Room was nice but didn't come across anything like the photographs on the web site or on booking.com. It was nowhere near as spacious as we thought it would be but it was still a nice stay. The staff were very helpful and the location is good - short walk to a main metro line and a longer but relatively easy walk to main attractions like People's Square, Nanjing Road and The Bund.

The bed was less than comfortable, a night on concrete blocks would be a more accurate description of the comfort level - if you like firm beds then this is your place but if not then you are in for a bit of a shock. The room overall was nice and had plenty of wardrobe and storage space but the Nespresso coffee machine did not work properly it kept crushing the aluminium capsules and after about 6 of them being destroyed we gave up - there is a Starbucks about 25 metres, or less than 1 minute walk from the hotel front door so caffiene fix was at hand.

Beds and pillows comfortable, reasonably good value, location ok.

Whichever designer signed off on marble bathroom and shower floors should be forced to wear ice skates for the rest of his/her life. Only narrowly avoided slipping more than once. Who thinks wet marble is a good idea? No way to turn on the shower without getting blasted with cold water, hard to retreat quickly enough because of above mentioned slippery marble floors. Not enough power sockets and none next to bed.

The staff were very helpful and understandable. We took the early flight and reached the hotel beyond the check in time, but we were allowed to check in earlier without a request. Strategic location, within a walking distance of the upscale malls and shopping streets. Nevertheless, some small local food stalls could be found nearby and also not too far from the famous Huanghe road.

At reseption was a woman from Germany, Carolin, who helped us alot with good english. She is very nice and knew everything. Had to change the room twice. Got different room, what pictures showed, another had problems with wifi. But every time we got 10 squaremeters bigger room. Very stylish.

Wifi was very good, when it worked.

Location and the washing machine

Seems there's a real problem with people smoking in the "non-smoking" rooms. Had to move rooms after the first one stank so badly! They should fine the smokers heavily. I wasn't the only guest having this issue, others reported it too.

It is located in a good spot with restaurants and shops around but on a quiet street. Nearby subways station. The room size is spacious with washing machine and oven. Good for both business trip or pleasure trip.

The electricity plug in bathroom doesn't work and has to plug in the hair dryer in sitting room.

Perfect location makes everyday easier.

Even if we asked for a smoke free room, the first room provided was so full of the heavy scent. This might need further cleanup afterwards.

This hotel was a little gem and the exterior is very nice. It's nestled in between the super high-end fashion malls, museums and the bund. Central location makes it easy to get around. The room was cozy like an apartment and breakfast was ample with versatile choices. Monika was fantastic!

The entrance is a little hard to find and decor in rooms a little dated. Elevator was slower than usual.

Hotel is very well situated. It is near all the centre city interesting places including very charming gardens. There are several subway lines. Hotel room is big and comfortable. Breakfast is good. Staffs are very helpful.

Equipments/furnitures are old. But functionally speaking, it works.

The room is bright and spacious, the furnishing is modern. The bed and pillows are really comfortable. There are complimentary drinks in the fridge. Generally, clean room.

The air quality of the room is ruined by the cigarette smell combo with the sweaty smell left by the previous occupant. This was faintly detectable even after 2 days in the room.
