the sleeping a little of a challenge experience. The fan for air cycling in the bathroom wasn't working properly.

Staff Service, location and value for money was top notch

The only thing I found to be not the best is the bed in the room which was a bit too soft for my back. It would've been nice to have a firmer mattress

The room was perfect for 3 ladies. The location was good for Sightseeing. There was no breakfast but within walking distance were restaurants. It was a good value. They allowed delivery and pickup of mobility scooters that were needed for my 2 sisters. They were very accommodating when info was requested.

I wish I had of realized the first floor still required an elevator. It was a little awkward with scooters. Also when the elevator went out stairs were an issue for my Sisters. On the up side the Hotel had them worked on immediately so only a slight inconvenience.

Great downtown location, proximity to many amenities and entertainment facilities, the room was very nicely renovated, clean. I had the king suite and the bed was very comfy

Being on the first floor, I was able to hear the music from the club, but I did expect that. My room was beside the ice machine, so that was a little annoying hearing it go off regularly. I think it would help if the gap at the bottom of the door was sealed or had those noise separation flaps.

I liked so many things about this hotel. The location was prime! It was near so many things and so easy to walk everywhere in Victoria. It also has its own pub, restaurant, liquor store, bar, and even a night club. I didn’t even get to explore the whole thing! The room was also very comfortable and clean. The bed and pillows were comfortable, and there was an AC since our room got quite hot. I would definitely stay here again!

I don’t have any dislikes of the property.

All went well. Our room was newly renovated and everything brand new from fabulous king-size bed to excellent walk-in shower and pull out sofa. So our suite was very comfortably appointed.

The location is central and wonderful for access to historic Victoria and its waterfront, so great for walks, shopping and super bakeries and restaurants. Like most cities that attract large numbers of tourists, it sometimes gets too crowded and a bit too noisy but this is not unexpected and a minor issue.

We have stayed in many high priced hotels. This hotel was as nice and in some cases even nicer than some of those. The room size and bathroom size were very spacious, and clean. New Laminate floor not old dirty carpets (big plus). We were very pleasantly surprised with how nice it was. Oh, and extra points for not using cheap toilet paper. So many hotels cheapen out on the toilet paper. Overall, we loved this hotel and would be happy to stay again.

The beds looked very nice but weren’t all that comfortable. Quilt top mattresses would be nice. The Tap on the bathroom sink had very bad water pressure. It took a long time for the water to heat up and sometimes it just trickled out. Also, the coffee and creamer in the room were very cheap quality and horrible tasting. Please use good quality coffee pods, and If you have to use powder cream, get coffee maté individual sachets. These are small things that make a huge difference in the overall enjoyment of the stay.

Great location downtown, access to a secure parking lot nearby(for a $10 fee), friendly and helpful staff throughout the hotel and entertainment areas, very clean room, and comfortable bed, pillows and linens--excellent value! We attended a concert at The Wicket Hall, and it was great to literally walk out of our room, down the stairs, out the front lobby door into the lineup, down the stairs and into the venue--maybe three minutes door-to-door! I will absolutely stay here again!

Keeping in mind that I truly feel this room is a great value, the room is very small (but once in bed, everything is well positioned and comfortable), the bathroom and tub are also very small (but totally sufficient), and there are only a few hooks but no closet area (however, there is a high shelf, a dresser and shelved nightstands that could hold a lot of items.) As it is only April, the rooftop patio was, thankfully, closed, as it was on a lower floor directly outside our window, so I'm not sure what the noise level would be from May to October. Even having said all that, I would definitely stay at The Strathcona again anytime of year!

All the staff were so pleasant and helpful. The lift broke down and we were on the 5th floor but by the time we returned from dinner it had been repaired. Susan at reception was especially helpful by prolonging our parking apace for a few more hours on our departure day. we loved the view, sunset over the harbour! Spacious and quiet and comfortable with a great location.

Nothing not to like - except it would be great to be able to get a nice breakfast in the hotel itself.

The location was great and close to the harbour. Nice to have fridge and microwave in room. Beds are comfy, and the rooms are spacious. Staff are friendly and helpful.

The coffee in the room was pretty bad. The comforter on bed was not breathable and hot. If you need to use the air conditioner, it is very loud. It turns on and off intermittently. The soundproofing isn't great, but not terrible.
