We had such a great time. The room was so cozy. It was very clean and no musty smell. The breakfast that was included was above expectations. The pool was great. We had supper at Tom's place, one of the 2 on site restaurants and it was fabulous.

My husband ordered the romantic package of champagne and strawberries to be waiting in the room as we were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. With tax it was $37.95. I would not recommend wasting your money as it consisted of an Ontario bottle if sparkling rose and 2 medium sized strawberries.

Location is great, and the rooms were nice.

Breakfast food selection wasn't great for people with food sensitivities. I can't eat gluten, eggs, pork ... and the offerings fell into these categories. Thank goodness for fruit salad!! I checked the tea, and it is fortunately guaranteed gluten free. The staff were unable to tell me what was in the hash brown potatoes, so I couldn't eat that either. An allergy/ingredient listing for all foods would be immensely helpful for anyone with food allergies, etc. Offering a gluten free cereal, while not a fave food of mine, would be good too. Fortunately, I brought GF granola and a container of almond milk with me.

The room was very spacious and comfortable. Bathroom fan was working, but had no suction; must have been very dirty inside for the air not to be able to move through it. Plenty of storage space in the room. Great to have a fridge! Staff was great!!

The included breakfast was terrible. We ate there the first day and didn't return. The food was prepared for the 6:30 am start, was put in bain-marie's and sat there; scrambled eggs had had the consistency of rubber. The waffles, were also premade and left to steam, thus turning them into sponges!! We returned the second morning to find the same set up and the same choice of food and decided to go elsewhere. We never ate there again. Furthermore, being so discouraged with the quality of the breakfast, we hesitated to eat there for any of our meals!

This is our second time staying at the Fireside Inn. There is a rustic charm about this hotel that brought us back. The staff are very friendly and always willing to help with any request. The pool just opened this weekend and we pretty much had the pool area to ourselves. Pool bar service is a treat and the pool area is very well kept.

Toms place bar and restaurant does not open till 4pm on Sundays this makes no sense and led to us having lunch downtown. Pillows are very soft my wife loved them but I couldn’t sleep with them. When I asked for. firm pillow I was told they have none , this was very disappointing. I stay in a lot of hotels for work and everyone to date either has a mix of firm and soft or can provide either on request. No vanity station for makeup in room not a major one but it was annoying for my wife. We went for a meal in Stefans restaurant had a reservation 8pm and half way through our meal we were the only people left in the restaurant we felt rushed and uncomfortable. Food was amazing though.

breakfast was very good with a good selection, Tom's place was very comfy with good food room was clean and large, bathroom was very clean had all the amenities we were looking for central location close enough to all the attractions of the city

Breakfast could maybe go a little longer say till 11am on the weekends and 10:30 during the week

Room was great. Really comfortable, great lay out, floor space, decor and furniture. Nice, comfortable couch to watch TV. Very clean.

Television was old. No Hi-Def/smart TV features. Made watching live sports not as enjoyable. Toilet in bathroom. Albeit the bathroom was spotlessly clean, the toilet was as old as the TV. Very low to the ground and very small bowl.

Rooms were cozy and clean. The outside pool was great for having a quick break and cool down in between activities. The breakfast offered lots of choices, from fruits over cereals and fresh waffles to sausages.

We had nothing major to complain about. Tiny thing: at breakfast, plates and cutlery could benefit from better cleaning.

We stopped in mid afternoon for nachos and drinks - staff was friendly, the food good and the drinks cold.

We called while on the road and asked about checking in early to change for my nephew's wedding. The staff was very blunt, not compassionate to our situation. They said no, no rooms ready before 1pm. They did not offer us any options or suggestions. When we finally arrived, the room was still not ready, however another staff offered to let us get ready in their washroom upstairs, so it worked out ok after all.

The entire experience was fantastic. The room was so original and cozy, such an enjoyable experience. So convenient to have the restaurant in the hotel, especially because the weather was bad. It was so festive and fun - it really had the best decor. The waiter was so friendly and accommodating and really made our night! Breakfast buffet was a filling meal. Will definitely be staying there again!

I took friends who had never stayed here, and they loved it. We ate at the bistro, it was excellent. Also, we had drinks and food in Tom's place. Excellent food and atmosphere.

I booked the jacuzzi suite, and it was perfect. Just wish the fridge was a little larger. There was not enough room for snacks and drinks. Otherwise, everything was excellent, and service was exceptional.
