Location is just steps from West Lake. Museums, Southern Song Imperial Street , Hefang Street are within 20 minutes walk. Hotel is well maintained though a bit old . Daily room makeup is efficient. Breakfast is superb, good variety of food and delicious.

We were checked-in to a room facing the interior. It was quiet but very dim even at daytime. At our request, we changed to a room facing the street . The room had much sunlight though there was some noise from the street. All rooms have no views of West Lake though the hotel is so close to West Lake.

Great location, right next to the West Lake. Rooftop terrace amazing, even though there was no service there at that time. Staff was helpful and friendly.

When we arrived we had to request the staff to change our towels and bedsheets for the baby bed, as some marks here and there; what they did quite fast. One guy lighting up a cigarette and smoking in the restaurant one evening, and the next day one guy smoking in front of our room, then in the toilets downstairs next to the bar. Not really the staff’s fault here, however, they need to react quick, be stricter in implementing the rules, and probably get specific detector system. Well, for the one in the room area, the guy was smoking under what looked like a smoke detector, but nothing happened.

I think it’s the old policy which requires a deposit at check in that leaves a taste of distrust even though it’s a very common practice. we have been traveling a lot lately and booked accommodations through booking.com. Many places we stayed already abandoned such practice. Also the upgrade we got through booking.com was nice but not including the lounge was quite alienating. We felt great in other hotels such as St. Regis and Taj Mahal when we got the upgrades with full service.

The location is perfect. It's within walking distance to many attractions. The breakfast buffet is really nice. We were impressed by the variety. The indoor pool is small but very clean. We are happy with the stay

The bedroom and bathroom are comfortable, but could use some update. I wish there were a microwave in the room.

Excellent location which is right next to the famous West Lake. It is also very convenient for visits to other tourist destinations. Accommodation is very comfortable and affordable.

Some rooms have no views. This was not a problem for me. Choose the room type carefully when making the booking if one wants to have lake view

Good location, clean room.

There’s strong cigarettes smell get into my room around midnight and we can’t sleep so the hotel offer another room to move. Even it’s prohibited to smoke in the room, he can’t find where the source of the smell. My bad luck.

Also enjoyed the buffet suppers ( 3x) .. Great food and all the wine you could drink all at a very reasonable price..
