The rooms were clean and tidy, fresh bedsheets and towels were provided, there was a luggage room available to store our bags before checkin and after checkout. We were assigned to a female dorm on request. The best part about this hostel is that it is located right next to the tram stop Marsstraße, which makes it easily accessible to the city centre, Hauptbanof and the central bus station.

The location is good, the beds are sturdy and the bathroom is unexpectedly high quality. The rooms also have a separate corridor leading to them, so that if you arrive late you can sort out your stuff there, as well as being a place to leave shoes and outerwear. The rooms are uncharacteristically warm for Germany. The staff speaks proper English, like Habib, who helped me to sort out an issue with my keycard quickly and efficiently.
The way to your room may be very maze-like, so pay attention. The one truly bad thing about the whole place is the WiFi - it runs at 0,3 Mb/sec, tops. Also, you need to put on your sheets yourself, so it may be inconvenient for everyone involved late at night.

The shower room has a lot space and come with hairdryer and shampoo. Comes with heater for drying towels.
Receptionist is rude. I changed room twice because of lamp on bed not working. First time I change, the female receptionist claimed it was difficult to find another room and it took her 3 minutes searching for one, but she didn’t press the mouse even once in the process. Changed another room, now not only lamp wasn’t working, the usb ports also didn’t work. Had to pack up everything again and go back to reception, and this time the male receptionist got thing done without complaining once. I get it, it could get quite cheap so I still give 8/10

The staff is extremely friendly, understanding, and helpful. The hotel is completely clean, and everything is new. It offers all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay.
Unfortunately, the hotel seems to struggle with addressing certain guests who do not behave appropriately in shared spaces. There are instances of noise, smoking, or alcohol consumption that can disturb other guests. The only solution offered is room changes, which may inadvertently make those causing the disturbances more comfortable while leaving others inconvenienced.

Two electric fuses on the bed to charge your electronic appliances and more electric ⚡ fuses in the room. A small hall is situated in the room a table and three chairs. It was clean, always hot 🔥 water, always reception, there is a lift, there is a place downstairs a big waiting room full of chairs, tables and fuses to spend your time. 15 minutes walking to the main train station Munchen! Best hard Mattress ever!!
40 minutes walking from the center MarienPlatz. It needs little more cleaning the shower to remove the mould. Very expensive almost €50 per night where Salzburg, London, Innsbruck etc charge €35-40

If I knew how good it was, I would have stayed there since the beggining of my trip. Before moving to ayo I spent few days on the very fancy and expensive hotel across the street with a friend. When she left Munchen, I decided to move to the ayo hostel and I dont know why I didnt do it before. One of the greatest hostels I've ever stayed, with a great infrastructure great accomodation and the price was one third of what I was paying (ok, it was a private hotel room - cant compare differente services). But for who's not on a luxury budget, dont doubt about staying here, I would come back any time!

This is a hostel, but it also has individual hotel rooms. The rooms are basic but clean and nice and nice and warm (I visited in December). Its a ten min tram trip into central Munich and there are a few small local bar/restaurants around but you will probably want to go into central Munich. While it is named as being at Hackerbruker, the Donnersburgerbruker is closer.
As it is a hostel the other residents seem to slam the doors a lot which means it can be a bit noisy but I would be happy to stay again.

I'll give some advice that I came up with myself. Modernize the system of checking people into rooms by adding a section on the registration form at the reception that asks, "What time will I start preparing to leave?" Then, update the system so that it assigns rooms where people will wake up at approximately the same time. I checked in, and the next day I had a long and difficult journey planned to start at 9:00 AM. However, my neighbor woke up at 5:30 AM and started getting ready, another one woke up at 6:15 AM, and another at 6:30 AM, and finally, someone else at 7:20 AM. As a result, I ended up starting my journey at 10:00 AM because I didn’t get enough sleep at all. Point number 1.

A&O hostels are so awesome, I've been in almost all their locations, I also know the 2bosses that own the entire chain. "I love them to death." they're both awesome (Chinese guys). Bar and internet it's super connected and fast. Beds in dorms are so privately, unbelievable super duper nice :) and breakfast it's good and cheap. They also have kitchen so you can buy your food and cook which it's amazing, playroom snooker etc... Lot of young guys, I feeled like I was back in high school, whaha. I'm young myself, I'm only 24 but lots of 19 years. Choose A&O if you want to have the best experience. Regards, Clark #ClarkWillDoIt

Good location not far from central Train/Bus Station. They have renovated the hostel so it seems better than before. The coffee machine at the entrance and new beds as well as free towels were great. The sky bar on the top is also a nice place to hang out with other guests.
They charged the breakfast more than 11,..€ that they have written in a card (9..€)which is given to every guest while check in. If the price have been increased/changed they are not allowed to distribute those old cards which was a huge bundle of pile at the reception. As well as the breakfast was not worth for 11€ The lobby is quite small for so many guests.
