The location was excellent! It was a quiet area and felt very safe. It is located beside a great supermarket too. The bed was super comfy and the apartment was a great size for us. It was extremely clean; I noticed this from the minute we entered the building. It had all the utensils we needed. It is not a far walk from the main shopping street and attractions. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

There was a wooden frame around the bed that made it very awkward to get in and out of, I often sleepwalk so it was a worry. Reception were great giving me extra pillows but I felt there should be more available in the room.

I had a fantastic stay at this centrally located hotel. Its proximity to amenities, the city center, and train stations made it incredibly convenient. The staff's friendliness added a warm touch to the experience, and the complimentary coffee and tea were a delightful bonus. The spacious hotel rooms provided a comfortable retreat, making my visit truly enjoyable. Highly recommended!

The restriction on cooking due to potential fines for fire alarm was inconvenient, especially considering the alarm's placement in the kitchen. Additionally, the absence of cleaning services during the stay, coupled with the extra charge for it, was a downside. The 18 euro per person breakfast cost is too expensive.

Cleanness and stuff

Good location for everything especially the Christmas markets. Cleand and comfortable rooms with everything you can need in them. Staff were pleasant and corteous and were happy to help out people. We had a beef about breakfast, see other comments, but we asked for, and received, a refund for one breakfast (€36 for 2 people) without qualms so all good.

Breakfast was ok, only issue was that you kept having to ask for this or that to be replenished even if there weren't that many people in the food area. Staff responded and replenished things but didnt seem to 'watch the levels' and replenish before things ran out. We never saw more that 10-15 people at breakfast at any one time and usually less so it was irksome and the only thing thet let the place down.

Our room was an excellent size with a good size bathroom and nice kitchen area. Perfect to be able to make a drink and if so required to cook. We never bothered with cooking as there are ample restaurants about. The apartments are about a 10 to 15 minute walk through the central area from the train station and it’s so easy to find. We loved the fact that tea or coffee was available free of charge at anytime in the lobby area. Finally all the staff we met were really pleasant and gave us great advice when needed. Nothing seemed too much trouble for them!

There was nothing to dislike.

The location was great, easy to be reached from the central station of Cologne, and therefore close to all sights and transport. The family room was of ample size with a very smart use of the surface. The breakfast was provided in a form of stocking the fridge upon arrival (more than you can every consume) with fresh produce such as milk, ham and yoghurt. Fresh bread and pastries are delivered to the door every morning. Reception staff was extremely helpful when we had questions about the train schedules, very pleasant.

Not a point of criticism, but a suggestion for the management: the bathtub in the bathroom was very high. For us not a problem, but it can be real risk for elder guests to climb over. Maybe an idea in the next renovation plan to change the bathtubs into showers.

Like the last time I stayed in January 2023, clean and cozy place with a kitchen to cook a quick meal. Please keep in mind that the cleaning service is every 5 days, if you want the apartment to be cleaned it costs 21€, however you can find cleaning equipment and you can clean the floors yourself (as I do). One last thing, you can eat just about outside the hotel and there is a REWE supermarket at the corner on your right as you exit the lodge. Very convenient location with quick access to the central locations of Cologne.

The Wi-Fi is rated to maximum 5Mbps which is generally fine but when you want to watch from streaming services, you may have some issues. It could be better. The floors are not super clean and because the ceramic tiles are dark brown you can't realize this until you clean. I did two passes with a floor cleaning liquid and the mop provided and one more set of them in the middle of the week I stayed.

Good location. Everything is nearby. Centrum is close. All amenities provided. There were activities for kids as well in the lobby. We were given milk for kids in the middle of the night when everything was closed, no charge. Didn’t take breakfast so cannot comment on that.But it was quite an expensive stay. Parking was also expensive. Maybe all because of the new year time. Hence I will still give a 5 star.

Apartment was well laid out and adequate for a one bed once living room flat to sleep 4. well stocked kitchen. coffee and tea machines in the kitchen accessible 24/7. a small play area and lot of toys for kids ( we did not need them) and a relaxed sitting area in the restaurant to hang out. Central location, close to all touristy and shopping amenities.

Only gripe is - the apartment provided to us was facing the main road and had a lot of road noise.

The rooms were a little more spacious than expected, which was nice. The location was near the shops and sights we wanted to visit. Also the free coffee and tea we could grab from the lobby was very nice and practical.

The smoke detector being so close to the stove (and the hefty fee you have to pay if it goes off, which i completely understand) made us a little too nervous to use it to do any actual cooking. We decided to eat somewhere else instead
