Holiday Inn Express London Stansted Airport, an IHG Hotel

Spacious, clean, modern comfortable hotel. Breakfast was lovely with lots of choice from full English, cereals, toast and pastries. There is an airport shuttle bus every 30 mins which costs £4 each from right outside the hotel door. I left my car in the hotel car park whilst on holiday which was slightly more expensive than airport parking but well worth it for the smooth transition.

There was nothing I didn't like.

Due to missing my flight I booked this room late evening to fly out the next day early morning. Upon arrival the staff were soo polite, conversing and sympathetic. The hotel reception, bar, and lounging area layouts was modern, clean and bright. The room was ready, clean and spacious. I liked the fact one has to use the Card-key to operate the lifts to gain access to floors situated. Safety right there from strange wanderers! This hotel was very clean from main entrance outside, throughout the hotel and our situated floor! Well maintained! OMG the staffs! In particular... • Marina / Supervisor - 5🌟 • Anthony / Head Chef - 5🌟 Both were extremely polite while attentive to our needs. They went the Extra mile to make us feel comfortable and smiling throughout this whole 8 hours stay. Even in the morning they continued the politeness. Two other reception staff members were also part of making this stay comfortable but they left before I could get their names. Conversing and polite. Didn't once feel weird as late arrivals with loads of luggages. Buffet breakfast was absolutely tasty with loads to select from. They even offered us the vegan options so we don't leave half full! Amazing throughout! A must and recommended as Only option if rooms are needed in Stansted area! Defo will be my choice!

The staffs were lovely, kind and very helpful. Location was fair as we had our personal car with as aswell. It was a clean hotel and very useful. Theres nothing to complain about. All the staffs were polite and every single personnal had a nice smiley welcoming face. I would love to go back again which we will go back soon again. Thank you for the service Holiday Inn ! XxX

The only downside was there were no balcony as we are 2 smoking couples and the rooms we were not allowed to smoke which is still understandable. I dont know if there were any rooms that you are allowed to smoke. We had to go out to smoke. Which is fair. No big deal.

Perfect location, served by an incredibly convenient and punctual shuttle bus to/from airport. Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. We did not even know that breakfast was included and staff went out of their way to help myself and the children get something to take with us for the trip. Really lovely.

The sofa bed for one of the children was very uncomfortable. It really needs an upgrade. However, there is a very interesting feedback system in the hotel and we could have asked for a different room. We were just too exhausted to do that.

Very handy if you need somewhere to stay right beside the airport. Very quick check in, there is a nice bar and restaurant and the rooms are clean. The staff is nice and efficient. Shuttle bus to and from the airport

You have to pay to use the shuttle bus, that should be free for the hotel guests.

Ease of check in, friendliness of staff, who all had a real can do attitude. The hotel was well laid out and the front seating area very useful when waiting for transport. Great Wifi all over the hotel. The room was spotless and well stocked with coffee and tea etc. Room was spacious and they even offered a multi hard/ soft mattress in the room which was great. The included breakfast had everything you would want and was excellent. This hotel is brilliant, particularly when passing through via the airport as I actually walked to Stansted airport from the hotel even though there is a bus shuttle for 4 pound every half hour or so if required.

Difficult question as there was nothing I didn't like. Some hotels with this brand can be a little tired, but this hotel was exceptional for the money in my opinion.

My husband and I, and our two children stayed for one night in a family room. The location was perfect just a few minutes from the airport. The shuttle to and from the airport ran every half an hour always on time. Our room and common areas were spotless. Comfortable beds and pillows. Great shower. The room even had an iron and ironing board. Most staff was nice and polite. Breakfast was fantastic. Great continental with a wide variety of fruit, cereal, bread, cakes, juice, and hot drinks, and also full English. We also had dinner at the restaurant and the food was top quality. Will definitely stay again.

At the hotel everything was perfect. Shuttle to and from the airport is a bit pricey considering it is such a short distance.

Comfortable bed and decent showers

My room came with breakfast but my flight was early in the morning. I was offered breakfast by the team around 5pm the day before. Even with hours in advance my breakfast wasn’t a simple sandwich. It was two pieces of fruit and 4mini muffins. This is not breakfast. I called in advance to request a decent hot breakfast and was reassured it wouldn’t be a problem. It is not healthy nor acceptable. The picture I have attached is the breakfast. Full of sugar and no nutrients what so ever. Considering I paid for breakfast I did not get my money’s worth. The company should not offer this service if this is what we get.

The only reason we checked into this hotel was that we missed the last flight of the day and had no choice but to stay somewhere near the airport in the hope of catching another flight in the morning. Initially, I was trying to book the Radisson Blu, which is closer to the airport, but it was booked out before I could finish my booking. In general, the place is nice and welcoming, but I can't imagine any reason why anyone would want to stay at this remote location other than being close to the airport. And being close to the airport only makes sense to me when you miss a flight and need to stay overnight near the airport. Apart from the location, the place is great, at least for one night.

If anyone wanted to stay at the rim in which we stayed for more than one night, they would probably need a fridge or something like that. Also, the location isn't ideal unless for the time when you miss your late night flight at the Stansted Airport.

Well I have to say the place is very well located and as for the staff they are very nice and know how to look after the patrons very well I had a tiny issue with my room number 437 and as soon as I said it the person on reception dealt with it staright offering me a new room and I said no it's fine I not really that pushed about it and said would send maintenance to have a look well I came back later that night and it was all sorted the feeder bus is great so handy for airport and also train to London would recommend 100% to anyone and breakfast was perfect plenty of everything
