The view is amazing!! Beds were comfy. Price was very reasonable. A/C worked very well. All staff were friendly and helpful. Ruben the cat was my daughters best friend for the week.

Floors in room were dirty. Bottom of feet were black. Inconsistent housekeeping. Sometimes had enough towels for 3, sometimes didn’t. Ran out of toilet paper twice. Location is amazing for the view and if you want something away from Tamarindo city noise. However, we often used Uber instead of shuttle as it only ran every hour, sometimes less frequent. Hindsight…I would have rented a car to get around on our own schedule. However, shuttle driver operates as cab when not shuttling guests. Just slip some colones. Ordered room service once. It never came. It was just toast so we didn’t complain.

Beautiful location for a vista of the town and bay. Hotel is up a somewhat steep hill , with all rooms looking out to sea. Very clean , spacious and modern. The beach club facilities down at the beach are great, with free entry and a dollar’s shuttle fare. There’s a v good buffet breakfast with daily changes of choice.

A shuttle bus to town is available most hrs , except 10 am and 4 pm when it’s most needed! The hotel is v quiet at night as most people go into town . The last shuttle is at 9 - too early. The walk back is dark but safe, and taxis are readily available .

The hotel facilities and pool were awesome, you can enjoy watching the sunset because the view is amazing. The partnership with the Langosta Club was a nice surprise. It's a good option for spending the night and go out and explore the area during the rest of the day.

Attention and menu at the Nauta restaurant was quite poor, the pool bar opens late and closes very early. There are no kind of attractions at the hotel like pool table, gaming room, play area for kids or teenagers, so I don't recommend this hotel for families. Room could have been more clean, specially the shower.

The views were amazing and the pool was lovely, our room was spacious and was nicer then the pictures. We really enjoyed our stay and the staff were lovely. The bathroom was a bit small and the shower head was not providing much warm water the first couple of days but it was so warm that this was not THAT big of a deal. All in all it was lovely.

The only reservation is how expensive the mini bar is in the room, we spent an extortion amount at the mini bar but other then that it was very lovely.

amazing views especially at sunset, comfortable beds, location is very good. the beach club is really nice too. easy to park and move around by car. howler monkeys right outside the hotel and a skunk sighting at dinner was exciting

the gym is offsite and by appointment only with max of 5 people (we are four). this is a bit silly as there could be something onsite. food is just ok, breakfast was a bit monotonous with no fresh vegetables and only 2 fruits. oddly the coffee is terrible — worst we had in our whole stay. there are plenty of good restaurants nearby.

1) The staff: the staff was amazing, very knowledgeable, quick to answer any questions we had and extremely friendly. 2) The food/view: the restaurant prices were reasonable and the food was SOOO tasty. Honestly better than American food! Also, the views were breathtaking, I couldn’t stop looking at the sky, just so pretty especially the sunset and sunrise. 3) The cat; he was so sassy, but adorable. I couldn’t stop petting him, he was so friendly and definitely the boss of the hotel lol

The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable, however I found the bathroom a bit tight. It wasnt easy for more than one person to use it at a time. Staff went beyond to assist us out of a tight spot - we were very low on gas and there isn't a gas station in Tamarindo! Nearest one is 20mins away, so one of the managers brought gas in for us. Pool chairs were very comfortable and the views from our room were amazing. Loved that the beach and all restaurants were so close by, yet the position of Wyndham left you feeling removed from the busyness of the day. Also appreciated the quantity of and positioning of electrical outlets in the room. Made it very easy and comfortable to work from the balcony if one desired and have multiple items charging at a time. Enjoyed the variety offered at breakfast, but found the hotel all day/dinner menu to be a bit pricey. There are loads of good restaurant options in town though, so I'd recommentd foregoing the hotel one unless you really need it. The coffee provided in room was reasonable quality!

Water wasn't provided free in the room as a courtesy upon checking in, all consumables had a charge associated (which is fine for the minibar but in a hot, dry climate it would be nice to have at least one free water).

Amazing view from the room balcony. Rooms are large, modern and tastefully furnished in a relevant local style. Top cocktails from the pool bar, which also has the same stunning view over the coast. Only ate once at the hotel, build-your-own fish tacos, which were good. There is a steep, but fun jungle hike up to the hotel (if you don't want to take the shuttle) which I would only do during the day. On that path I saw (and heard) some howler monkeys in full effect. Beach club is another good facility, though I was only in it once.

At night, hotel is a bit too far walk to back to - so need to time it to get the shuttle, which stops too early at 9.10pm. But you can get a cab for $5 - $6.

Excellent view, infinity pool was gorgeous, great front desk staff and tour concierge, location had beautiful ocean-facing balconies in every room. Shuttle service from the hilltop down into town, and back up. Membership at the Langosta Beach Club made for a great beachside perk.

Wifi would frequently cut out; housekeeping didn't always bring enough washcloths/towels for 2 people; service at restaurant/bar was erratic (our initial waitress disappeared for a long time and we had to be served by a different waiter, who was at least very attentive once he noticed us waiting a long time). Distance from the center of town was a bit of a minus, but it is not that far, walkable for any person in good health, at least in the daytime.

The staff - especially the restaurant team, were terrific. The pool and view were phenomenal: I loved the infinity pool with view of the beach and ocean.

This isn't really a dislike and more of a comment for people who are interested in booking. The Wyndham is great and the pool and view are phenomenal. However, the hotel is at the top of a hill. The walk from town is up a steep hill. The hotel provides a complementary shuttle but it only runs once an hour.
