Great location for seeing all of Berlin. Close to several U-Bahn stops. Very short walk before you come across either a bar or Café from the hotel. Really nice and helpful friendly staff.

NO AIR-CONDITIONING IN THE ROOMS and in 33*C heat, it's less than ideal. Naturally the hotel had run out of freestanding fans as well because we ALL needed one. Extremely stuffy at night. Wouldn't be an issue in winter of course. The breakfast in a morning is that typical continental breakfast... A lot of nothing that you'd really want. Bit of fruit and the odd croissant, bread that's gone hard and stale and butter that is totally un-spreadable. Always the same going places in Europe though, so I did expect to be devastated with the breakfast selection. As a British person I personally like a proper breakfast i.e. a Full English or certainly something along those lines. Eggs, bacon, sausage, mushrooms, hash browns, tinned tomatoes etc. That sets you up for the day. Not stale bread.

The staff is incredible, super nice and helpful. We were allowed to check in earlier which was AMAZING. due to that my review is going to be glowing because that first shower after a whole night travelling was marvellous. The room was clean and the automatic blinds were a nice touch. just FYI the room won't be cleaned unless you ask for it (which is fine by us, but just to keep that in mind)

The safe was not working, the shower head was turning constantly and the soap dispenser was popping off constantly. The biggest issue which is not the hotel's fault but for others to keep in mind: super loud music from early morning to very late at night from the dancehall by the hotel. It was awful to listen to someone practice Elvis at 2 am in the morning at full sound with pen windows due to the heatwave. The AC also wouldn't turn on, no ice bucket either - all not that big of a deal, but if I am booking a hotel for this price, it is something I pay attention to. It's an older property so, keep that in mind if it's something that would bother you.

The location is really great - near checkpoint Charlie; although the S-Bahn Green line was closed, the nearest U-Bahn Kochstraße station is still easy to reach. Lidl & some minor liquor store with flexible working hours is also at hand. The smoking cabin in the lobby is of a great convenience if you have a non-smoking room.

I booked a room with 2 separate beds, as I was travelling with a friend and expected some basic privacy; in reality the beds were located extremely close to each other and could not be moved without moving other furniture pieces, as the room was too small.

- Location. The hotel is just a short walk away from the heart of the city, but is located in a quiet neighborhood. The S-bahn is very closeby. - Staff. Lovely, smiling and helpful staff! - Parking garage. We appreciated the possibility to park right in the building. - Pet friendliness. We were traveling with a dog and got a lovely "pet welcome package" in our room with bowls and a dog bed. - Tea and coffee in the room. - Cleanliness.

- Bed comfort. The bed had a spring mattress, so it was quite jumpy and not really comfortable. The pillow is quite flat so it would've been nice to have double pillows on the bed. - Bit of an outdated feel overall, but it does not matter much!

The hotel is in a great location - close enough to the train station to walk with bags etc and most of the main sights within walking distance. The hotel is good - feels a bit tired but its comfortable, clean and convenient. Tony at reception was great and very helpful. The breakfast was really good and gave us a great start for the day.

The check in was very brisk and we didn't get information like wifi or breakfast times, location etc despite making sure we were booked in for breakfast. We were tired and keen to get to our room and presumed wifi details would be in the room but it wasn't so had to keep going back to find out information as we needed it. There's potential to be a great hotel.

We liked the location and the accommodating staff. The room was also decently sized and well-equipped for a couple night's stay. We were happy to have a refrigerator in the room.

The lighting for bathroom vanity also hurts the eyes especially if you're sensitive, so better turn on the light a minute before you come in. Wifi was sufficient but could be improved. Some lamps either need the light bulb replaced or need to be fixed - one of them which is used to light the room flickers, turns off by itself, or does not turn on at all - all different scenarios.

Hotel was very close to a metro station, and walkable to many places in the city. Our room overlooked the courtyard and was very quiet and peaceful. Window/door opened all the way, which made coffee in the morning delightful in the sunshine. Spacious room, comfy beds, and well equipped room. A big bath in the bathroom, which could just about fit two of us. Mini fridge to keep our drinks/snacks cold (welcome with the summer heat).

The bath was a good size, but the shower attachment did leak from time to time, and was not as powerful as other showers I've had in hotel rooms. Fully adequate though and did do the job.

The room was spacious and had all the amenities needed for a short Berlin stay. It was clean and was equipped with a TV, multiple outlets next to the bed, a large bathroom, and a fridge. There was also a remote for the lights, which was very handy, as one could turn off all lights while lying in bed. It can also great that there was a breakfast and that throughout the day one could go to the bar and have a drink, or have a free coffee/tea at the machines next to the reception. Also, two terraces work until 10 pm, which is nice to enjoy one's coffee or cigarette. There is an inside smoking area next to the elevators, which is also good if you want to smoke after the terraces are closed. The hotel itself is located in a great place, as there are several restaurants, bars, mini markets, and Lidl nearby. Also, the S-bahn is a 3-minute walk away which is very nice if one prefers to take public transport instead of walking, or needs handy transport to get to the airport or any of the nearby train stations.

The lights in the bathroom were turning on very slowly because they were fluorescent. It might be a good idea if they are changed to LED lights because people with epilepsy might have a hard time. Another thing that was not satisfactory for a 4-star hotel was the TV because it was old and contained only German channels. It might also be good if the TVs are exchanged for smart ones, so guests can watch shows on diverse streaming platforms during their stay. Otherwise, everything else was good.

The hotel is located close to a variety of mass transportation options--a 3-7 minute walk to them all. The neighborhood was safe and we didn't have any problems returning to the hotel. There are not too many restaurants in the immediate area, so we ended up having to eat while headed to or from visiting a tourist location.

Because of covid 19 restrictions still in place, our room was not serviced daily. When we requested more toilet tissue and fresh towels halfway thru our 6 night stay, they were promptly supplied.

OK to decent base for a work trip, very nice and helpful hotel staff and an on demand taxi service that was always prompt and brilliant so it doesn't matter that you're a good 10-15 min from Potsdamer Platz. Rooms are definitely corporate old fashioned side but ok on size. Bed a little soft for me. Nice that there was a complimentary large bottle of water in the fridge as bored of being charged for small bottles. There's a kettle! Happiness for me. Don't go in with high expectations in short, but totally decent choice.

On check in, there was a note in the room saying no housekeeping could be provided due to staff shortages. Hardly vital for a short trip but if you do want it, you have to give them 24 hours' notice - not ideal. Be warned that room service is entirely dependent on restaurant being open so at 22h on Saturday evening, there was nothing available. Plus mini bar devotees note that you have to order everything you want from a menu, there's no stocked bar in the room.
