Customer service is fantastic! The hotel staff are very attentive and will help you as best as they can. The breakfast was delicious with the buffet and custom made omelet. The beachfront location of the hotel made swimming in the ocean very easy. We were able to surf and jetski. I'm happy we stayed here because the main areas of the city were very loud and busy. The taxi costs about 10,000 COP - 20,000 COP ($2.46-$4.92 USD) per one-way trip to Centro or Getsemani which is pretty affordable and accessible since there are taxis everywhere.

The hotel upgraded us to the master suite which was had the best view and a large amount of space provided, however the room was outdated. Also there is construction being done in the hotel lobby so it gave off a wet mop scent which bothered me but didn't bother my partner.

The Dann is a nice option in the Bocagrande area of Cartagena. The staff went out of their way to make this gringo feel welcome. The breakfast was good, as were the cocktails at the bar.

My only complaint is about the hotel structure itself. Because of how the hotel is designed, you have to walk up and down stairs to get to the elevators. I had a bad knee injury last year, so this made it sometimes difficult. It would not work well at all for someone with more serious physical challenges.

They charge me 250 thousand pesos extra because they said I was with 3 persons at the time in the room even when I told them that they can verify I was alone in property, I had my do no disturb on door, the know the door patiently for almost 5 minutes just to check the bar, an hour later to do an inventory of the towels an hour later to clean the room. So why the purpose of have the sign no disturb available if when you used it no one cares about it. I don't like drama so I decide to leave the property early and the air-conditioning need an upgrade

Better than expected: - Quiet room, I slept well - Nice view over the beach with the birds soaring in the sky - Friendly and helpful staff, sweet girls at the reception - Shower with hot water - Quiet hotel, permanently maintained to keep common areas clean - Healthy and varied breakfast, no greasy mass like in most other hotels - After checkout you can still use the swimming pool and luggage storage for free.

Needs some maintenance. The hotel could come up with some creative options for early check in and late checkout. Every day we saw people hanging out in the lobby for hours. We, ourselves, arrived at 9am and had to leave late. We would have been happy to pay a little more, but no real options were offered.

Property was clean, had friendly staff, ample room in dining room, nice breakfast and good access to the beach.

I had to take the rating down because as a solo traveller, having a private beach was a key consideration in selection this hotel but the description of the hotel was misleading. There was no private beach, only access to the public one.

I thought the staff was excellent generally very attentive and friendly. The pool area was well kept. And almost without exception every item on the menu was delicious, fresh and well prepared. Wrapped in clear wrap as it was delivered to your table or to your room. Outstanding views from our room on 17th floor. For the price this hotel was a great value and a great location right on the ocean.

My only complaints are minor first I was put in a room that was adjacent and just below the floor getting renovated so there was some noise during the day. And secondly, when you do leave the pool area and go out onto the beach the vendors are relentless and really take away from the experience of just relaxing.

Staff was OUTSTANDING! They were kind, professional and paid a lot of attention to detail. They went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The location was AMAZING! Great view. The two bedroom suite was HUGE and more than enough room to accomodate our large family.

The location is perfect. walking walking distance from virtually anything close to many restaurants and the old town is within walking distance. The staff at the hotel was very accommodating and they were able to help us with any question we had.

we had a junior suite it was very nice. It was clean. It had everything we needed, and a great view of the ocean.
