* location. It’s less than 5 to 10 minutes of walking away from two bus stops. It is also located near some coffee shops and bars. The best bahn mi we tried is SG is right across the hotel. * staff. Staff members are friendly and accommodating. They were always smiling and even provided water every day. * cleaning. They clean the rooms on a daily basis. * price. It’s worth the price. It’s not a 5-star hotel, but considering the prices of hotels in SG, it’s definitely worth every penny. Will definitely choose to book here when we return to SG. :)

Location was perfect - walkable local area. I stayed for a 2 night stopover before journeying off to another country. The room was simple & sufficient for the price, it was all I needed - it’s not a 5 start hotel so keep your expectations low. I felt comfortable & safe. The staff was helpful & friendly (the lady at night & the man in the mornings - didn’t get their names, I’m sorry) - offering water bottles (although I try not to use single use plastic often) & were able to print out travel documents for me which I’m very grateful for!! Room cleaning was not needed in between 2 days, but the gentleman doing the housekeeping did a lovely job!

It was cheap and basic, but clean and easily accessible via bus. The area is nice, feels a lot like inner Melbourne. It seems like its right on the border of a "seedy" area and a more up-market area. So there are bars open at night and cafes in the morning, with pet grooming through the day! Lots of hipsters walking poodles! It was advertised as having no window but I found that my room had a window (shuttered on the button half) behind a very large curtain, so that was a nice surprise, natural light. I guess they hid it so that they can sell all of the rooms at the same rate? If other Hotel 81 locations are kept the same way then it'd be pretty hard to go wrong

- housekeeping was amazing. Always refreshed our water, linens and toiletries, swept our floors arranged our things for 7 days. - staff friendly and helpful. They let 3 adults stay in a 2 pax room. Gave clear suggestions and instructions of where to go. We didn't have enough money for the whole stay in the beginning but saved our rooms and let us pay little by little. They even upgraded us when they saw we had teenagers.

Toilet did not have a bidet.

Hotel was far by walk from the nearest MRT station, however public bus is available and station is few walks from the premises. Hotel was clean and neat, smells good too. Staffs are accommodating.

Though we had the GF room (near the reception) Wifi is slow and connection is bad. Need to stand next to the month door to get the connection :(

Location was excellent, right in the middle of Joo Chiat Road, the room is clean, and surprisingly came with a bathtub. another advantage is that it sleeps 3 adults, which usually cost more elsewhere.

The fridge was dripping water. also there's a weird machine noise ramping up and down the whole night. but minor complaints.

The price is affordable and the employees are great and friendly.

The bathroom is too small and the way it was design. The bed has small bugs to it or on the wall. We don't know what it is. Eventhough they change your bedding everyday. I think it just need to do the bugs spray the rooms

the accessibility to bus stations and the hotel provides amenities everyday and changes the towels everyday too, the staff were so friendly also

when we entered the room, it was kinda dirty.. there was hair on the bed and the TV and kettle was so dusty..

We have stayed at Hotel 81 Sakura 3 times now. We like that it is a very clean place on a good street with nearby food and transportation options.

Rooms are small, but very good value.
