I stayed at HB for my birthday weekend. I had very specific requirements (all of which I sent to the hotel well in advance). 2 of my requests were re my allergies to dust and that I am very Covid cautious. The HB team upgraded my room on arrival so I had a big balcony room with 2 large windows that I could open to let air flow through, and the room was 100% dust free and very clean. I know that as I didn't sneeze once the whole time I was in that room. The location is excellent and vibrant and very cultured then you have a nice walk in to Les Marais. I felt completely safe returning to the hotel late in the evening. There are lots of hair extension shops nearby and they'll try to get you to come in to get your hair and nails done - just say non merci, they're harmless!

They did not have blankets and I don't like quilts, but the hotel gave me 3 thick sheets which did the job nicely. Rooms that face the main road (like mine) meant that the noisy road might wake folk up, however I always wear earplugs so it only bothered me a little. Apparently the air con wasn't on the winter setting yet (I stayed in May) so was blowing out warm air still, I didn't experience it as I don't like air con so didn't try to use it.

The staff is very kind, helpful and caring. The breakfast has everything you need and the rooms are nice and comfortable. It is my second stay and I would definitely come back if im in Paris again.

We had the double room with a staircase and it could get a bit cold. But luckily there was an electric heater we could use once in a while. There could be better light and lamps as the room could get quite dark which also made the last step of the stares look like the floor. The last step on the stairs could maybe be painted in a different color or with a white frame. my mom unfortunately overlooked the last step and fell.

You feel like you are in an authentic part of Paris, among real people here. The room was cozy and the beds were comfortable.

We walked there from the Gare du Nord train station. That was kind of scary. We later found out it is kind of a bad area. But we didn't run into any trouble. The first night, some people were doing noisy construction work in an apartment nearby with the window open. Noise until midnight. We had to open our windows due to the heat. So there was no avoiding it.

Location is great - lots close via metro. Rooms are very clean though small. Staff were welcoming and helpful. The road behind (Rue De Fauberg Saint-Denis) is filled with cafes, bakeries, groceries etc. Dining and takeaway - recommend Bouilon Julienne for authentic dining experience - 3 minute walk away.

Rooms are compact, the shower was tiny. I am 6'2" and it was really tight. However, the rooms were exceptionally cleaned and well maintained. We just needed beds for the night (6 nights) and were happy. A guest laundry would have been appreciated.

Wonderful stay in the heart of Paris. Perfect location - just 30-min walking distance from all major tourist attractions. The staff was very pleasant and helpful, and the room was comfortable to accommodate 2 people. Additional thanks for breakfast - it was delicious.

No wardrobe to fit full-length clothes. If you carry maxi dresses, skirts, or coats - be ready that you will need to roll them up. No mini-fridge in the room. Soundproofing could also have been better, fortunately, we had very quiet neighbors.

The staff was very friendly, all of them. Room was clean and fresh.

The area was quite restless, especially from Gare du Nord side. Room was extremely small for two people, especially the shower.

The hotel is clean and well located in terms of commute. Staff was helpful and friendly. It is also more affordable than similar standard hotels in Paris.

Although it is well located to move around in Paris, the surroundings seem a bit run down and slightly dodgy. I didn't feel safe walking around at night, but I didn't have any bad experience; this comment is based solely on my own perception.

We had the top floor room which had a balcony and fine views. The room was spacious for our needs and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. The aircon worked well.

The bathroom was clean and presentable but a little tired. The shower hose/attachment had a leak so needed replacing. We reported this but it wasn't fixed by the time we checked out. A couple more hooks would have been useful. A note of caution - if booking the biggest room (double plus sofa bed) it's on its own floor (7th) and the lift only goes to the 5th floor so there are two flights of stairs you'll need to climb. Not an issue for us but could be for those who have mobility issues.

The staff was very friendly and nice. The breakfast was also very good

The street was little bit scary at first, lot of people, but we get used to it after two days and it was okay. We also came late to hotel like at midnight and the street was empty and nothing happened.

The room was nice, had an attic and nice decoration. It was clean as well. The location was really convenient with metro stops and train stations nearby.

When I firstly got in the room was quite cold, different temperature between the attic part and the below part of the room where the bathroom was also located. We were three people and we didn’t have towels for all, but the personnel was more than happy to help.
