Young and very humble, and hard working staff

The management policy that a guest cannot be able to bring in food from outside. What if the guest has a medical condition (such as diabetes) that requires special diet? What about respecting individual choices- what if someone wants to get pizza? The hotel doesn’t have this on its menu. I presume that this is a simple issue for the hotel to rectify.

The Spa, and the super friendly staff

Repetitive music in the lobby is a little loud. Its like being in an airport lounge. And the breakfast is seriously overpriced, especially by Ethiopian standards. Other than that, the hotel is amazing and the price for the room is quite reasonable for the quality.

For ethiopian level it's an ok hotel after all. It's not a 5 stars but they try to be at least 4,5. Good room, mediocre amenities, not bad but not 5 stars breakfast, acceptable dinner a la carte. People try to help you. Complimentary transfer to and from airport is a big advantage. Price is acceptable. Most chain 5 stars hotels in Addis Ababa cost much more.

Stupid search everytime at the entrancce. You have to register food (!) and they don't allow you to bring any alcohol. Service level is below 5 stars.

Very elegantly furnished. Kind and helpful staff. Restaurant and gym open 24 hours. Very good internet connection. Will definitely come back next time.

The room was a bit basic, with just a small wardrobe and no other storing space (a bigger table would help). Few power plugs, and inconveniently placed (a couple of multiplugs would solve). No hairdryer, and no air conditioning nor any way to let the bath towels dry after shower. Anyway it’s all small flaws that can be easily overcome.

The staff was very friendly and willing to go an extra mile to assist me. I mean Madam Lena and team even bought me body scrubbing gloves since I forgot my loofah 😅...and she even walked me around the neighborhood,sharing good stories with me. I also got a chance to enjoy the steam sauna. I didn't mind their food- they understood when I asked for spicy👌🏾💕🌶️ Room Service was good 💯

My room was not carpeted or air-conditioned as I had thought but they compensated with a heater and an extra blanket...

The hotel is centrally located quite close to the UNECA where I had my meeting. Even though I had booked a courtesy car they sent one to pick me from the airport. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. The restaurant serves superb dishes- the Ethiopian ones were particularly good- all generous portions and reasonably priced.

My room was dark and had a very small window. I should have paid a bit more for a better too with a balcony

The grand palace hotel was very nice! Great interior design and decorations, lovely ambience in the foyer. The staff from the security personnel, to the reception staff, to the kitchen staff were all very friendly and welcoming. They went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. The location isn’t the most central, but the cab/Uber prices to nearby places is really cheap. There is a shuttle pick up and drop off from the airport to the hotel, and also they have connections to local drivers that guarantee safe journeys. You can change money inside of the hotel at standard rates as well. They also got an in-house hair salon and also a very good massage therapist is that’s your thing.

The wall sockets in the rooms are sparse and a part of our room didn’t have any spot lights which made that section of a very big room poorly lit at night.

The staff was very kind , caring and attentive. Quick to respond and cater for any requests. The premises was nice and the bed extremely comfortable. The rooms spacious and water hot. The hotel provided toothpaste and toothbrush. The neighborhood is quiet and close to the business center and walking distance to a lot of shops and restaurants. I was wonderfully surprised. I absolutely recommend the hotel to any traveller coming for business or tourism

Kettles in the rooms for the client to make tea would be the icing on the cake.

It's a very pretty and calm hotel. The staff were very friendly and the rooms were a good size. The showers were hot and the breakfast good enough. We had a great stay and would return again.

We were happy with everything. A bar, as some people already mentioned, might be a nice addition but it was very calm and classy as it is.

The hotel is very affordable for central Addis Ababa, they have a gym and the breakfast spread is very nice. Found the room quiet and bed comfortable, this is a good three-star hotel.

Booking.com has them as a five star which should not be the case, service was slow at times and not everything in the room was functioning properly. As long as you go in with three star expectations you will be satisfied. Also note that most of my Ride drivers were unfamiliar with the hotel location.
