The pros: free gated parking, friendly staff, and a quick check in process. The room was clean and looks like some maintenance has been recently taken care of. We were in the pet friendly part no yucky smells.. The beds were comfortable and had 4 pillows each (queen beds.) The breakfast was good. The dining area was overall clean. The indoor pool was ok. The water was clean, not over chlorinated. Check out was fast and simple.

Overall I felt like this hotel was on its way back from a little deferred maintenance. It was within what could be expected from this price point but could very easily slip into disappointment. The breakfast while good was the same everyday and there really has to be a better way to serve the country gravy.

The staff at the Clarion were amazing, friendly, warm and helpful. We enjoyed the breakfast very much, there was a good variety of breakfast food and drinks which we looked forward to each morning. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the beds were very comfortable.

Being disabled seniors, we found the room a bit tight overall as I had my walker with me...no space to store. We didn't like on one particular morning to be woken by constant banging on the pipes (we found out later). We rose to find we had no water at all. As we had come to Eureka to attend a wedding, and, had just endured 11.5 hours of train and bus travel to get there, no water and the noise outside was hard to take. Once they had fixed the problem, all was well after that.

Most incredible was the gate around the hotel. I felt safe as an adult female traveling. I will choose this hotel again for this reason. Great location to shops. Breakfast was great options. Inside the lobby is beautiful. The music played was awesome.

One day pool was warm and amazing and one day it was too cold to swim. Wish it was warm all the time. My room was to close to the street I was up a lot cause of this. 1 room key worked on outside doors and 1 room key on our room. Thankfully brought both at all times.

Friendly staff, nice comfy room, felt secure as the car park and accommodation is all behind a fence (required a code to open gate). Also the breakfast was very good - best we've had in the 2 weeks of travelling around Oregon and Florida. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Room a bit dark, even with all the lights on. The area the hotel is in is a bit run-down looking, but nothing much they can do about that. We had no problems anyway, and we did walk out a bit to find a restaurant for the evening (Pachanga Mexicana - which was excellent by the way)

The hotel room and staff were absolutely lovely - so much space, hot water, large bath, large and very comfortable beds and pillows and easy access to gated secure parking. The staff were helpful and lovely and efficient, even gave us a great suggestion for dinner (Lost Coast Brewery). The breakfast was great as well - eggs, sausages, biscuits and gravy, danishes, coffee and juice, waffles, cereal and more. We got in a little later than expected due to traffic so didn't get to see much of the city but by the looks of it, it's quite close to the Historic part of town and the water. Thanks Clarion Hotel!

Not the nicest part of town at night and in the hallway it was pretty clear someone in the rooms next to us was smoking something other than tobacco - this didn't permeate our room though, just the hallway. Other than that we had a lovely overnight stay!

The front desk staff was so nice. You can tell it's an older hotel but they've really updated it. The rooms felt up to date and not dingy. The included breakfast was delicious. The property is gated which makes me feel safer. Great value for the price.

Bathroom lighting was very dim. And there was an opened bottle of water in the bathroom which made me think the room might not have been cleaned very well. The included breakfast ran out of most time am hour before it closed, then refilled a few minutes before it closed. Seemed a little odd.

The place was clean, staff was friendly, easy check in, gated parking. Bfast was great! Waffles, eggs, sausage, burritos, cereal, etc. Bed was mostly comfy, room was dark and quiet. Indoor pool but we didn't see it. Room has fridge/micro. Walking distance to a delicious and authentic Mexican restaurant with great margaritas! 5 min from zoo. Had a great stay

Staff was wonderful. The maintenance men helped secure the trailer my motorcycle hauls,, because, I was there for 4 days and didn't want to take it on all of my sightseeing. They were wonderful. The breakfast room was delightful and the breakfast was delicious and well tended by the staff

No elevator

Really good breakfast options, staff on it to keep it stocked up. Pool is heated. Parking is secured via key pad entry. Most comfy beds I've slept on to date for a hotel, 100%

Didn't like the coffee station and ice bucket in bathroom, so I removed them to common area away from heavy germs area (thought this was common practice? )

the room was very nice the only problem I experienced is that when I woke up I had flea bites on my back on my left leg and two fingers

I liked the location and the beds were very comfy
