Had another wonderful stay here—I’m a returning guest, and for good reason! As a solo traveller, this place was perfect. The location is ideal, just a 2-minute walk to the city centre, with bus stops (6 & 14) nearby for easy pick-ups. The room is cosy, private, and well-equipped with a great kitchen and a coffee machine (always a bonus!). But the absolute highlight? The bed! Easily the most comfortable mattress I’ve ever slept on—better than the one I have at home, lol. It was absolutely fabulous to see the Northern Lights from the window—such a magical experience! Communication with the staff has always been excellent. I’ve never had any problems. I know some guests might get frustrated when the door code doesn’t work, but honestly, just take a deep breath, give them a call, and they’re always quick to assist and sort it out. The only downside? Having to go back home! Can’t wait to visit again!

My stay at Swan house was absolutely great! The hotel is located in city center of Reykjavik. I took bus from Keflavik airport. The bus provider at the airport gave me a map and I found the hotel very easily. The location of the hotel in Reykjavik is perfect. All amenities are within walking distance. All tours and transportation hubs are easily accessible. I originally thought to rent a car but luckily didn’t. Didn’t need the car at all and used local buses or walked to absolutely everywhere with ease. The room had three radiators where you could adjust the temperature to be just perfect for you. The room was spotless clean and very nicely decorated. Little kitchen had all necessary equipment which become handy when we came home tired and just wanted to make a quick meal. The owners of the hotel were great, communication was easy and prompt. I will stay there again for sure if we go to Iceland! Kate

Too many rules which we found out about after the booking which took away from our comfort. We didn’t use any amenities in the apartment for fear of being fined.

The location is very good. You can do almost everything by walk. The tours pick us up from a bus stop that is very close. The hotel has everything you need and if you need anything extra, you can use your door code to the storage room. It’s a very simple and basic hotel.

The picture on the booking website that shows when we book the room is very different and bigger. I was expecting something bigger and brighter, with a proper space for the kitchen table and kitchen. The room was very small. I basically used the hotel just for sleeping as I was away for the tours during the day. For this reason, this wasn’t an issue.

The property was wonderfully decorated and furnished. It was also in a good location, walking distance from bars, restaurants and the main attractions. There were also many parking spots available around the property within the P2 and P3 zones.

The code pad on the entrance to the building can be slightly temperamental in the evening when the weather is cold. Also, the shower in the room had a quite a low pressure and apart from a few hooks on the wall, there was no furniture to store clothing. Lastly, as the rooms are not cleaned during each stay, I think they would greatly benefit from some cleaning equipment stored inside the room or in a communal area.

The location is incredible close to all the fun things including night life we were able to walk everywhere. The Staff is incredibly friendly and willing to do anything to make you feel welcome. I left my diamond earring behind and the staff found them and offered to mail to me !

We had a tiny issue with the door to get in, the code was working but the door required an extra push and some viking strength to get in, however Emils went out of his way to fix the issue including taking the whole lock apart and putting it together and leaving us a key for our piece of mind, he was super friendly and respectful and gave us tons of great recommendations.

The location is great! You are close to everything in Reykjavík. Just keep in mind that the location is downhill so like most of Reykjavík it’s hilly. Getting in to the apartment was smooth and also checking out. The apartment was spacious and nice and warm. Overall good value for your money.

The pillows, they are so thin that we got neck pain, we requested more but we never got them. We stayed for 5 nights and didn’t get housekeeping. I understand you don’t get it daily anymore but it would have been nice after at least 3 nights. The kitchen is just enough, there’s no microwave so be mindful of the stuff you buy to cook. This apartment particularly has a window where other apartments can see you ( if they go to their balconies or are looking outside), so just be mindful of that.

Located in the downtown area (closer to Bus stop 14 5 mins walk/ close to Bus stop 6 8 mins walk) for all the Day Tours and rainbow street/shopping street are at walkable distance Lot of restaurants / shopping / bakeries around Couple of Super Markets (Bonus and Corner Market) around as well and there is 1 24 hrs super market (101) too They allowed early check-in for us which was very nice -around 12 PM as the room was ready/available. No staff around but available via chat to attend to you and at the earliest

All good with basic cooking utilities provided. Missing was wardrobe which could be provided. WiFi was something on and off which could be improved to cover all areas of the room

The apartments are in great shape. Equipped with everything that you may need to stay UpTo a week or more. It's very well located, close proximity to main shopping street, grocery store, pick up bus station number 14. The main BSI bus station is quite far though. I was working remotely while staying here and had no complaints regarding internet speeds either. However, some rooms do not have any wifi coverage so if you definitely would need internet during your stay, let the staff know well in advance to arrange a room accordingly. The reception is unmanned but the operations are still quite smooth. Make sure to check the email for detailed check-in instructions. Staff is quite quick on booking. Com messages as well and their contact number. Overall, really good stay. Really good shower and comfortable beds. Temperature control is amazing too.

Some rooms do not have internet at all and this is inconsistent.

Brilliant location for exploring the city, 2 minute walk to the main shopping street with all the bars etc and maybe 5-10 mins if that to the infamous rainbow road or go the other way and to the church. Bus stop #14 2 minute walk away ideal for airport transfer and excursions. Our room had a nice view out to the sea and also to the church at the other side. Room itself was brilliant all we needed bed was comfy and spacious room. Clean and quiet, great location, no real complaints here and a very good price at little over £100/night.

Getting in the main front door proved difficult sometimes as the digital keypad was often fiddly, but the times it worked the keyless entry was a nice touch. Potentially a nice feature would be an in room thermostat to control the temperature.
