The position is excellent and the hotel itself is nice. The room we booked for was a little bit small and you don’t expect THAT shower. Anyway not a big problem. The breakfast is good. Our compliments to the manager for hiring Lydia: she knows what customer service is and how to exceed customer’s expectations. She’s been amazing and very very helpful.

Very central place, you cant miss the Hotel because it is next to Hallgrimskirkja. Good and friendly staff.

From the information of Hotel, regarding parking place, you get understanding that there is parking place at the hotel. Actually the parking place is around the close Church of Hallgrimskirkja and it is was very crowded. Luckily we managed to find place for our rental car. Also Europecar rental place (if you have booked rental car from City center point) is not next to Hotel (their webpages show wrong), it is straight Line from hotel 2,2 km.along the Njardargata (cross the big road) and takes 30 min walking. Church is very near and you can hear the bells clearly every 15 minutes starting round am 9-10. Luckily not during night(ends playing 21-22). A bit noisy - (lot of tourists looking the Church and there is 2 Food vans and Popular Restaurant ROK) next to Hotel.

We didn’t have a room that included breakfast, although we had the option to pay directly for it. We especially appreciated that we could go into the breakfast room area at any time of day to enjoy free tea or coffee. The lounge area where this was available was very pleasant, with comfortable seating and an attractive decor. That was a real bonus for this hotel.

Everything was fine and in accordance with the price of the room. There was a slight amount of noise from the street with tourists walking by, but it was not excessive by any means. With the fabulous location right across from the church, that is to be expected.

Fab location, so central. All of the tour buses and airport bus drop/pick you up at the bus stop beside the church which is just across the road. Staff are all amazing. So lovely and helpful and really went above and beyond. They upgraded my room from a single for a few days which was wonderful. Breakfasts were great. Very good food.

The single room I stayed in needs an upgrade. The quality of the double rooms are excellent. Nothing to do with the size of the single room, just the furnishings, paint etc, needs a revamp.

Excellent location! Bus stop 8 was 1 minute away by foot where you can catch excursions and airport transfers. Connivence store is next door for cheaper food options and fresh fruit and tons of great shops and food options nearby. Complimentary coffee and tea 24/7 in the lobby was lovely after a long day in the cold!! Shout to Maria at reception for getting us a bus pick up with 15 mins to spare — her customer service and great personality will definitely have us coming back to this hotel next visit!

Bedrooms were very dark even with the different lamp options & there is no elevator which can be a struggle if you a have large suitcases and you’re on the 4th floor.

Great place. I would stay here again. It is cheap, by Iceland standards, and the location is excellent. It's more suitable for family travel and probably less so for a romantic 25th anniversary getaway, though. It feels part hotel, part hostel. More hotel then hostel, but it's a great balance and I loved this place. Stayed there with my son, but not sure if I might look for a different place if taking my wife. The breakfast is absolutely worth the extra cost. I can't imagine having stayed anywhere else in Reykjavik, or eating breakfast anywhere else.

No complaints. If anything, it would be nice if they had bigger rooms, but not much you can do about that.

The location (opposite the church) is unbeatable. If you drive in from your Iceland adventure and make this your final pre-departure hotel night, it is unbeatable in downtown thanks to the free parking and walkable-distance downtown location. The staff was super friendly and helpful. For the location the price was excellent…

…the interior and insulation of the rooms was a bit dated. This did not bother us much as it was a simple sleeping place for us and location and parking were the main criteria. So this is not a criticism just a “heads up” as you get what you pay for and this is true value for money!

Great location in front of the Hallgrimskirkja, close to cafes & restaurants. Very clean and nice to have tea& coffee facilities in the common lounge area.

Rooms are small

I had an unforgettable stay in Reykjavik. The main difference between this hotel and the many new hotels is that it is family run and you can feel it. The hotel is tastefully decorated and I had a very cozy and comfortable room. I felt like home abroad. The manager and the staff did everything possible to make my stay as pleasant as possible.
