it was bright and so peaceful there right by the Nile river staff were very friendly food was good and they even recognized that it was my birthday and surprised me with a whole cake that made my day it’s situated right in the Nubian village where you can just walk out and walk around the village they also helped me arrange some activities to do in the area def a 10/10

it was just a lot of flies which is a given being that you are in a village and everything is outdoors but over all an amazing experience

Lovely stay in the heart of the nubian village. We especially loved the food at the restaurant, so delicious!!! The staff are so helpful, organized transport to Abu Simbel & a traditional felucca ride on the nile at sunset.

The most friendly and helpful staff I have seen! Whatever you ask for, they will do teir utmost to fulfill your wishes. Something went wrong with our airport pick-up but the manager really made up for it. Very much appreciated, thank you so much, Ahmed They helped to arrange all our trips which I could very much recommend. A guest is in very good hands here and cared for! The location is wonderful, directly situated at the river Nile. Many places to sit outside in sun or shade. A place to relax and enjoy

My favorite stay in Egypt and one of my favorite stays ever. Perfect location right where the boats come in. Property is beautiful. Such a lovely staff. Excellent food with nice river views. Had an adorable room with a cozy bed and a balcony overlooking the Nile River so I slept like a baby. They offer tours, help with boat bookings, and even have a spa so I didn’t have to go far for a massage. Perfect place to relax and chill, which is all I wanted to do. When I wanted to venture into the village and explore Nubian life, I didn’t have to go more than a few steps outside of the hotel.

The WiFi didn’t quite reach to my room.

We loved our stay at this hotel. Really relaxing, staff friendly and food amazing. In fact this was one of our favourite meals while in Egypt. You can just total up a bill when there and pay at the end. You can also organise trips via the hotel. We paid $40 for airport pick up and a trip to Philae which included a private boat. Would recommend the room we stayed in as we had 2 terraces. Could sit out the front in the main part of the hotel. Or look out over the back of the hotel.

The windows doors didn’t close perfectly which meant there wasn’t a great seal to keep the room a comfortable temperature. It was really hot in the room without air con, but too chilly with the air con constantly on Also not many work surfaces to put your possessions on. But these are my only grumbles and we loved our stay despite this.

This place is a gem. It's located in the heart of the Nubian Village, a short boat, car, or motorcycle ride from Downtown Aswan. The hotel buildings are beautiful, the rooms are spacious, the food and drinks are excellent, and the staff is fantatic. Everybody is absolutely lovely. It's the perfect place to stay with kids. Ahmed Gamal, the concierge, is an exceptional professional. He made our experience smooth from booking to checkout: he arranged our pick up from the train station, boat and car rides, and taylored everything according to our needs. He also arranged our transport from Aswan to Luxor and surprised my son by getting us exactly the type of van he loves to takes there! Ahmed knows his trade, as I overheard other guest saying, and I second that!

There's absolutely nothing we didn't like about Kato Waidi. We loved everything!

We arrived by boat as we had been taken by taxi to the busy streets of Aswan and it was quicker than driving from the river in town. A lovely way to get there. Our rooms were pleasant inside with painted walls and a balcony. We seemed like the only guests so it was very quiet. Beautiful calm mornings watching the river and the boats. We had a large breakfast with omelette, cheese, bread, beans etc and we could choose trips from our hotel to lots of destinations. The rooms and hotel are a little jaded and perhaps somewhat dusty and the odd ashtray might be left. The shower water didn't go down and it's in the bathroom right next to the toilet but no problem. Staff are helpful and if you want to shop there are streets of stalls in the nearby village.

All was fine for us but if you want up market this isn't for you. It's beds are not the most comfy and don't expect TV or hairdryer but just enjoy the quiet and the views.

Kato Waidi Nubian House is beutiful and it is in the middle of the Nubian Village so you can walk around the market as soon as you go out the door. The restaurant is just in front of the Nile River, here you can have the included breakfast and any other meal which are really tasty and value for money. The staff was really nice, friendly and helpful. They took us to Philae Temple by private taxi and boat, waited for us around an hour and then take us around the Nile River and High Damp for more pictures. They took us back to the hotel without any problems. I think this was around 1200 EGP for 2 people. Really great option so I wouldn't bother booking Philate Temple online. The room is cute, clean and with an aircondition which was unexpected. They upgraded us for free so we could be facing the Nile river, this was an unexpected gift! We had arrange with them a taxi from the hotel to train station which we had to cancel and they didn't give us any problems, they still were smiling and were very understanding. Breakfast is included, they have a range of time when it's served but they prepared us some bags for our trip to Abu Simbel. We couldn't have asked for a more friendly welcome

The view of the river from the restaurant is spectacular. The brightly painted rooms and courtyards are gorgeous. The staff are friendly and accommodating ( Very fast and affordable laundry service). They have a massage room on the property and my niece and I had superb massages. Shady trained in Italy and is marvelous.

It is located in the heart of the Nubian Village (not the one on Elephantine Island) and is away from downtown Aswan on a dirt road. Getting there was quite difficult due to camels, vendors and tourists on a very narrow road.
