This is a great hotel for the budget traveler. It is a very clean but old hotel. Have the right expectation as this is a mom and pop budget hotel and not a resort. Location is great for shopping at Ala Moana mall (nice food court), Don Quijote (Japanese dept. store), Walmart, Sams Club. We drove everywhere else. A big nice breakfast for $5 is the deal, any other place is $20+ for meal and coffee. Parking is fine as street meters are free 6pm - 7am and then $1.50/hr. Use the ParkSmarter app and you can feed your meter remotely.

The resort fee seems like just an extra to the room rate, but all the hotels are doing this.

The pool was really nice and the $5 breakfast was awesome and filing and had a vegan selection. The room was comfortable, clean, had a nice view of the mountains even though there was some construction going on next door the noise was not too bad. Lift to kalakaua avenue average anywhere from 9 to $20 depending on the time of day. And the staff was so nice! Thank you

I didn't find anything negative about this property. It was a good value and even though it wasn't right on the beach you can walk to ala Moana Beach or take the bus to Waikiki very easily

We stayed for two nights. The hotel is better than the reviews score. It has good value, location is convenient, room was clean, The $5/pp breakfast with coupon was especially convenient for us.

Don't use the parking lot, meters on the street can be used with the app. No charge during 6pm-7am .

Breakfast was amazing, menu is great and time duration for breakfast is good. Thank you for the coupon, great value for the meal. All the staff was friendly. I ALREADY recommended this place with my co-workers who are planning to travel there in Hawaii.

The only thing that I would like you guys to improve is the house keeping schedule. We stayed there for five nights, on the fifth day only the house keeping came. It should be in the middle of our stay not the day before our check out time.

The hotel room was spacious and we had two big and very comfortable beds for the both of us. The staff was very friendly and late checkin was no problem as the reception is open 24 hours. It is an older hotel, but the mattresses are changed frequently as they were not worn at all and were very comfortable. Room-cleaning is every four days, which I would have liked to be more frequently, but you could get your towels exchanged anytime you wanted. The breakfast was amazing. The food on Oahu is very expensive so the $5 breakfast at the hotel was a delicious and cheap option. The location was great as well. The Ala Moana Center (mall) is a five minute walk away, Walmart is right there and Waikiki and Honolulu city centre are both close and can be reached by foot or bus easily. All in all we will definitely be staying here again on our next visit to Hawaii.

Room-cleaning could be more frequent.

The location is very good and convenient for the family travel, and the price is quite matched with the expectation.

We stayed here for 4 days, but the hotel didn't help to clean the room or replace the towel even once.

My son and I were very happy with the location and convenience of the hotel. We had a brief stay but we did find that staying at Pagoda was a good choice. We were able to easily walk to Ala Moana Shopping Center and the surrounding stores including Ross, Walmart, and Don Quijote. We felt safe walking in the area even at night.

The only thing that I didn't like was that when we first entered the room, there was a slight odor that smelled like old furniture/carpet. I know the building is old, but maybe some upgrades would be a welcome change. If you eliminate that, then guests will feel comfortable.

This is an older property with a lot of character. If you are used to brand new generic hotels, you may not enjoy this place. That being said-the room & lobby were very clean, the location is surrounded by excellent little restaurants, a fantastic Asian grocery store, and is within walking distance of a beach, and a large mall. The staff is friendly & helpful. The $5 breakfast offers numerous choices and very generous portions-all excellent. We will go back.
