The room was good and functional, with a small safe provided for valuables (too small for a tablet or laptop). Staff were very friendly and helpful with any questions. There was a small fridge which made up the minibar, which can be re-purposed if you have something to keep cold.

The temperature regulation was tricky. It tended to be a bit too warm and it was difficult to change the setting so that it had any effect. However it wasn't a big problem. If you are planning to work extensively from the room, make sure to enquire if your room will have a desk. Mine had a small side table only, which was fine for a bit of laptop use, but would not be adequate for a longer working time.

Great location. Easy to get to from Helsinki Airport, straight on the 600 bus door to door, 40 mins. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Hotel is lovely and clean. We had a superior room so it was huge and had everything we needed. Very comfortable. Breakfast included was great, large selection of choices including separate gluten free and vegan options for those that need them. We did Tokoinranta parkrun which is just behind the hotel, less than 2 mins walk and left our bags at the hotel before the run then picked them up before hopping on the bus. Would definitely stay at a Scandic again. Good location to explore the city of foot or by public transport. Close to the Botanical Gardens and easy walk to the Cathedral.

During some rainy February days in Helsinki this was the perfect hotel with its colorful cheerfully designed lobby for my family with 2 kids. We found perfect locations for dinner within walking distance of the hotel. It was only a few stops from the nearby metro and tram station to the center. The breakfast room does not have daylight, but there is plenty on offer, even for health-conscious connoisseurs. Our kids liked the play space. While the week in Finland was quite expensive overall, our stay at this hotel was quite a bargain in comparison.

The gym was a bit small in area, and without windows , with 3 people in at a time it already looked jam-packed

We really liked the atmosphere of the hotel. It has a circus theme, which is quite original. We got an excellent room that was large and fitted 4 people for sleeping with no problem. Breakfast buffet was good with many choices. The staff at the reception were very kind and helpful and explained to us where to take the bus to the airport. I would definitely stay here again!

We were hoping that the gym would have a sauna! This is Finland after all (it didnt)...

Everything was really nice, the receptionists, the room (really big and super comfortable, expecially the bed) and all the services. I really liked the design of the hotel and behind this there is my choice. The position is not exactly in the city centre, but really close to it, just 10 minutes walk. Good ratio quality/price. I would really suggest this venue!

Something that did not excite us was the breakfast buffet, rich of things but with standard quality. We were expecting something more. Also, I would check the shower because a bit of water pass from the door even if close.

We loved this hotel! Staff at the reception and the breakfast buffet was really friendly and spoke awesome English. The rooms were tidy and cozy nonetheless a little cool due to the aircon we didn't know how to change the settings of. But I'm sure if we would have asked someone they could have helped us with that. Additionally the location of the hotel is great! It's easy to reach from the airport - just take the bus line 615 and exit at 'Hakaniemi', the hotel will be roughly 100 metres on the right hand side. If you want to walk to the inner city, it will take you roughly 20 minutes to senate place for example.

No negative remarks - really!

The included breakfast was very tasty! The location of the hotel is superb for exploring Helsinki, while still being quiet. There is an excellent falafel spot right next door (Fafa's) that I highly recommend!

The shower was a little funky: we had to use towels to keep water from flooding the floor, but everything else was so great that we didn't both complaining about it to hotel staff.

Excellent staff, very helpful and supportive. Breakfast was very tasty, with local pastry provided :) also very quiet and even hotel was fully booked it did not create any trouble at thr breakfast or during night hours.

Unfortunately, you can't switch off the air-conditioning in the room. There are 2 air-conditioners, one is central, another is room local. It was quite cold in the night. Also, it is forbidden to open the windows, so the aìr in the room is not fresh and if you spend in the room not only night it is not very comfortable to breath

Had basics, good location, pleasant front desk people

It would have been nice to have a small bench in the room to put a suitcase on, a table tall enough to write on somewhere other than the breakfast room (even in lobby), and breakfast room needs an update - its gloomy and tables felt sticky
