Good location in the heart of former West-Berlin. Only a few minutes walking to the U-Bahn, the S-Bahn, the Berlin Zoo and the Gedächtniskirche. Many restaurants close by. Easy parking on the hotels inner court or at the Q-Park garage around the corner (Fürst). Spacious rooms. Great beds. Very good shower. Good breakfast buffet. Nice personnel. The hotel rents out good bicycles for only 16 euros per day (no E-bikes).

Beware, this is the center of the former West-Berlin. Most tourist attractions are not in this part of town, but in and around the center of the former East-Berlin. That's not a problem if you don't mind taking a 6 minutes walk to the S-Bahn station Savignyplatz and a connecting 10 minutes ride to the S-Bahn station Berlin Friedrichstraße. The trains run every three minutes. Tip: If you want a scenic tourist route, take Bus 100 from Bahnhof Zoologischer Garten to Alexanderplatz. Supertip: in the months of july and august you can use all means of public transport for only 9 euros. The ticket is valid for one month (either july of august). The property is in a key location for shopping and sightseeing, with lots of bars and restaurants within walking distance and a lovely Spanish Tapas Restaurant right next door. We received a free upgrade after already getting a bargain on our room and we were so impressed! Full living area with 2 separate bathrooms, complimentary toiletries, tea coffee and water and the rooms were spot cleaned everyday providing clean towels etc. The staff were so kind and helpful when we were making enquiries or asking for directions. The Director Alex was exceptionally helpful!! We can’t thank the hotel staff enough for making our stay so nice and welcoming. We will definitely be back!!

The only thing that would have made this stay even better would be the use of a fridge in the room.

In reception one employee did not speak ENG an the other one could not comment on the nearby Berlin Bears inhalation if stil present. He sad it is but it Was not.

A very charming, clean and well-run hotel. The area is quiet and yet close to the central city (KaDeWe, Zoo, Aquarium etc.). We walked to most of the places we wanted to see. We were warned that there might be noisy because of construction work in the area but didn't hear anything all. The breakfast was awesome, great variety and good quality.

The internet was highly unstable on the 6th floor where we stayed.

Everything was good for the money paid Breakfasts were tasty and with rich choice.The stuff-polite and helpful.

What seemed a bit strange is the upgrading of the room for the twice bigger accomodation which was not asked for and had several entrances from different corridors making the guest feeling insecure.However the room was immediately changed at my request for the smaller cosy room corresponding to my initial request.

What a great stay! The hotel upgraded us into the Suite - thank you so very much, you made our stay extra special! The hotel staff was really friendly and the rooms are spotless clean and the bed was really comfy. The hotel is very good located on the Kurfürstendamm with lots of possibilities to shop and eat out nearby, so really are worth a stay if you are looking for a central hotel in Berlin.

Excellent location, very good heating system (extremely important for a Berlin winter), wonderful and big room, extremely clen, great WiFi... Staff was very friendly and helpful! Highly recommended hotel!

The Best Western Online System has some problem with the internet check in, so until they resolve this problem, just check in at the reception. This is, by no means, a problem or a complaint for the hotel, just a suggestion. Again, highly recommended hotel!

Good location on busy Ku-Damm, in the middle of the "action". Room was very clean. A block away from public transport (U Bahn), walking distance to S-Bahn and bus close by. Checkin fairly efficient and quick (maybe missing a smile). Sound proof windows ensured a good night's rest, but building site next door which can get noisy during the day. Rewe supermarket around the corner, open till midnight, in case of any needs. Wifi was reliable and of reasonable speed.

No bar fridge, no cleaning / room service during our 2 day stay (despite spending much of the 2 days away, which is just not good enough.

Good location; decent room with a decent size; high price/performance ratio; reception acting responsively for and accomodating requests such as early check-in and luggage safekeeping; there is a hairdrier, TV, safe and kettle in the room.

The hotel has some minor issues with some of the usual amenities (e.g. you have to request slippers from the reception in case you need one in the room) and services (e.g. late cleaning of the rooms due to busy schedule of cleaners, under the bed was also very dusty). A fridge in the room would be good (although it is not listed anyway among the facilities); one-way escalator used for going up may be an issue in busy hours

Check-in was quick and easy. We arrived late and they had the room type we requested. The room and beds were comfortable and clean. The room faced the street, but was still quiet - even for me and I am sensitive to noise. Easy access to public transportation.

Breakfast was expensive at 17 Euro. We skipped it. It was hot in Berlin during our stay and the air conditioner never really cooled our room down. Wouldn't add this reservation to our Best Western account because we booked it through Booking.com.
