Good location, very service-minded personnel. Good value for the money. I arrived smoothly at the hotel by metro from Pudong airport, one transfer and less than 10 minutes walk from the metro station. Bought a breakfast voucher for 68 yuan for a really good breakfast.

We loved the breakfast! Different options of desserts every day. The hotel staff were so welcoming and helpful, and they all speak English quite well.

If the room had a floor carpet, the room would have been much more comfortable. The bathroom sink had some problem with running water down, so we had to wash with so little water to avoid blockage. Or is it a water saving strategy?, I don’t know. Oh yeah, the doors!! We could hear everything in the corridor just like there is no door at all. Luckily, we were on the 8th floor, so not too much noise. Still, they should install more sound-proof doors. The lift is surprisingly slow, but it is OK.

This is by far the best hotel service we’ve experienced. The staff went above and beyond, always greeting us with warm smiles and eager to assist with anything we needed. They were incredibly accommodating, whether it was offering directions, providing local tips, or simply ensuring our stay was comfortable. It felt like they truly cared about making our stay special. The room was spotless and well-maintained, with daily cleaning that kept everything fresh and tidy. The water pressure in the shower was fantastic, which added to the comfort after a long day of exploring. The location is excellent, with so many attractions just a short walk away. We particularly loved being only a 15-minute walk from the Starbucks Reserve. It made grabbing a coffee in the morning incredibly convenient. One thing to note is that the washing machine doesn’t have a dryer function, so we had to hang our clothes to dry. This wasn’t a major issue, but it’s good to keep in mind if you’re planning to do laundry. The breakfast was one of the highlights of our stay—there was a wide variety of delicious options, and everything was fresh and flavorful. We absolutely loved starting our day with such a great meal!

Washing machine could use service. Dryer function is broken.

Nice location, wonderful breakfast. English is not the strong skill but managed to make the communication work with Google Translate. The reception staff is very nice and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. A 10-ish minute distance from the National history museum metro station. The hotel is in front of the Suzhou creek so you can have a very pleasant walk or run, especially at night when the city lights come to life.

It's not a hotel's fault, but there were no restaurants close-by that I could find online. You can take a tasty meal at their restaurant from a small but good quality menu so it is not a big issue.

The location of the hotel is convenient, located in a peaceful area, just by the Creekside. Its a wonderful stroll in evening times, and you can see many locals jogging, biking or just walking by. The room was clean, spacious and daily kept up to standards. The staff spoke good English and they were welcoming. The AC was strong enough to cool down in the 40+ degrees. Would highly recommend if you wand to stay in a less crowded area, but still have easy access to metro (5 min walk) or get a bike and stroll around the creekside.

Nothing to dislike, you really get great service compared to the price you pay.

Fantastic location by the river and nice view. we had 2 superior double rooms, excellent size, absolutely comfortable big sized bed, very clean bed linen and towels. They change towels every day, There is a free water available every day and small useful things like tooth brush, paste, tea available 24/7 from reception. Shower gel , shampoo and milk available in the bathroom. They have food delivery robot, it was funny, we liked watching it. Like everywhere reception doesn't speak free English, but I repeat it is everywhere - just use translator. And unlike everywhere reception is helpful. N.B. there is a laundry 24/7 - 1 wash around 1 eur , drying the same, very convenient. you can pay only with alipay, if you don't have it - ask reception - they will pay for you and you will pay to hotel your normal way visa/cash. You can open windows - but not fully. Lobby has a nice scient - thank you! Breakfast, if you come early - is very rich, absolutely worth to pay for in advance.

just an observation, I did like everything - this funny thing about toilets in China... there are no toilets brushes in the whole China

Great location on the canal and nice functional hotel. Staff very accomodating and was perfect for a budget city break. Can easily walk to the red line (line one) in 10 mins and to People's Square in 20 mins.

Not necessarily a criticism of the hotel itself but smoking in indoor public spaces is a widely accepted thing in China - regardless of whether it is a non smoking room/floor or even if it is legal to smoke in hotels. It is also well accepted to leave your door open and 'talk' loud enough for people in other rooms with the doors closed to hear. It is not my place as a foreigner to critique different practices but as a foreigner these things might impact you. It may be the case that you need the staff to ensure that other hotel guests follow the hotels (and country's) own rules - which of course they will!

The room we booked was very spacious for two, plenty of room to open two big luggages and floor space to spare. Beds were comfortable and toilet was okay. Toiletries provided were good. Breakfast was also a wonderful surprise; decent food and varied choice every day. Staff were very friendly even if they mostly only spoke Mandarin, understandably.

It's quite a walk from the nearest metro station, especially with luggages, but still doable. The street leading to the hotel can also get quite dark and quiet at night, even though we did not experience anything bad during our stay there. Also not too much amenities nearby, only at the metro station. But there are vending machines in the lobby.

The room is equipped with everything you need tv, water kettle, towels, a fridge, a safe etc. Water bottles, tea bags, coffee, towels are being exchanged every single day. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash and even body lotion is available in the bathroom. The location is also great you’re 1-2 stations away from West Nanjing Road and People’s Square. I really have to say this was the cleanest hotel room I’ve ever been to I’m very impressed by the cleaning personnel! Would always go back to this hotel when in Shanghai

Good location, centered, canal (kind of river) side, there is promenade to walk or jog, metro lines 1, 13 etc. nearby, absolute cleanliness, if you want every day room cleaning + 2X0,5 L water/day provided, big TV screen, small fridge, large bed, enough space in room to do e.g. some Yoga. CCTV-6 movie channel (Chinese....). Kettle to make tea, 2 teabags and 2 instant coffee bags /day provided.

Staff doesn't really speak English, communication a bit difficult. - Only Chinese TV channels. - At least small microwave would do good to make purchased food warm.
