Room was excellent. Comfortable, very clean and well maintained. Beds where also very comfortable. Staff where lovely. The bar was very nice with also the bonus of some outside seating as the weather was warm. Prices at the bar where reasonable for a 4* hotel

No offer of a continental breakfast. No walk in shower. Room cleaners didn't clean rooms until 4.00pm Wish it was a little earlier. As we where usually back in our room by then resting up after a days sightseeing before getting ready to go out in the evening.

We enjoyed our stay at the Madison. Our room had everything that we needed and we especially appreciated the fully functioning kitchenette, spacious bathroom with good pressure from the shower, and stereo system. Breakfast had ample supply of choices and we enjoyed dinner at the hotel both nights. Staff was exceptional at every interaction.

Parking is pricey (€28/24hr) but worth the cost to park at the hotel.

Everything. All members of staff we encountered were fantastic, friendly and welcoming. The evening meal was top class. 😋 As was the wine recommendation. The room was big with everything you'd need. It's those extras that make a real difference like deodorant, face cloths, shampoo, body lotion etc that comes out of the bottle properly and smells lovely, a selection of teas, a proper coffee machine and lots of snacks and well stocked mini bar at good prices. I'd not hesitate to go again and would make this my first choice when I'm Hamburg again.

Absolutely nothing, after the awful day of travelling, the Madison Hotel experience made us serene and stress free.

The hotel is in an excellent location between old town and new town, many places can easily be visited on foot, while you will also have multiple options in terms of public transport just in a few minutes of walking distance. The hotel staff is more than helpful with anything you need, and always with a genuinely smiling face. The breakfast has more than enough options dor every taste, in addition you can order omlets of different kinds on demand. The breakfast area is actually a cozy restaurant which is also an option to have dinner in case you are tired of sightseeing all day. The rooms are large and comfortable, and has enough kitchen supplies if you ever decide to cook your own food. One of the best hotels I stayed until today!

Maybe only a more recent-technology air-condition system could fit better in such a nice hotel but again I did not have any major problems with the existing one.

All staff were excellent: those looking after housekeeping, the restaurant, the front desk - everybody was very helpful. There is a locked bicycle storage room which was easily accessible for us. The location was wonderful - right in the heart of the harbour area, around the corner from St. Michaelis Church but at no stage was noise an issue. There are a good few eateries nearby but we would also highly recommend the in-house restaurant where we had a (very reasonably priced) delicious dinner.

Room was excellent, and the staff was super service minded and friendly. The restaurant served a very nice breakfast. We dined in the hotel restaurant in the evening. The food was very good, and tasty, and staff was very attentive, and we felt welcome. I would not hesitate to book a room at the Madison again.

The parking facilities could do with some more signs to where the elevator to the hotel is located. The machine for paying for the parking was placed at an awkward place. I would prefer if you were able to pay directly at the exit at the beam where you put in your ticket to exit.

Breakfast was great. Room was very clean. The proximity to the harbour, the philharmonic and the storage town is outstanding.

Normally in other locations if you book a suite you get a bottle of champagne. Sadly this was not the case in Madison. Furthermore there was food in one of the kitchenette drawers from a previous guest. Upon informing the staff all the snacks and champagne we took from our mini bar was for free. The last thing was of course pretty nice. The underground parking garage was full of garbage and feces - dog or human I do not know.

Terrific place with OUTSTANDING value-for-the money! A nearly 5 star hotel, in perfect location with easy access from metro and super close to attractions, very friendly staff, good breakfast; And, all of that - with ultra-moderate price (especially for the corner suite we've stayed). The suite itself was also super lovely, much better than on pictures, lovely kitchenette area, very quiet, big windows for a lot of light to come in at mornings (but easy to shade at the evening), nice in room music system with digital radio and multiroom sound. Perfect shower and cosmetics.

The breakfast area was very busy - so we had to wait for about 5min before got seated, but afterwards all very good. Really nothing else to mention - wonderful place to stay!

The location was very central. It was easy to get around, which was perfect for a short weekend trip. The area was still very quiet. The room was spacious. My nephew was traveling with my partner and me and we had plenty of space with the double bed and additional sofa bed set up.

You can hear the church bells ringing from time to time. It's not that bothersome, but if you are a light sleeper, close the windows and turn the air on.

The location is superb and the hotel, overall, is extremely well run. Indeed, this four star is superior to some five star hotels I have stayed at in terms of how it is managed.

There were some small hiccups which took the shine off the stay. The hotel food was fine, but rather odd, especially given chicken was always fried. There was also an unkept promise re breakfast coffee and my early departure.
