This property was outstanding and the location in a historic building right on the water front was beyond words. The staff was extremely helpful and even offered assistance with our luggage as our room was in the fourth floor and required using the stairs from the third floor where the elevator ended. The rooms took advantage of the wonderful gabled roof and created a cozy atmosphere. The bathrooms were modern and they even had electric fireplaces in the rooms. One block to Water Street and 2 to George Street. The beds and bedding were well above the average for a city hotel. There was also plenty of free parking on site for guests.

The breakfast was limited to muffins and yogurt along with beverages. The sitting area was small for the size of the property with only a few tables so could be crowded at times.

The staff were so welcoming, the room was lovely and warm with a great view of Signal Hill, and the location was excellent. I'd absolutely stay again. Just a lovely historical boutique hotel.

No USB plugs so couldn't charge anything (but to be honest, our converters were buried in our bags). The only real complaint was the amount of single use plastics. Breakfast was full of little milk containers, disposable cups, and plastic spoons. I was really disappointed at the lack of environmental awareness other than a fountain to fill your water bottles

I liked most of the staff, they were helpful and accommodating. The exposed wooden beams/joist were very rustic and appealing but, the lack of insulation between floors had me hearing co versatile and every step taken by the patrons above.

When I asked to book a room for an extra night the European accented woman wasn't helpful other than to say my room was booked and I have to go online and find another room myself. The same female and a younger male, also with a euro accent, seemed annoyed when I asked about laundry facilities for my own use.

Murray Premises was a very welcome surprise as it is in the middle of the downtown area, with easy walking to most central pubs and restaurants. The room and bed were very comfortable, clean and spacious. The helpful staff made excellent recommendations for local dining. Parking and late night security are well thought out. Very good value for downtown St. John’s.

The Keg and Jack Asstor’s across the street blocked our amazing view of the harbour from our room! Not a problem.

Love the location where it was staff amazing and I did enjoy my time there… did love waking up early in the morning and walking down to the docks just to sit there relax and enjoy the weather

When ordering food trying to get the driver to the place was a headache the parking lot is hard to find but once seen is easy to get there… but that more on the drivers they should know the place

very unusual heritage property in an excellent location! loved it and Andrew at reception was very helpful. the rooms are large and well appointed. We arrived a day early so ended up with two different rooms which were both very nice. the continental breakfast was good and plentiful. after seeing other options we are very happy we stayed here and highly recommend..nicest hotel we saw. lots of food choices nearby.

The glass wall open to the shower, jacuzzi tub and bathroom seemed a bit odd, would suggest a curtain inside the bedroom to make the openness optional for those wishing privacy while bathing.

Great to be back in St John's ..amazing what they've done with the Murray Premises ❤️ Loved the decor and how they've kept the features in the building. Large comfy room with good facilities and spa bath.😊 Great location....did lots of walking round the city exploring Old haunts from my younger days😊 Staff were very helpful / friendly and had great customer service skills - could teach hotels in the UK a thing or two!!

The room attendant tried to enter our room at 8:30am on our first morning....despite being advised we were going out later and could she come back- our room wasn't serviced( not that I can't make my own bed!) ..🫤 Please try to find way to minimise use of cling film.. everything at breakfast over wrapped!! .The environment doesn't need this...

In my job, I’ve had the privilege of travelling around the world, & staying at some of the finest hotel chains, but none of them compare to the warmth and hospitality we’ve felt at the @murraypremises . They went above & beyond in making sure that we feel special on our honeymoon, and we had a blast celebrating my husband’s birthday. This lovely boutique hotel is situated in the heart of downtown & the staff is some of the nicest people I’ve ever met. Many hotels can be in the business of “hotels” but only a few can match up to the hospitality of the Murray Premises.

Location was great! Bed was comfortable. TV was a good size for the room. Loved the jetted tub.

Didn’t like that the window did not have a screen and was not private. The towel warmer did not work. Lots of dust on lamp shades in bathroom. Half used bottles of shampoo and conditioner. Table located by bathroom was dirty. Piece missing off a dresser and louder than usual because we were located by the utility room.

Check in was easy. There is parking on-site. It's close to everything downtown.

I miss the old breakfast they used to serve in a room downstairs. Also, I wish the info was updated, as it said that's where breakfast was. But it is served next to the check in desk in the lobby
