Nice room with great view over the city. Very clean and a good shower / bathroom. Also the common area and kitchen were lovely and very comfy to sit there.

We didn't see any employee in our whole stay. We arrived ast 5pm, so a normal check in time but even with ringing the bell and looking for someone it wasnt possible to find someone to welcome us. Since we had questions about parking, the room etc. this wasnt really a good start. Also Parking is on the street in front of the guesthouse, so there are no reserved spots and you have to get kinda far back to find a spot sometimes.

Beware of the hot water availability, apparently there's a limited amount, if other rooms are showering it can take up to 30 minutes to get hot water available again.. they should warn clearly about this, or do something about it. Still worth it.

The Victorian heritage property has a nice, homely feel to it and adds to the stay. The rooms were very comfortable. Also the common room area was very inviting as was eating breakfast with views of the castle next door. There's a small kitchen so you can make your own meals as well as a washing & drying machines to use (free) but be aware of the times when you can use it as the owners use the same machines for sheets etc. Portable fans were also provided (in the cupboard)

While the location provides a quiet neighbourhood it is a long walk into town (15-20mins). Because of paid parking in the downtown area as well the highly sought after free street parking near the accommodation, I didn't dare move my car the 2 nights I was there. I was happy to walk into town but it's definitely something to be aware. Also because of the era of the property it is not friendly to tall people, and with a cramped staircase it can be challenging lugging suitcases upstairs.

I spent two very pleasant nights in the single room here while vacationing in Victoria. The room was spacious and featured a kitchenette as well as a good bathroom. I had been travelling a while and particularly appreciated the free laundry! The house is a historic building that has been furnished accordingly. The living room was very comfortable for reading and chilling out, and there was a well-equipped guest kitchen too. Believe them when they say there are a lot of stairs! There are! Free parking outside on the street (make sure to pick up the parking pass when you check in). It's a shortish and pleasant walk to the centre of Victoria, maybe 30 minutes or so, so I just left the car outside the Craigmyle throughout my stay and walked everywhere. I would absolutely stay here again next time I am in Victoria.

Everything: Astounding old house, tastefully furnished. Very nice area with many bus stops close by. Short distance to Downtown. Very friendly personnel. Beautiful room with a very comfortable bed and ample storage cabinets and closet. Tea/coffee available 24/7. Fully equipped guest kitchen and laundry room. Good breakfast deal. Very clean and neat place. Just overall very well-organized. I‘ll have to come back!

Yes, you can hear other guests. But apart from that the others were very considerate and it was very quiet at night. Also very quiet residential area. There are no other negative aspects. It’s perfect!

I loved just about everything about this property--the charming rooms, the beautiful common area, the coffee/tea service, the slippers provided for use inside the hotel, the comfy beds, the quiet atmosphere, etc. This time I was traveling business and I was very glad to see they had a computer with a printer available for use when I needed it. Next time I come here I am planning to bring my whole family, however, as it was a really lovely experience.

The breakfast was convenient, but ultimately not something that I would order again given the other great options available in Victoria off the property.

The 10$ breakfast was good, though I thought it was included with the stay. The dining area is beautiful, and the guest kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. The room was wonderful, though we missed having an electrical outlet in the bathroom. The king-sized bed was very comfortable, and our view was amazing. We loved the ambiance, and it was like “coming home” every time we walked in. Coffee, tea, and cookies were always available, the code and key system for coming and going is very smart, parking was always available, and the hotel is very close to downtown. The owners are friendly, kind, and very accommodating.

The building is beautiful and has many characteristic elements, it's like you're walking into someones house instead of a hotel. It feels very cosy. The hotel is situated in a calm neighbourhood and within a five minute drive to the city centre of Victoria. The room itself is clean, spacious and the bed is very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and check-in/check-out was easy to do.

The first morning we had a nice and warm shower. However, the second day there didn't seem to be any warm water left and we had to shower with cold water. We didn't have the time to wait for 30 minutes for warm water, as was stated to do so on a form with descriptions in the bathroom. Also, our upstairs neighbours didn't make much effort to walk softly on the wooden floors when they arrived in the middle of the night, which woke us up as noise travels more with wooden floors. A reminder of that upon arrival might help.

The Craigmyle is a really nice Victorian building in Victoria, the rooms are nice and cosy, very clean and the location is perfect to explore Victoria and the surroundings. Being able to use the living room and the facilities in the guest kitchen is a convenient feature, especially if you want to sit together at the end of an exciting day.

It is an old Victorian building: so don’t expect elevators or air condition. But that is nothing, the hosts are holding back. All in all it was a very pleasant stay and I can only recommend it.

Location was great!! Beds are so comfortable. However, no TV’s in our room. 😩😩😩

Better coffee, it was quite weak.
