Excellent buffet breakfast Very comfortable beds.

Dreadful entry into the hotel. As an elderly guest I struggled with my suitcase as there is NO ramp to wheel the case inside and I had to carry it up the entry steps. There is also NO bellboy to assist with luggage.

A fantastic hotel, no doubt on that. Located "inside" Helsinki's main train station (it used to be part of it) it is very accessible and easily reachable. The inside of the hotel is epic, filled with spectacular elegant corridors that makes you want to investigate every corner. The room is comfortable and elegant, with a minibar and a TV. The breakfast is astonishing, filled with plenty of warm and cold options for absolutely everyone's taste. Juices, fruits, eggs, bread, coffee, smoothies, musli, etc, it has everything. I didn't use the Sauna nor visited the bar to give an honest review about it.

The breakfast buffet and Christmas Eve buffet were next level. I would have booked Scandic for all of our stays, but had no idea about how amazing the breakfasts or buffets were. The sauna, relaxation areas and gym was also spectacular. I am not sure why saunas and relaxation spaces aren't all day? The front desk staff were knowledgeable and very helpful, keeping our luggage with no problem. The location could not be easier to get to/from the airport as well as all the neighborhoods, even though Helsinki is incredibly walkable.

More games for playing in the lobby would be preferable, longer sauna / relaxation area hours, and potentially a kids 'activity kit' upon check in. We booked this hotel because it was good for families, but there wasn't anything special for kids stays.

Excellent location right next to the train station, bus station and tram stops - very handy to get to and from the airport or the tram to the ferry terminal to Tallinn. Excellent breakfast buffet with a wide choice and long opening hours. Nice cocktails and relaxed bar and lounge areas. Reception staff are friendly and very helpful with restaurant suggestions and things to do and see. Cosy room, very comfy bed - I found it very hard to get out of it in the morning!! Kettle available on request. Also a good well equipped gym, open 24 hours. I had a fantastic stay.

There was nothing I didn't like. The only suggestion I can think of for improvement would be to have a coffee machine in the bedrooms.

The hotel is big, and there are plenty of spaces to relax or sit during breakfast hours. The staff was amazing. There's a 24/7 reception that attends to all your needs, and they are kind. Breakfast is great, there are a lot of options to choose from, including warm food. We requested early breakfast when we had tours, and they allowed us. The sauna is available until 10 PM, which is fantastic! The hotel's location is ideal, as it is close to museums, shopping centers, and restaurants. Additionally, public transportation is easily accessible, and the city center is within walking distance.

Nothing really, just the room temperature was a little cold for us.

It's hard to get in with heavy suitcases. There should be a ramp or something in front of the hotel.

Absolute gem in Helsinki! We arrived from the airport on the train and it was a 2 minute walk to the hotel. The staff were so friendly and helpful - even when our son was sick in the middle of the night. The beds were comfortable and the room was large. Towels were soft which is so rare in large hotels. The buffet breakfast in the morning was delicious with lots of options (local cuisine and otherwise) including options for those with food intolerances. They have the option for luggage storage in a locked room which was very convenient since we had a night train and needed somewhere to store our luggage during the day. The location is exceptional. Very close to everything downtown, well within walking distance of all major sites and of course the main train station. I can't recommend this hotel enough even if it's just a short stay.

This hotel is centrally located and walkable distance to many attractions. Beds and pillows are comfortable. Breakfast is plenty, I quite liked it.

This is no budget hotel, so I always expect that there's at least body lotion in the bathroom, same as there is hand soap and body wash/shampoo (I tend to travel with a small sachet of body lotion in case there isn't, which was the case in this big hotel) I expect water in the room, doesn't have to be a plastic bottle, but at least a refillable glass bottle. Also, there's no tea and coffee facilities in the room, which is common in most non budget hotels.

I love how helpful they are • I also commend the housekeeping team. They make up our room daily, and when we come back tired, we are welcomed with a clean room. • I also commend my fellow Filipino nationals in the housekeeping team, greeting us with beautiful smiles and a warm “kababayan” welcome. Their smiles truly made our day!

Beautiful historic hotel with a taste of luxury. Great location next to the central train station (but without the noise), with the city centre on its doorstep. Great for walking access to everything. Yes, breakfast is superb. So much choice, in fact the buffet bars take up 2 adjoining rooms.

The only thing I missed in this gorgeous hotel was the ability to make a cuppa in my room. If I wanted a tea or coffee, I had to go to reception where they had tea/coffee making facilities and some snacks for purchase. Tea/coffee cost about 3 euros (Dec 2024). So I not only had to get dressed to go down to get an early morning cuppa, but also had to queue up with people checking in to pay for it. Just put a kettle in my room folks.
