We arrived by car and the receptionist assisted us with parking in the covered garage. We had reserved a place in advance. Decent size room, with small table/chair, desk, and armoire. Quiet neighborhood, many shops, restaurants, and 20 minute walk from city center. Excellent breakfast, complimentary sparkiling water, tea/coffee service in room.

The bathroom had little counter space for toiletries, small shower but pretty standard for German hotels of this caliber. The beds were two twins put together rather than one large bed. The hotel has an elevator ( also very small ) but unexpected. The interesting detail was that the elevator stops are between floors, so if you have difficulty with stairs that could be problematic.

Everything was perfectly organized up to the reserved parking, water for the windshields ready etc. Breakfast was very good. Location very good, walking distance from the centre and very near the metro and tram. Staff was friendly. Room was clean with good bathroom and minibar. Lows: no balcony and the lift stops at mid floors, which might be a problem for wheelchair users. Other than that it was excellent and also excellent value for money.

Always a friendly welcome, which is so lovely. Any special wishes they will fulfill if it is possible. The lovely personal touch, when on the 6. December two chocolate Santa Clauses stand in front of your door, which makes you smile. Breakfast buffet is absolute stunning and enjoyable Town Centre and Old Town easy to reach. Pempelfort is a lovely place with a great choice of shops and Restaurants

Nothing to complain

The staff was exceptionally friendly. Especially at the breakfast. The breakfast itself was very good. The rooms were nice, simple but sufficient for a short stay. The location was perfect.

The elevator didn't reach exactly the top floor so if your room is up there you'll have to carry your luggage half a floor up. We were traveling light so it was ok.

Comfortable beds, clean, good location, close to tram stop but also possible to walk into centre. Fantastic breakfast. Very nice staff / owner, nice atmosphere. The doors are locked, I think around 9pm, so they give you a key for the outer door. There is a receptionist in the evening but you have to call them..Area is good with bars, cafes, restaurants nearby. "Himmel und Erd" pub/restaurant was recommended and it was good. Also tried the Austrian restaurant "Rubens", about two tram stops away, excellent.

I made two separate reservations with Booking.com and both were confirmed to me. But, Booking.com only made ONE reservation with the hotel. The hotel never received the second reservation which meant we had to share a room instead of having two separate bedrooms. This was NOT the fault of the hotel.

The welcome at the reception. Lovely lady. Beautiful room, comfy bed, such a perfect shower and the Best, the location and nice balcony. Bus stop to airport very close. Breakfast 10 out of 10 👌 opposite the hotel lovely family atmosphere night bar (Cafe Go Go), Italian restaurant for dinner, both so close and with the most friendly staff.. all highly recommended!

It's very convenient to get to the Fair from the hotel. Just take the tram. The house is simple but room is comfortable, equipped with everything of a 4star hotel (safe, coffee maker, ironing board, etc.) The breakfast was awesome. Selection of fresh fruits was incredible: fresh mango, kiwi, pineapple, melon, what is more, raspberry (in January). Excellent cheese spread selection, smoked salmon and homemade jam. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Beds are comfortable. The hotel is quiet. So, we were absolutely satisfied.

We have come to the Hotel National quite a few times and always enjoy our stay. A friendly welcome upon arrival is a lovely experience. It is also very nice to get some tips about the various places to eat in the area. Not to forget to mention the great choice at the breakfast buffet.

As i had very early flight Dusseldorf day before arrival i asked if it was possible to do bit of an earlier check in. The hotel did me this favour and i am very grateful for this. Communication with the reception staff was excellent,ladies were very nice and polite.Room was very clean and comfortable. It is good value for the money.

Wonderful and friendly staff, excellent and very diverse breakfast. Room was clean and well organized. The location is near many restaurants and near the city center.

The WiFi coverage was reasonable, however, not all traffic is allowed. This made connecting to the business WiFi impossible. Also WhatsApp calling was not allowed. Reception mentioned there had been an outage the day before, so maybe the provider did not restore previous settings.
