Ocean el Faro Resort - All Inclusive

Choices for food are excellent with 6 different cuisine restaurants and a buffer hall. There is also a decent cafe within the hotel. Staffs are very friendly even though their English is not the best. They would find a nearby colleague to help with the conversation more often than not. There are many pools; each with a bar hence I did not have to go far to grab a drink. The snack bar is also convenient for quick bites and its location is perfect; right in the middle of those pools. Pools are also shallow enough so kids can safely play in. The hotel also has a small beach. The sea water is clean and there were many beach reclining chairs to enjoy. My room is spacious for a family with 2 small children. There are organised activities everyday to try inviting guests to be involved and have a good time together.

The sofa bed in my room should be improved. In particular, the mattress was far too soft and it wasn't comfortable.

We had a penthouse room with the rooftop Jacuzzi. The property was very pretty and the Lobby was my most enjoyable area to relax and hang out. However, the music is only ambient like getting a massage vs music with some bit of energy to at least groove along.

The restaurants and food selections were very boring and average at best. The pool music was not a party energy during the day. The entertainment at night could have easily been much better with just the addition of a DJ in the sports bar. But, any higher energy music was changed for lower energy music. Very disappointing. The overall energy of the Resort was too low day and night compared to other resorts in Punta Cana. Also, the train transportation service was very some timey at best... We ended up having to walk with our bags to the lobby area to leave, because of the poor transportation organization.

The staff was amazing and the property was beautiful. House keeping came everyday and refilled toiletries and mini bar.

They were too pushy about giving us a “tour” that they said would take an hour and included breakfast but it was only to get us buy vacation packages. They’d call our room everyday and even tracked us down until we agreed to do it to get them off our back. Plus they have other local vendors that bothered us every time we’d go to the buffet as well. The beach was very dirty and no one was able to go into it.

The resort is beautiful and very clean. The lobby has to be one of the most beautiful in the world! The service was so attentive! Leave BIG TIPS! The government only paid a few months of unemployment benefits and these people WANT TO WORK! We have traveled extensively and have high expectations. We chose to stay in the Privilege suite, ocean view. Wow!

This newest of the Ocean resorts was recently reopened after being closed 15 months. There was a lot of seaweed on the beach, but they are working on clearing it. We just went by taxi to the cove in the distance- Macao - for one afternoon.

There was no service at the Buffett. No water, no coffee, no wine unless you were prepared to work hard for it

The facilities are great, the slow river, the kids waterslides, the beach, the lobby is an awesome place to relax, absolutely stunning architecture and decoration.

We really liked the breakfast and the staff was sooo friendly, attentive and nice. Not only guest service, but guards, gardeners and so on- everyone was helpful and always positive. We were really surprised :) The best were Kelvin at the beach and the girl in coffee shop. The hotel area is very big- so be prepared to walk a lot. There are lots of pools and a cool lazy river. Spa and gym are nice and rooms are very big and nice. So overall- we were very-very pleased. Thank You!

If you need to do the covid rapid test, be prepared for a very long waiting time. We booked an appoitment for 12 and we got the test done 13:15. When we’ve waited for an hour we were a bit pissed already, then the doctor took us in the cabinet and told that she needs to eat, because her head will ache :))) It was the only negative moment and we could see that the hotel staff was also really worried, because there were lots of guests who waited the results or test and had a time limit. That was really the only negative moment in our stay, but eventually we got the tests done. So all good.

I like the lazy River. The property is beautiful and many areas to choose. The Lobby is Extremely Huge and well kept. I love the Coffee in the Lobby and at Mikes. Kelvin at the Beach Bar was very helpful and professional. There are too many to mention

The thing I did not like about the property is too many staffs were not able to articulate English. Entertainment consists of mainly Hispanic music and English. Half of time at the plaza and the pools I am bored because of too much Hispanic Entertainment. The food in the restaurants took too long to be served.

The resort is nice, in Uvero Alto, a bit away from Bavaro. Lots of pool options and water activities for children. Several bars throughout the resort. The rooms are comfortable as are the bathrooms. The staff was friendly and work to keep the resort clean and running well. Only had the food in the buffet restaurant, couldn't get reservations one night and missed my reservation the second night. Nightly show was pretty good. This was my second visit there.

Would be better if you didn't need reservations for all the restaurants, a burger spot shouldn't need reservations.

What I like about the facilities were that it was very clean!! As soon as we arrived everyone from the security,bellboys receptionist , and the bartenders at the Lobby bar were extremely friendly & welcoming! we also had a Booking.com concierge that would call us to make sure everything was going okay! His name is Antonio Martin.

What I didn’t like about the property was that the selections at the buffet needs to be more fresher! Sometimes the mangu was super dry or old. That also happened with the neat! The selection in general was limited! So at times it was hard to find something to eat! But the specialty restaurants were excellent!! what I noticed about this time the minibar was not refilled with soft drinks after the 1st day. That also happened to my daughter who had a rooftop room.
