Everything really. First of all the location: The apartment is right next to the "Michel", the port, the Elphilharmonie and Speicherstadt, Altstadt etc are therefore in walkable distance. But it's also just a few minutes walk from the U3 stations Baumwall and Landungsbrücken so getting around is very easy. There is a Rewe supermarket just next door. The apartment is located in the lively Portugiesenviertel with plenty of café, bar and restaurant options. Second, the apartment itself was very modern and clean. It was a two level apartment with a very well equipped kitchen (fridge, microwave/oven, dishwasher, Nespresso, water boiler, stove), table and couch and a nice terasse with a view on the park and of the "Michel" on the lower floor and the bed bathroom with a very spacious nice shower on the upper floor. The toilet was separate. There was plenty of space and comfort for our family of three and we really enjoyed spending time there. Third, the hotel: The check-in was automatic via a computer screen and one could manage to do everything alone, but there was also a small office with very friendly personal who helped us with all our questions and demands. The house also offered a shared laundry room with 3 washing machines and dryers each and free laundry storage before check-in and after check-out. We would definitely stay here again. So if you like the concept of an apartment hotel, I am sure you will like it here as much as we did.

Great location - near Minatur Wunderland. Short walk from U/S Bahn station. Many restaurants and a bakery near by. Comfortable room.

We planned to arrive out of hours but property had not supplied instructions / bar code to gain access to lobby - had to chase for it. Unfortunately the bar code reader didn’t easily recognise the bar code from my iPhone. We had to call up and it was going to take someone 30 mins to come and let us in. Eventually got the bar code to recognise. Maybe if the property had emailed the code in advance and I had a printed copy it might have worked better. Also annoying having to complete the registration in the terminal in the foyer - surely we could go this in advance to save time?

A lot of space and quite tidy

Just the instructions for check in after hours was not very clear. No way to open to main entrance and garage. Called the number but no one answered. (it was also raining at the time) Thank goodness some guest let me into the lobby then I was able to get the keys for entrance and parking garage. Also, our next dooe neighbor walked like an elephant! At the middle of the night, walked up and down the stairs three times! three times! and sounded like he/she was jumping! It woke everyone up 😡 Nothing to do with the property, just needed to get it out

The apartments are perfect for a longer stay, because they have an excellent kitchenette set up. Very stylish and very functional; a wonderful combination. The beds are comfy. Overall very nice.

To reduce costs they have gone completely digital. You check yourself in at an automatic check-in terminal and when you leave, you check yourself out. There is an office with a person hiding in the back between 8-5 not very interested in dealing with people. Personaly I find that takes a lot away from the luxury of staying in a hotel. What if you're not satisfied with your room? If you need extra shampoo? Nobody to talk to. That savings does not convey to the guest with a room rate of €190 for a double/night. Re parking: Be careful NOT to park in the public garage across the street - Michel Garage. They charge €20 for each started day plus €5 per night. That translates to €45 for a parking stay from 5pm one day to 11 am the next morning! Very confusing labeling of charges. Rip off.

I liked the fact that we could check-in and check-out on our own. Also the room was quite big, and we loved the kitchenette. The hotel is not far from the Jungfernstieg, a nice 20-25 minute walk. Its difficult to find a parking slot, so I recommend to use the garage the have (it’s quite expensive, but the other garages around are way more expensive!).

We stayed for 3 nights and our room has not been cleaned once. It would have been nice if at least vacuuming or mopping had been done. I am not picky but that would habe been the bare minimum. Quite disappointed of that, because all the rest was great!

Nicely designed, well equipped apartment. Very clean, with comfortable bed. Friendly staff, helped extend booking due to airport strike. Good WiFi. Supermarket about two minutes away, but not open Sunday. Lots of good restaurants and bars. Brazilian restaurant was amazing. Very near bus and train links.

The on screen check-in is hopeless. Everyone seemed to have a problem with it. Try and arrive during reception hours. When room was cleaned after three days as expected to clean sheets and towels were not provided.

Excellent location, only a short walk away from stations, right at the edge of Portugiesenviertel with all the cafes, restaurants, a shop, and a park nearby. The apartment is very well equipped, fittings are of high quality, the entire unit is quite pleasant with modern décor throughout. Air conditioning is effective, and the bathroom facilities are excellent. Staff were professional, and very helpful. An excellent experience overall.

Nothing I could find. I wish we could stay longer!

This was a terrific property, really beautiful. Great, comfortable furniture. We thoroughly enjoyed it and Hamburg. I honestly miss it a little. Great location as long as you don't mind taking public transit, a bit of a hike walking but we did that for pleasure once too.

The check in process was insane. Please hire some human beings. It was also just outrageously expensive. We have since spent a week in Gdansk for as much as one night in Hamburg, but to be fair that's not about the property, that's the city.

Interesting concept for a hotel where there is no traditional check-in staff. However, process went smooth, and no problems here. As someone who works remotely, the room was comfortable, and suitable to set up a "work from home section". Although it was a small detail, the bluetooth "amp" speakers and automatic shades was a nice modern touch.

Human interaction is something that goes a long way at hotel stays. Between a brief "hello" from the security staff at the door, I cannot say I encountered a single hotel staff member. Only criticism is that having a greeting staff or someone to warmly welcome you to the hotel might be a nice touch.

The apartment was in a great location within easy walking or public transport to all the main sights. Despite being in a very lively district it is on a quiet street with shops & restaurants on the doorstep. The apartment itself was very spacious, smart & had good facilities with staff on hand if needed. It was also on a direct train taking just 35 minutes to the airport.

We would have liked the essential information to be provided in paper format so it was not always necessary to use the App.
