Location was excellent and all the pretty, and picturesque streets, restaurants and bars were around. Staff were very helpful and smiley and when I needed them, their response was immediate.

One small comment / feedback... I arrived very late as my flight was the latest one from Athens and there was no drinkable water in the room. It would have been nice to have either a complimentary bottle of still water or even an option in the fridge to pay. There was a bottle of water on the bedside table which was refilled the next day as well but it wasn't drinkable at all - not sure where this was filled from but the taste was very odd so a bit questionable. Everything else was excellent so this is mainly a comment for the hotel to use constructively :)

This holiday was exceptional, we had a fantastic time in Chania and at the Ionas Boutique Hotel. We stayed for more than a week and everything was enjoyable. We felt like you would feel at home. The team was caring and attentive, they recommended places to go for quick lunch, interesting areas to visit and they periodically ensured that we had everything we needed during our stay. The facilities were nice and cozy. The rooms are perfect size for 2 people and distributed in a smart way (at least ours was), so all the time we spent inside you had opportunity to work if you had to. I enjoyed especially discovering the terrace on the second floor for work surrounded by an urban garden. The breakfast and the team serving the tables were magnificent and one of the highlights every morning, we had cappuccino freddo, fruits and local varied pastries and delights daily. It's unfortunate that I won't enjoy the same breakfast at home!

I am so grateful we were able to find and book Ionas Hotel! The whole experience was just absolutely perfect, mainly thanks to the lovely staff who ensured we were well fed, slept on the comfiest beds and always recommended amazing things to do around. The hotel and the rooms are very charming, freshly renovated and at the heart of Chania - we were able to go just anywhere! I already miss this vacation and I'm hoping we can come back yet again to experience that wonderful breakfast in the garden.

This is a boutique, family-run hotel ideally located down a cute pedestrian street in the Old Town, with close proximity to restaurants, shops, the beach, and bus stops. Breakfast choice was limited but tasty and filling, and the waitress remembered our vegetarian dietary requirements and breakfast preferences each day. The members of staff were friendly and very kind. Sofianna in particular was a superstar and could not have been more helpful - she arranged airport transfers for us, as well as a packed breakfast for the days we had an early morning start, beach towels, and travel to Balos beach. The reception closes in the afternoon each day, but Sofianna and her team can be easily contacted via phone/messages if you need to do so after then. I cannot recommend this little gem of a hotel enough, and will be looking to stay here again when I next go to Chania!

Charming boutique hotel in old town. Wonderful staff. Super helpful with local info and help with parking in or near the old town.Really a gem of a place..The room was great. Breakfast in the garden is also a great start to the day

Staying in old town is amazing. Just know the hotel is on the edge of a pedestrian zone, You can drive to within about 100 m of the hotel. Loading and unloading was pretty easy to figure out. Parking on nearby streets was not an issue as long as you were there by about 6 pm. After that so many people are driving in to take advantage of the old town restaurants that parking got a little more crowded Luckily,The city parking lot near the port was also a short walk away and they always had space.

This has been a standout accommodation location during my stay in Greece! The rooms are beautiful, excellent size, mine had a small balcony so it was nice to have fresh air (which I definitely haven’t gotten everywhere!) and the showers have good pressure. The breakfast was delicious, I loved the muesli and Greek yogurt with fruit and honey! There is also a terrace area which I didn’t use as a I had my balcony and was travelling alone, but it’s beautiful and I saw groups of people enjoying it with wine in the evenings. The staff are amazing, it is a family owned business and they are all very friendly - giving me great recommendations of what to do when one of my tours didn’t happen one day, and always ready for a chat in the morning. Location is perfect in the old town - if you taxi you will have to take your luggage about 50 metres as the old town is not accessible by car, but it’s a very easy 50m and the old town is (in my opinion) the perfect place to stay for a first visit. I will 100% stay here if I am lucky enough to visit Chania again, and will be telling all my friends to stay here if they go.

Ionas Boutique Hotel is a rare gem in the wonderful old town in Chania. We have had one of the best stays of our travelling life! The staff has been really precious, always helpful, kind, available and professional. Sofianna has been a star and gave us lots of tips and was always very fast at responding. The care they have for the hotel and the guests is top notch. The cleanliness was 5 ⭐️ our towels were changed every day and our room cleaned every day, which is rare, especially in summer. What to say about breakfast, every day it was so fresh and the variety was lovely, delicious local products not to be missed. We would highly recommend to stay here when in Chania, we will surely be back one day!!! Thank you Ionas Hotel 🙏🏽

We dream of returning. This location made our vacation perfect! The staff is WONDERFUL and went out their way to help us find great restaurants, feel comfortable! The room is PERFECT. Clean, stylish, LARGE, with very comfortable beds/bedding. Clean, modern, beautiful - the updates were beyond our expectations with artistic, high quality details at every turn. The view is just lovely in the MOST PERECT location in friendly, colorful, beautiful, Old Town Chania and walking distance to everything with a restaurant at your feet. THANK YOU for making us feel so welcome and such a perfect holiday! Charming, gorgeous, lovely. WONDERFUL!

It was PERFECT! I didn't want to leave!

Location was delightful, the character of the restored building added historical value, the quietness and overall service. A perfect start to the day requires a fresh breakfast and the Ionas was exceptional in this respect, thanks to all the staff who made our stay memorable. Recommended to family for next season!

There was nothing we didn't like.

We particularly enjoyed this hotel's location in a relatively quiet part of the old town, yet just a few steps away from the famous port. The area near the port is quite overrun with tourists and related souvenir shops, while this location still has some of the quiet old town feel. The staff was very friendly and the included breakfast was simply delicious.

While there is an elevator in the building, accessibility may be an issue for those who cannot climb stairs since the rooms were a couple of steps up after leaving the elevator.
