Wide room, large bed, and very well equipped. A small kitchenette is a plus! The staff was very nice and friendly. The position of the hotel is great to walk around the city or take the subway/bus.

Often, poor wifi (at least in the room). We didn't order any breakfast because it was expensive.

The room was huge, very nice and really quiet. This hotel is ideally located, you can reach the port our the old town just in a few minutes. the price quality level is very good. Small kitchen in the room is also very good if you don't want to go outside for lunch/dinner

Staff was very friendly and attentive, the room was spacious and comfortable and we had a quiet room to the courtyard. It was relatively quiet, not so much noise from other rooms or outside and of course the location was simply perfect - walking distance to the harbor, Hafencity and the city center / shopping area, so really recommended. Breakfast was OK and included everything we needed, though we felt it was a bit pricey for what was offered. We also ate in the restaurant twice and the food was good.

Overall Hamburg accommodations are quite expensive, and this was not an exception, but overall everything went well, so nothing specific to complain about.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant served tasty pub style meals at reasonable prices .The room was quite large and well appointed. Relatively close to major attractions and surrounded by small cafes and restaurants.

Although the bathroom was quite large I am a short elderly female and getting into and particularly out of the shower which is over the bath with no hand rail was an accident waiting to happen. We also do not like the European style of pillows which are everywhere so not really a fault of the hotell.

Great hotel room in an excellent location, close to the River Elbe and the Elbphilharmonie Concert Hall, as well as restaurants and supermarket. The metro station was close, 5 min walking. The room was spacious, kitchen was clean and the room had a very good stereo system, and on arrival there was a nice, quiet piece of classical music on the stereo. Coffee and tea capsules were served daily. The reception staff were friendly and the common areas of the hotel were elegant and beautiful. Despite the building noise outside, the room was extremely quiet and you couldn't hear a thing with the window closed.

The shower head broke, so I told reception. It was replaced the next day. It would have been nice to have three chairs at the table, not just two. (3-bed room) The breakfast was expensive for us, since we don't eat a lot, so we had it outside.

Beautiful room with lots of storage, a desk, a mini kitchen. The lobby was stylish and everything clean. Great shower and bathroom. Espresso machine in the room! Curtains blocked out all sun. There was live music downstairs outside one night- so fun! We could sort of hear it despite the sound proof rooms (because it was right below us) so we just turned the fan up on the AC and it was totally fine. It is a testament to the sound proofing that it worked so well. They were able to let us into our room early which was much appreciated.

An included breakfast would have been nice.

We stayed 3 nights at the Madison Hotel Hamburg in June 2024. The room was large and very comfortable. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast, cooked to order omelet and along with the delights on the buffet. Everything was fresh and delicious. Our reception and check out were also just right. Besides the supreme comfort of the hotel, the location was excellent. We could walk to almost anything we wanted to visit but there were also very nearby bus and train stops to take us wherever we wanted.

Even thought the breakfast was excellent, it was a bit expensive so we only ate breakfast there one morning out of 3.

Beautiful hotel! Bathroom was awesome. Beds very comfortable and the location was great too! The best part about our stay was the staff. In particular Cecil. She was the bar tender. One night we came back to the hotel late, (had spent the evening in the Miniature museum) and had no dinner. Cecil managed to get something to eat for us despite the fact that the restaurant was closed and the bar almost closed. She saved our night! Thanks Cecil!

The cover for the king bed should be wider. My husband and I had trouble to cover ourselves at the same time. It was not wide enough.

It's our favourite hotel in Hamburg. We discovered it last year and it's our annual treat that I never want to miss out on when we our annual trip. The staff are really nice and professional, the restaurant is exquisite, the bar is fabulous and you get a delicious glass of roasted nuts when you order drinks. The rooms are outstanding, bath robes, huge bed, loads of cupboard space, a wonderful little kitchen and a great selection of drinks and snacks in mini bar. You get a coffee machine and loads of good quality tea as well as water that are complimentary. It's in a nice quiet part of town. Although we did not use it, there is a spa. Perhaps I'll remember my swimsuit next year!

There is nothing not to like. It's spectacular.

We had a great stay at The Madison! The room and bathroom were among the larger ones we've had in Europe, and there was nice counter space in the bathroom as well. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the rooms and public spaces were clean. Dinner at Marley's Restaurant was so good the first night that we ate there again the second night (Thai coconut soup, Caesar salad, chicken Singapore, and creme brulee were all delicious). The parking garage was easy to find with decent sized spaces, although some were blocked off due to the concrete breaking up (arriving between 5-6 pm on a Friday, there were multiple spaces available). The location was walkable to every place we wanted to visit. We would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to others.

Honestly, these items pale in comparison to the positive aspects. The pillows go flat as soon as you lay on them and the bed was a bit more firm than we prefer, but we've found these to be typical for European hotels. The parking was expensive, but we knew that from other reviews and also realize that the hotel has no control over the price, since a separate company operates it. Additionally, the parking price seems to be comparable to other hotels in the area.
