Hampton Inn Auburn

The breakfast buffet had a nice selection of items. The only thing that wasn't available were packets of mustard. I like mustard with a sausage patty. Also, the desk clerk extended the kindest offer to me after I checked out on Sunday. I stopped at the front door and she asked if I had forgotten something. No, I needed to grab some moistened paper towels from the public lobby restroom. When I told her what I was using them for she wanted me to take rags/old washcloths instead. She so sweetly got two for me. (I was going to my parent's gravesite and needed something to clean their headstone as it's always dirty.) That was such an act of kindness. Special thanks to her once again.

On Saturday morning there was an adult male's voice suddenly shouting in the hallway with small children. Apparently, they had run out of the room, he followed them, and they were locked out of the room. It was 7 am. He was in a rage and was using expletives left and right. It was extremely disturbing. This had nothing to do with the hotel operation, but a very bad moment in my mind. I am still struggling on whether I should have notified the desk. It seemed to be a moment to get child protective services involved.

This is a very clean and pleasant property in an area under new development on the outskirts of Auburn. It was convenient to anywhere by car. The staff was generally helpful and friendly. The facility was not only clean, but well maintained. The area in which this property is built has sidewalks! That makes it easy to go for a walk or a run, and I did both. The luggage carts at this hotel deserve mention. They are high quality, and designed so you can hang things with straps, such as briefcases or musical instruments, on them as well as place items on the floor of the carts.

My only disappointment is that one staff member who was on duty at the front desk the morning I checked out did not seem to care that much about customers. I thanked her for a good stay, but she never thanked me for patronizing their business, nor did she make me feel that I should come back. All the other staff members I met were very friendly.

my only downside would be the water pressure for the shower. could have been the shower head. but really that happens with a lot of hotels. I think hotels also might want to get ride of the multiple turn shower head also. but beyond that, I was only there to sleep over the 3 days. I was out at the lakes beyond that

The breakfast was great and there was someone there the entire time making sure that the food was hot and the trays were never empty.

It was a little confusing at the pool. We're used to seeing a clean towel station and at this location they lay fresh towels on the chairs and tables throughout the pool area. When we walked in there were a lot of people so we had no idea what towels were spoken for. However, the amazing front desk manager brought some for us.

Very nice amenities and location. Clean, cozy and nicely decorated! The beds were comfortable and we loved the modern feel of the room. Great breakfast choices as well!

N/A - the hot tub was out of order, but we didn't have time to use the pool/spa anyway. Just advising for future guests.

I did not have the breakfast, just coffee. The location is perfect for me because I was visiting family in Avilla so it's a short ride away.

There really wasn't much that I didn't like. I did find it strange that a got a knock on the door from housekeeping when there are signs all over stating that you will only receive housekeeping services if you schedule it. I had not scheduled and I didn't have my do not disturb sign on the door because I figured not necessary since I did not schedule anything. So I was up earlier than I wanted to be.

Staff was friendly. The breakfast was well stocked and very good. The person who oversaw the breakfast was constantly checking and very professional--as well as friendly.

I was looking forward to the Hot Tub. But it was cold water. I asked about it and was told it had a problem and they had to fix it and refill with water and it wasn't hot yet when I wanted to be in it. So I would have liked the Hot Tub if it was HOT

In town for funeral had a room booked at another location down the road. Terrible conditions poor customer service! Had to find another location last minute, Angie at front desk was able to get us a room quickly assuring us it would be very nice and super comfortable. She was right!! She went the extra mile making us feel welcome with late night snacks🙂

I think the breakfast is similar to other hotels, nothing that stands out the scrambled

The scramble eggs could be better. There are precooked fried egg are better.
