The staff couldn't have been more accommodating. We arrived very early in the morning and they made a huge effort to get us a room asap. My friend is coeliac and they provided gluten free pancakes for breakfast which is unheard of in most hotels. The rooms were so clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel in general is beautiful and such great value. Yes it is a little tiny bit of a walk outside the main streets but nothing that would or should deter you from booking this hotel.

The place is nice, best if someone wants peace and a quiet time, without being too far from the city's action. Having breakfast in the garden is a real pleasure. The entire staff is really kind, helpful and transparent...all my interactions were great, either with the night staff, with the online messages, or the day staff. The busiest area is 10-15mins walk away or 5mins in Tuk-Tuk. Staying in this hotel was a great way for me, to approach Antigua!

Those older colonial buildings are charming however they can hold humidity. Upon arrival, I asked for a fan and i ventilated my room, then it was ok

The staff so incredibly welcoming & kind. You have to walk a little to the center but it was not much and the staff helped when I wanted a driver to get from the airport to the hotel & vise versa. Also communicated well with the other drivers I had for excursions. When I got there I didn’t even had request a fan they brought it to my room before I had to ask. Super happy with my stay completely recommend. Oh and their wifi worked super well.

The value for money for this accommodation is excellent (relative to other surrounding accommodation). The room is big, the showers and toilets, breakfast and staff were all excellent. Better than what you can get for the price typically in Antigua

The rooms would greatly benefit from a fan, or portable or permanent air conditioning - it can feel very warm in the rooms. The location isn't amazing and needs a brief walk to the main centre of town, but reasonably located regardless

The best hotel we have experienced on our 8 week Centralamerican travel. We seriously considered to extend our stay in la Antigua, just to get one more cosy day at this hotel. Super nice room, friendly and competent staff (they actually separated our wool from other clothes at the laundry), lots of hot water in the shower and nice made-to-order breakfast.

We should have found this hotel the first time we stayed in Antigua... (it was our second stay in the city)

The courtyard area is truly beautiful to look at. I had breakfast in front of it, then worked on the same table throughout the morning. It was very relaxing. The hotel is 10-15 min walking from the central park, and the benefit of that is it's pretty quiet throughout the day.

Breakfast tables are right in front of the rooms, so you'll hear people eating right outside your door. Would not be an issue if you wake up early.

The hotel is very affordable and has a lovely garden. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is yummy and included in the cost of stay. The bed was quite comfortable, and bathrooms were stocked with toiletries. I liked that each room had a table with chairs outside of it, great place to eat breakfast.

The walls in this hotel are very thin. You can hear everything that is happening in the rooms next to you. Bring earplugs if you want quiet.

Don't know whether that is normal or it was just down for a few days, but couldn't do any work. If I am paying $65 a night I expect wifi to work. I recommend next time, offering the guest a discount.

We really liked the quietness of the location and the friendliness of the staff a lot. The hotel yard is very pretty and relaxing to sit in. Only a few minutes walking distance from the center of Antigua. The beds were very comfortable, too.

We didn't get the room we booked in the first night which was a bit of a shame, but the hotel staff gave us a complementary bottle of wine to make up for it which was nice. In our larger room we had a kitchen, but no pots, pans or cutlery which was a bit confusing. Just plates. The staff didnt explicitly tell us that breakfast is only served until 9:30am so that we missed it even though it was included in our booking. The bedside lamp didnt work and when we tried to adjust the light bulp my friend got an electric shock. Luckily she was fine though.

Excelent staff, very supportive and attentive to our needs. They helped us with information about how to get around in Antigua, exchange money and arranged a transfer from Guatemala airport to the hotel. Our driver Edgar was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very spacious and we spent 3 nights in two of them. Beds are great, and hot water works perfectly. There is no AC but nights were cool and we didn't miss it. The hotel is very charming with an internal open court with a fountain and full of plants and decorations. All in all a great experience!

The hotel is a little bit removed from the city center which makes it inconvenient to walk to and from many times a day (15 minutes walking). This is very minor inconvenience because you can request an uber anywhere. Also it had the advantage of having quiet nights as opposed to a lot of hotels near the noise of the parties in town.
