This has been my 10th trip to Greece and with no hesitation I can say that the experience my wife and I had in Casa Leone has been the best we've ever had! It's a top quality hotel with elegant, well-equipped rooms, with a great location right by the old Venetian port, and the view from our room's big terrace was simply spectacular by day and by night, which you can see in the photos attached! The staff, especially Olga, are incredibly friendly and go above and beyond to support you with any questions. We enjoyed the served breakfasts, too. Highly recommended!

No disadvantages that I can think of. The bathroom is not particularly spacious, but that's because an old, historic building has its limitations.

We absolutely loved our stay - Olga’s hospitality was unparalleled. She offered recommendations, beach towels, even left breakfast for us when we left at 4:30am to visit Samaria gorge. The room opened onto the Venetian port (a breathtaking view) where we played cards at night. The breakfast was more than filling - fresh fruit, coffee, various breakfast, yogurt, jams etc.

The parking is difficult in the area (as with any old town in Europe!) but Olga gave us many parking options and we always were able to find a spot within 10-15 minutes. Tip is to not be parking at sunset when everyone comes to the harbor (we always parked at the busiest times!)

Beautiful old building with an incredible history. Old town, old glamour vibes. Rooms are just so beautiful and quirky. Staff stayed late to check us in after a delayed flight, and are so warm and attentive. The breakfast! Oh my, what a breakfast in a glorious setting. Extremely clean. Such a lovely place to stay. We stayed only one night as we were on the way to a villa, but we will come back to Chania and will stay here for sure! Thank you Casa Leone, we rate you 5 stars from a well travelled couple ❤️

We loved everything!!!

My wife and I have spent 4 days at Casa Leone. We would like to highlight some very positive aspects in our opinion: the most important is Olga's personalized attention at the reception and taking care of the details of a very varied and healthy breakfast. In our case, Olga has been especially helpful in transferring me to the hospital to treat an illness I had during my stay. Thank you Olga! Our room has been spacious and with a beautiful balcony with a direct view of the Venetian port. The cleaning of the room has been very good.

Amazing location, incredible staff (shout out to the amazing Ms. Olga + Ms. Yiota who were very helpful throughout our stay). Beds were very comfortable, breakfast was excellent! A very romantic / quaint 1800s style B&B

Minor recommendations: too many decorative pillows (which I would suspect are not cleaned that often lol) and the drapes around the bed were very dusty. AC unit also needs a new filter, woke up with a sore throat each morning.

Great views over the beautiful old port of Chania, on the northern side of the old port which is the nicest part of the city and a little quieter whilst still feeling you are right in amongst it Nothing was to much trouble for Olga and her small team whether it be attending to any requests, minor issues or simply providing helpful detailed guidance on all aspects of staying in and around Chania Break fast was varied each day and enough to last through the whole day !

Some noise is to be expected when staying in an old hotel building that is right in the centre of a bustling port Its a small hotel with only one public room with multiple uses as reception, breakfast room, lounge etc The bedroom is spacious, the bathroom is small, but functional Difficult to locate the entrance on arrival as the entrance is to the rear but finding it from the front amongst the narrow lanes without any signage is quite difficult

Loved the location and the view!! It is honestly the best location that you would want for night life. We are not very light sleepers but noticed that could be an issue for others if you are. We heard the bottles being rattled almost every morning for a few seconds when being picked up and music from afar in the middle of the night but it wasn't anything we could not fall back to sleep after.

The shower is really small. My husband is a little under 6 ft and shower was tight but it's like that everywhere so just be aware, in case you need more space.

The Casa Leone is in a historic building on the Venetian Harbor. The view from the breakfast area is phenomenal. We stayed in room 5, which has a large private patio and stunning view of the harbor. This was our second stay at the property during our vacation. On both occasions, all the staff members were warm, helpful, and very kind. The breakfasts were wonderful, and the staff were able to accommodate my gluten free diet. The property was very clean, and our room was comfortable. We loved our stay at Casa Leone and would definitely stay there again!

These are not really negatives but rather things to keep in mind. Our room was accessed by a spiral staircase, which we thought was charming. It would not be ideal for someone with mobility challenges. Due to the property’s location near many bars and restaurants, there is some noise at night; ear plugs were helpful. Mind you, we visited during August, one of the busiest months for tourism.

If you're looking for character on the edge of the water this is for you. With it comes a gorgeous breakfast every morning with an incredible view, served to you with a smile. Our room had a lofted bed and living space down the stairs. It was truly romantic and charming. The room had all the facilities we needed and the receptionist was utterly wonderful. She helped with any query or question and there were lots of visitor books available to read while sitting in the breakfast room over looking the view. Thank you

A hidden gem in the heart of Venetian Harbour, that takes you back in time with it's classic Venetian style interior. It is more than just a place to stay, it is an experience to remember! The staff is just amazing, Olga was super supportive, thoughtful and helpful throughout our stay. She even arranged a breakfast in the room since we were leaning really early in the morning, she suggested places to visit, and provided anything we would need. Excellent service / location / property.

Towels and linen were nice and clean, but general cleanliness could be a bit better.
