We need to leave the key every time we go out. When we return to take the keys, the staff did not check if we were really living in that room, we only need to say our room number. Anyone could have taken the keys and entered the room

Great location, clean room, and very friendly staff. Needless to say, the room and facility were clean and comfortable. Furthermore, every staff member we met was so friendly. Two men can speak fluent English and that helped our communication well as I know only a little bit french. I'll definitely visit this hotel again when I come to Lyon again. Also, one man seems to be a fan of Japanese anime and studies some Japanese. We especially enjoyed talking with him as we ourselves are from Japan. The only thing I regret is that I didn't exchange our Instagram account.

The room was simple but adequate and clean, but convenient and not far from the station. A short walk to the banks of the Rhone was a lovely morning walk. The breakfast was fine, we wanted to eat light before a day of travel and it was more than enough. From check in to check out the staff were really friendly

Bit tired looking in the bedroom but amenities were what we needed. Only thing of mention is our room was around and internal courtyard area and when smokers congregated there we could smell it in our room. Even though open to the sky it took a little time to clear.

It was my first time in Lyon, and I couldn’t have chosen a better hotel! The best of all is the staff, they are very friendly and attentive. The hotel is small but very cozy, you feel at home. I highly recommend including breakfast, as they offer a variety of very good, freshly made local products. The location of the hotel is fantastic; it is less than 10 minutes walk from the train and metro station Perrache and 30 minutes walk from the center of Lyon. It is also close to lively restaurants and bars. Hautement recommandé!

Perfect location with all members of the staff team friendly and helpful. The hotel delivered more than we were expecting from some of the reviews many of which were historic before the hotel went through a refurbishment with we would assume , a new management team. 24 hour reception was also very good with identity checks in place when returning late before handing over room key.

We enjoyed our stay at Lyo hotel. The hotel is in a very good location to explore Lyon, the room we stayed was simple, very clean and modern. The staff at Lyo hotel were friendly. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

There was no duvet on the bed and I was a bit cold at night. The free Wi-Fi was slow in our room.

Staff were very friendly and accommodating- in particular we were very grateful for an earlier check in after we had taken an overnight bus. The room was clean and comfortable with a good sized bathroom. Aircon worked perfectly. Lyon is very large so it is difficult to pinpoint the best location but it was well located to Place Bellacour and still within walking distance of the old town. There is also a supermarket a couple of minutes away on the same street. Would definitely recommend a stay here.

Very central and convenient location to reach all points of interest in the city with the metro just a few meters away and in a quiet area. Nice room too, with the hot tub which was really great after walking all day. Staff always available. Excellent quality/price ratio.

The room was a little cramped and the stairs a little uncomfortable, but nothing major.

It was a perfect stay. The location is really great (Right on the street you have a supermarket and a lot of restaurants where you can try Lyon's great food.). We really enjoyed the stay and the staff was awesome and helpful to accomodate us. If you plan to visit Lyon Hotel de la Marne is your place to stay.

-It's a bit noisy on the evenings. A lot of people gather on the bench in front of the hotel to smoke and party until late at night.

Clean, comfortable room. Air conditioning worked well. Shower pressure was decent. Kettle supplied but no minifridge. We had to leave the keys at the reception every day but that worked for us - less worry about losing it!

There were no mugs supplied for tea / coffee. Instead, there were paper cups. This made it difficult when making cups of tea. Some ceramic mugs would've been useful.
