This stay definitely met my expectations. It's a smaller room, but I believe it has all it needs-- everything was spread out in the room effectively: big enough bathroom with bathtub + shower, a neat lounge area just between the bed and the bathroom, space to put coats by the door, the bed was big and comfortable, the desk area next to bed was enough, and it seems like the rooms are soundproof-- I believe the hotel was booked up during my stay, and I didn't hear a thing in any rooms adjacent to me. Furthermore, this hotel's location is unbeatable, right at the center of Berlin; you have one the main transit stations (Hackescher Markt, in which you can hop on the S9 to get directly to the airport) right behind, as well as Alexanderplatz; then, many food options, big shops and the like around it. So many things within walking distance. I also felt very safe staying at the hotel. The staff was always helpful and attentive no matter the time. I'll probably go with them again on my next visit to Berlin.

All in general was great, but the only two things that would have made the stay even better would be: I wish the rooms were a bit brighter, and I wish they had a mini fridge somewhere in the room to keep things cold.

The breakfast was very good. The hotel in general was clean. Especially the dining area and the kitchen were spotless. We stayed during very cold weather and the room was quite cozy. The bathroom and hot water were also perfect.

While the location seems central, it is right next to a major tram stop. The trams make a lot of noise and sound isolation of the windows is not very good. As other guests had stated, the concept of the hotel and the rooms is dark with a lot of black color, and some walls are covered in paper with dirt patterns. It makes the rooms look unclean even when they are not. Our room had a door to the next room. People staying there insistantly forced that door at any hour of the day, sometimes scaring us from our sleep at 2 a.m. The handles of those doors should be removed when not in use. There were two single duvets on the double bed and they were almost child size, with 100 cm width. We are not large people and we had difficulty using them.

The location was amazing, we walked to almost everything we did on our stay! The man that checked us into our room was really friendly and happy which was super welcoming. The best thing of all was how sound proof the room is. Our room was as close to the tram stop as possible but we couldn’t hear a thing!!!

The bed situation wasn’t ideal, I don’t mind separate mattresses but 2 separate bed frames on a slippery floor is a dangerous idea. I fell in between the two and hurt myself on the hard metal frames. I also find it strange to have coffee machines in the room but not refill the coffee pods. We only had 1 coffee a day which is a normal amount and feel for the price of the room it should be refilled daily. Ofcourse I understand that some people may take advantage of this, but I feel that’s unfair for those that just want their morning caffeine. Perhaps just don’t refill the rooms that drink 4 pods daily?

Location is absolutely excellent, very close to sights, shops, transport etc - couldn't be better. The good soundproofing was appreciated! The room was well-designed and the bed very comfortable, with nice toiletries. We didn't bother with breakfast as it was quite expensive, but others seemed to like it. Reception and night staff were very helpful.

We understood that the roof terrace might be closed in May, but expected the bar to be open - it wasn't. The room was stylish and comfy but also very dark - the option of a little more lighting over the desk or mirrors would be useful!

The rooms are clean and presentable, good air con and good bathroom, staff were nice. Rooms now have a kettle and a nespresso machine, you only get coffee pods for your first night though, so take some with you if you are there longer than one night. Plenty of electrical outlets, just difficult to see them in the dark rooms but they are built into the headboard, the TV cabinet and near to the door of the room. As a note, most places surrounding the hotel were cash only - (bars, shops, takeaways etc) if you go out of the hotel and turn right there is a bank with four cash machines inside, we only found this on the last night!

Rooms are very small, but fine if you just intend sleeping there. You wouldn't be able to work at the desk given the darkness of the room.

After staying in various hotels in Mitte, several times in Berlin, I dare to say that it was the best choice so far. Location is amazing just in the corner of Hackhester Markt 3 minutes walk. Although, practically all hotels in the area say Alexander pz ,the fact that you have to go through the plaza all the time is tiring and takes time. This hotel is in the middle of everything without any of the inconvenience above. Small rooms, but clean and quite, reception polite and gave us a room in the 6th floor, ideal for a night sleep , restaurants and bars practically outside of the door

The bar of the hotel was unfortunately closed. Probably it is closed in mid week days, I was there from Tuesday to Wednesday.

Location location location - I have been to Berlin a few times, and have stayed in wonderful hotels in different areas - this is by far the best location I've stayed at. Walking distance from so many amazing gems both known and hidden, great restaurants and shopping all a very short walk away and with trains/trams - it's as central as it gets!

It met or exceeded my expectations and for the high-season (and short notice of my booking!) - value for money was perfect.

The hotel location is GREAT, just in the middle of the city. Getting there is very easy - only one train away from the airport (S9 to Hackescher Markt). It's just 5 minutes walk from the museum island, 10 minutes from Alexander Platz and the station behind it is one stop from .Freidrichstrase station The hotel breakfast is great, very diverse, organized and the dining room itself is a nice place to start the day. The rooms are clean and quiet and the staff is nice and helpful.

The rooms are a bit small and dark (maybe stronger lights would fix the situation), but if you're out of the room most of the day it's not that important.

The location of Hotel Zoe was great. Very close to the train station and a few bars/restaurants cafes that were very traditional and well priced. The hotel decor was modern with comfortable seating in the foyer and lovely Christmas decorations. The staff were welcoming and polite and quickly checked us in on arrival. The room was a good size (opted for a comfort room) with a huge bed but only one pillow each. We requested an additional pillow each which was delivered to the room whilst we were out. There were complimentary toiletries and a hairdryer in the bathroom in addition to a full bath plus shower. The water was instantly hot and the lighting was good in the bathroom. Plenty of plugs and we found the room temp was perfect. The room lighting was a little dark and the only English speaking channel on the tv was sky news but this wasn’t a huge issue. Considering the trams ended outside the hotel we found the street noise to be very quiet and we’re in disturbed by it. My only criticism really was the lack of tea/coffee facilities in the room. We were given just one bottle of water for a 4 night stay. We didn’t try the breakfast but it looked and smelt good - €15 each. We opted for a small cafe round the corner for cheese/salami rolls and coffee!

Definitely the lack of provision of tea/coffee in the room. Only one pillow per person I felt was poor especially when considering the amount of money you are paying to stay.

The hotel is in an excellent location only 1 tram stop (1 minute away) from Alexanderplatz, but this is also easily walkable in about 10 minutes.. The staff were very helpful and polite. The rooms were very modern and clean. Our room had an ipad in which you could do a variety of things like order room service, book breakfast for the next day and have a look at checkout times etc. Breakfast was a little pricey at 15 euro a day, but there was a wide range of hot and cold food to choose from. Along with a variety of hot and cold drinks. There is a rooftop to the hotel, but we visited in December, so we were unable to use it, but it looked great for summer. They also offer a space to keep luggage, and the WiFi in the hotel is very quick and easy to connect to.

The only negative is that the rooms are quite small, but this wasn't a major issue for us.
