The staff was wonderful = helped with everything, made sure we had everything we needed and were very proactive. Every one of them was top-notch. If we had an issue, they handled it in a positive fashion and everything worked out quite well. It's also well located near restaurants, transportation etc.

Honestly, I was so impressed with the friendliness and resourcefulness of the staff that I have nothing to complain about. I guess the only possible issue for some is there access in the front door is with some steps. There is an elevator inside and it works well but not sure how non-ambulatory persons would handle getting in. But I also didn't ask.

The room was well-appointed, spacious and quiet. Overall, this old but remodelled hotel has been given a tasteful yet quirky ambience. The bathroom worked well, and the mattresses were a good compromise between my desire for fairly hard and my wife's desire for fairly soft! We only tried the express breakfast, but it was more than sufficient for our needs, and the staff were especially helpful. Lastly, the hotel is located at a nexus of Metro and Tram services, so travel to other parts of Lyon (notably Vielle Lyon) is easy, rapid and cheap.

Building work opposite could have been problematic had our room faced the road.

it was very difficult to find the hotel after parking our car in the nearby car park. There are many exits from the car park, which is on several levels. We called the hotel and they told us that all we had to do was follow the pedestrian path signs, however there are many of those, which go in different directions. It took us half an hour to find the hotel rom the car park, it should have been five minutes. I have travelled to many hotels in different countries, and what they always do is to provide clear instructions, and a map, to show you how th find the hotel after parking your car.

The size of the room and how helpful the staff at front desk were with restaurant reservations and handling my luggage. There’s a major construction across the road but my French doors were so sound proof you’d hardly notice.

The bathroom is small for a junior suite, and there is only two channels in English: bbc and aljezeera news. A Nespresso machine in the room would have been great. Oh and because the lobby drop off is not visible from the front desk and there are quite a few steps up to the lobby from the main road- if you have heavy luggage - you’d need to get the staff to come help. Which they happily do.

Staff are superb. Proud of their hotel and so they should be. Absolutely commitment to customer service and ensuring you are well looked after. Makes the UK look very poor by comparison. Breakfast fantastic; great range to cater for all tastes. Great location. This is not a 5* deluxe hotel, but it serves its purpose for two nights - and many swankier hotels could learn a lot from the people who run it. Thank you.

In truth I don't think the hotel could do more. It is what it is, and within the limitations of what it is, it delivers in spades. As always, it is down to the people who lead. Really lovely.

Spacious and comfortable rooms, tastefully decorated. Bright and modern bathroom with good shower. Lovely old building with interesting and tasteful decor, all immaculately put together. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Good location close to shopping district and about a 20 min walk from the old town.

Breakfast looked quite nice but as we don’t really need/want a big breakfast we didn’t try it as it was EUR 17 which we felt was quite steep. Instead went to a local bakery and had fabulous croissants and coffee there.

The hotel is recently renovated and it looks and feels modern and nice .. the family room accommodates 4 people easily and its very nice.. The staff were extremely kind, and helpful they guided us through the main areas of the city and on how to reach the most convenient way to reach the airport.. the management was also very kind they offered us a complementary breakfast.. I strongly recommend this hotel to families and will stay here again if i ever visit Lyon in future.

It is just 4 minutes away from the bus/Tran & Metro station, but if you don’t get the exit right; you will end-up walking for more than 15 minutes to reach the hotel. Also, the hotel sign was not visible until you reached and look at it from the front side

Proximity to transit options, restaurants, and shopping. As well as a 20 minute walk to the quaint old town and its unique features. But just far enough away from the noise of the busy shopping/tourist area. The hotel also offered a diverse and satisfying breakfast, but….

… the breakfast was at a fixed cost and at least for us was maybe a tad pricey. I just didn’t feel like I ate that much. But I could have gotten more than my moneys worth, .

Modern, minimalist, hassle free hotel with added bonus of a bedroom to accommodate a family of 4 with proper beds and not the usual.uncomfortable sofa bed. Our kids loved the bunks as super comfy. En suite shower room were clean, fresh & ample in size. Location was really handy for the train station and about 15 minutes from the main Bellecour Square. We stayed in 5 different hotels across France during our holiday and this was joint 1st place - we loved the contemporary feel, friendly staff, funny artworks, location & although we didn't take a breakfast it looked delicious & was good value compared to others. The surrounding neighbourhood has some amazing places to eat. Lyon is a fabulous city and the hotel is ideally placed for exploring & enjoying a restful night's sleep.

I still miss the breakfast at this lovely hotel. Freshly baked breads, good variety of breakfast items and wonderful coffee. The couple that own this hotel are so nice and have taken great care in designing and decorating this property. Wonderful funky art throughout the hotel public spaces. We loved looking at the unusual items. If you are going to Lyon, we highly recommend a stay here.
