The room was clean and comfortable with comfy beds and a large bathroom. We cannot comment on the pool, because we did not use it. Breakfast was good and was included in the price of the room. There was free parking available and the hotel is about 15-20 minutes drive from the airport, so perfect for an overnight stay on arrival to, or before departure from San José. The hotel offers a free shuttle to the airport, which is very convenient and two of our group made use of the offer. It all worked well. We used the restaurant in the evening and the meal was good. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

This seems to be a hotel for short stays. It feels a bit more like a motel, rather than the typical Costa Rican guesthouse. People are constantly coming from and leaving for the airport. That was just our impression. We expected this and we still enjoyed our stay. One thing that we did miss was a fridge in our room. At the reception you could rent a fridge, but as we were only staying one night we didn't bother.

I'll always stay here when coming and going in Costa Rica. The rooms are spacious, comfy, and well-equipped. The staff are very pleasant and always helpful. The included breakfast is widely assorted, well presented, and graciously served. Tha availability of a pool, work-out room, and computers is a bonus, as well as the airport shuttle! And the lounge are with bookshelves of novels is great. Obviously I can't say enough about Adventure Inn, but, one last thing, all this for an amazing price makes it a traveler's gem.

The atmosphere is happy, well attended, clean, dependable and surrounding neighborhood is walking friendly but you don't have to leave the hotel to enjoy your room, wifi, restaurant service, pool has great sunshine and lots of spaces for groups and family. Our tour to Irazú from hotel was better than expected, our guide was professional, safe, engaged, and experienced with wrangling a tour, mixed ages backgrounds. We enjoyed being close to airport on departure and the staff arranging transportation, the great job of laundry and the fun art and cultural heritage awareness of Costa Rica throughout facilities.

I think Adventure Inn will eventually upgrade the pressure on hot water. For now, if you want hot water: a shower might take longer because it requires lower pressure for heat system.

The communication with this property was fabulous! They offer an airport shuttle for free and have breakfast included in the price. The food at the restaurant is fabulous and well priced. This was the only hotel we had with a bathtub during our whole holiday in Costa Rica (we like a bath). The hotel is really clean and the staff were wonderful!

The pillows at this place weren’t that comfortable for me. I like a hotel that has different fitness pillows on each bed or others to choose from at the front desk. The decor was a bit dated but lovely and fun none the less.

The hotel looks really nice, a real Costa Rica style. With the taxi its a short distance to both city centre and airport, so very convenient, the room is very comfy and the staff very friendly..

A lot of noise with other guests leaving early for the airport. I think they could do some adjustments so that you hear less noise in your room (I was wearing earplugs) and I’m not sure if this is true but my doctor think I got my ear infection from the swimming pool or whirlpool. It did feel that there was not a continous flow of water and there had been 8 kids inside just before me, so it was maybe a stupid idea of me to get in anyways 🙈

Nicely appointed yet basic rooms. Helpful staff. Superior breakfast options compared to most Tico facilities. Lots of long term staff clearly content and genuine folk with one another and the clients...a good feeling.

Hot tub was barely warm. Rooms are a bit small and those on the highway side can be noisy. Location is a bit tricky to find even with GPS and local knowledge... partially the blame of road closures and no detour info (standard practice here)!

The breakfast was very tasty. They had a variety of choices including typical tico (Costa Rican), full North American, omelets and continental. The staff was always friendly and helpful. I really appreciated the staff! Most were bilingual. We didn’t use the pool as it was windy season, although many people were. Our room was enchanting. I liked the floral paintings on the wall. The hallways were enchanting with all the depictions of Costa Rican life.

I loved how unique and cozy it was, it felt very much like a home, an eccentric home but a home. It's not the usual/boring sterile hotel style. I chose Adventure Inn because everyone said it was charming, and it is! The room was extremely spacious and quiet for the cost, and I always love having the option of a fan because I don't like using the a/c. Also to have the nurse come to the room to take our covid test prior to our flight was EXCELLENT! We even got a breakfast packed included in our airport transfer for us in early morning flight. I cannot say enough about Adventure Inn, it was perfect!

I loved the homey-ness of the Adventure Inn! It felt like staying with family, which means a lot when I am visiting a new place for the first time with four kids! Every single staff member I met was exceptionally service-oriented and kind. I loved that it isn’t a chain hotel and that the staff seem genuinely happy to be working there - many were singing and working. No joke. I loved the giant family room with three beds and that the front desk arranged drivers for us to transfer to our next destination and to take us shopping for essentials. The manager even arranged for sandwiches to be waiting for us when we arrived, hungry, at 2 a.m. Really - everything was perfect. We will definitely be back.

The Adventure Inn was a great place to stay on our final night in Costa Rica as a family with kids. The hotel spaces and rooms are beautifully, uniquely decorated. The restaurant, pool and hot tub, convenient airport shuttle, and free international calls made preparation for the return to Canada convenient and stress free. The staff were helpful and friendly... They went above and beyond to assist with some last minute challenges we faced. Thank you Adventure Inn!

The only things I would note - we did not have a mini fridge. I had been taking those for granted as we like to travel with fruit and a few perishables. The hotel is two floors and doesn't have an elevator. If carrying all your luggage up for one night may be an issue, I recommend you try to request a room on the main floor.
