August 2023

This was one of the most amazing hotels we've been to. It is big and spacious and even though we were there in August and it was probably fully booked it never felt too crowded or noisy. The staff were all top-notch - maids, cooks, barmen, pool staff, performers, receptionists, bellboys - they all took care of every issue or question we had with big smiles and genuine enthuesaim. We came with a 2.5 year old child so requested a quiet back facing room that was indeed very quiet even during the night entertainment. The room was very clean and constantly kept clean - maids cleaned it 2-3 times a day! The room was well equipt and the beds were very big and comfy. We liked the diversen selection of superb a la cart dinner restaurants and also found some good restaurants a few minutes walk from the hotel. We also loved the pool layout. If you come in August the water is warm (over 30 celsius). There was a beautiful paved path you can walk near the ocean, very romantic at night. The Spa had extraordinary unique massages / treatments - thumbs up to Violeta for a very relaxing massage.

The hotel's beach had great cabanas and romantic spots, however walking into the water was a bit tough with all the stones and plants. Bring water shoes. It may be a big investment for the hotel, but removing the stones and replacing that with sand would turn it into a dream beach. It's great for swimming though.

that you charge 15$ for a coffee machine in the room.. a 5 star hotel should have it for free like every other hotel i stay in.

Great staff, amazing cleanliness, very good Therapists in Spa (Victoria is Top!)

Not sufficient parking (i was instructed to Park outside the hotel), No espresso in-room, no temperature control, no shaving amenities, food very average, spa facilities very aged.....all of these expected in a 5* Hotel with such history like Elysium.

This place is like Heaven on Earth. I don’t think I could describe how good this place is and the photos on their website don’t justify it. It was that good and we didn’t want to leave. The hotel itself is absolutely amazing in terms of the style, quality, and much more. You’re paying for the experience in this hotel. Everything is done with such excellence and you can tell by just looking at the the quality of the materials that things are made of, in particular the wooden furniture. The decor is incredible and the views around the hotel make you feel like you’re in paradise. The main ring shaped swimming pool is much bigger than the pictures make out and there is also a more shallow jacuzzi type pool in the centre next to the beach bar, plus a kids pool, and an adults pool for those that want to spend more time on their own. The service from the staff was excellent and they go the 2nd mile for you. We went for our wedding anniversary and they sent champagne to the room which we didn’t expect. The breakfast buffet is incredible in terms of the selection, quality and the environment of the seating area as you’re surrounded by a lovely terrace with views of the palm trees. We paid for half board and had the different themed buffets. Whoever makes the tomato sauce for the Italian section needs to be promoted! My son is so fussy and he ate his dinner in 5 minutes! There were loads to choose from at the international night and the Mexican night had fantastic food. I love Mexican food and the Fajitas were amazing. We were in the terrace area with live music and in the evening with the sun going down, it’s a really romantic setting. Our room, which was for 2 adults and 2 children, was really spacious with the kids beds cleverly built into the side of the ground floor room which they loved. Our bed was very comfy. I rarely sleep well in hotels but I this bed was great for me. You basically get what you pay for at this hotel as it’s more expensive than other hotels I’ve st

The beach isn't great but I don't see the point of going there. The hotel has so much to it that you won't ever want to leave, with great swimming pools and plenty of sun beds. I should have asked the staff how to turn the a/c up as I was a little cold during the night but that was my fault.

The staff are amazing , we especially have to comment on everyone in Restaurant Bacco , they are exceptional and treat you like family , Luigi the restaurant manager cannot do enough to give you an amazing experience, Chef Andreas created the most fabulous dishes off menu for my wife who is vegan and gluten free , along with everyone else who are outstanding The Royal suites are excellent to stay in with the added benefit of the adult only Royal Pool which is a must if you are looking for a quiet couples retreat We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough

The only little negative we had was the windows on the balconies were not sound proof ! If any other guest in your close area were out on the balcony you could hear every word in your room even with doors closed

I have been to the Elysium a number of times and I love the hotel itself, the building, the communal areas, the pool, the breakfast etc. and the staff are very professional

I just think overall for the high prices you pay to stay, eat and drink here things aren't as high quality as they should be, the air con in the room didn't get particularly cold, pillows were very thick and firm, the shower leaked on to the bathroom floor in both rooms (mine and my parents) and the lunch at the Mediterraneo restaurant was quite average for the cost of the dishes in my opinion

Beautiful grounds and pool area. We stayed in the Megaron wing which has its own private adults only pool and thoroughly enjoyed having this privacy. Room was very spacious and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay - the housekeeping staff was also fantastic. The Elysium has everything you need that you don't need to step foot outside the hotel if you choose not to. Wonderful choices for dining throughout the hotel, superb buffet breakfast with so many different choices for a healthy and/or rich breakfast and great vibe in the evening on the outdoor patio overlooking the wonderful hotel views. All the staff was very attentive and accommodated all of our requests - as a bonus we were also treated to wonderful chocolates and champagne in our room because it was our honeymoon.

If you are looking for a romantic getaway I recommend booking one of the rooms in the adults only Megaron. This is a fantastic family hotel which means there are lots families with children and we benefitted from having a quiet pool to escape to. We were lucky that the weather was good enough to enjoy the outdoor pool because the indoor pool was very noisy with lots of children swimming.

The resort features all the hallmarks of a five-star experience, but all of this comes a close second to the natural beauty of the gardens that surrounds it. Very nice rooms, fine bars with great choice of local and international sweets and snacks, great restaurants with excellent food and service all around the hotel. Smooth and very helpful professional check in and out. If you are smoker you are allowed to smoke on the open terrace attached to the bar or on your room’ s balcony or terrace. No pesky insects or mosquitoes during our stay- either because it was hot or because of the planting of aromatic bushes?

One thing worth mentioning - the hotel is right on the coast, the hotel has a small beach, but it is neglected. No one cleans it of sea grass, it visibly lacks regular maintenance. A tangle of royal swimming pools may be enough for many, but the sea and the beach are among the main reasons for choosing any hotel. To make the stay perfect, this hotel would also deserve a well-maintained beach, which the surrounding hotels do not have. Neverthelees it is the place worth to return.

The building and pool grounds are beautiful. The staff are all extremely friendly and attentive. Good selection of food and cocktails in the indoor and outdoor restaurants. cant say enough about the staff, really went out of their way especially with your little boy.

The beds are far too soft in the bedroom. Kids club did not allow parents to stay, we have a 2 year old child who is more than capable of using what they have but they would not allow it, bit disappointing. They did have a small kids room but it was like a sauna and really suited to infants under 1.5

Wonderful attention to detail and exceptional, genuine friendly service from all staff. Superb breakfast selection. Peaceful and immaculately kept gardens and pool area.

We really loved everything about the hotel and used the free shuttle to the old town one morning. Disappointingly so much of that area is under redevelopment and not much to see which wasn’t mentioned. We walked from there to the harbour which was very pleasant but sadly the beachfront walk back to the hotel is also under construction which also wasn’t mentioned. Only minor things and it didn’t spoil anything at all but I think we’d envisaged a daily beachfront walk to the harbour from the hotel for a coffee or beer and it wasn’t quite like that along busy roads.
