My stay at Swan house was absolutely great! The hotel is located in city center of Reykjavik. I took bus from Keflavik airport. The bus provider at the airport gave me a map and I found the hotel very easily. The location of the hotel in Reykjavik is perfect. All amenities are within walking distance. All tours and transportation hubs are easily accessible. I originally thought to rent a car but luckily didn’t. Didn’t need the car at all and used local buses or walked to absolutely everywhere with ease. The room had three radiators where you could adjust the temperature to be just perfect for you. The room was spotless clean and very nicely decorated. Little kitchen had all necessary equipment which become handy when we came home tired and just wanted to make a quick meal. The owners of the hotel were great, communication was easy and prompt. I will stay there again for sure if we go to Iceland! Kate

Too many rules which we found out about after the booking which took away from our comfort. We didn’t use any amenities in the apartment for fear of being fined.

The location is incredible close to all the fun things including night life we were able to walk everywhere. The Staff is incredibly friendly and willing to do anything to make you feel welcome. I left my diamond earring behind and the staff found them and offered to mail to me !

We had a tiny issue with the door to get in, the code was working but the door required an extra push and some viking strength to get in, however Emils went out of his way to fix the issue including taking the whole lock apart and putting it together and leaving us a key for our piece of mind, he was super friendly and respectful and gave us tons of great recommendations.

The location is great! You are close to everything in Reykjavík. Just keep in mind that the location is downhill so like most of Reykjavík it’s hilly. Getting in to the apartment was smooth and also checking out. The apartment was spacious and nice and warm. Overall good value for your money.

The pillows, they are so thin that we got neck pain, we requested more but we never got them. We stayed for 5 nights and didn’t get housekeeping. I understand you don’t get it daily anymore but it would have been nice after at least 3 nights. The kitchen is just enough, there’s no microwave so be mindful of the stuff you buy to cook. This apartment particularly has a window where other apartments can see you ( if they go to their balconies or are looking outside), so just be mindful of that.

Located in the downtown area (closer to Bus stop 14 5 mins walk/ close to Bus stop 6 8 mins walk) for all the Day Tours and rainbow street/shopping street are at walkable distance Lot of restaurants / shopping / bakeries around Couple of Super Markets (Bonus and Corner Market) around as well and there is 1 24 hrs super market (101) too They allowed early check-in for us which was very nice -around 12 PM as the room was ready/available. No staff around but available via chat to attend to you and at the earliest

All good with basic cooking utilities provided. Missing was wardrobe which could be provided. WiFi was something on and off which could be improved to cover all areas of the room

The location was fantastic - central in Reykjavik but in a quiet location. The room was spacious with a very comfy bed. The kitchen was well equipped with a stove, sink, fridge and cooking utensils. The shower was hot and powerful - great that there was a radiator inside which kept it warm and the addition of shampoo, conditioner and a hair dryer was helpful. The apartment was very clean.

There were no black out blinds or curtains (curtains were thin, white opaque sheets), so when you visit in late spring/summer, the room is very light all night so we struggled to sleep. There was no oven or microwave even though there was plenty of space for one. This would make cooking in the kitchenette much easier. Check in is 3pm - we arrived around 8am and called the apartment asking if we would be able to check in early who said we would but stated that the room wasn't ready yet but would call back as soon as it was. We spoke to some guests who had early check in so we were disappointed to never receive that call and then to be told on a different call early check in isn't possible. Could be beneficial to offer early check in for those quests arriving on early flights.

The location was fantastic, the apartment was quite spacious for a family with young kids. And the best part, there are supply rooms on every floor so you could always get yourself fresh towels and sheets whenever you needed. It provided all the benefits of hotel stay without the downside of cramped hotel rooms (in my previous visit which was for work I had stayed in an international chain hotel and first hand experienced how small the rooms are). But the biggest shout out is for the staff....they were responsive around the clock and helping with everything. We had issues with our flight causing delays in reaching - no problem...the staff were quick to respond to all questions. Any questions about transportation, neighborhood, places to buy items (phone charger) after 10 pm...the staff were always quick to respond to messages. The location was great not just for downtown exploration (the main street is 3 min walk) but also close to pickup point for all travels and tours (Bus stop #14 is < 5 min walk away).

Very comfortable bed, good heating, good cooking equipment provided along with toiletries. The bathroom was spacious and the water pressure was great. Location was fantastic and minutes away from the sun voyager and the coast. The recommendations the hotel provided were also very useful.

There was no cutlery provided in the property despite all the cooking utensils. The room could have been cleaner, there were dust rings from where the wine glasses hadn’t been moved and under the bed was very dusty. The electronic keypad to get into the building was quite temperamental which was frustrating when it was so cold as it could take a few attempts.

Location, right near the centre of town, about 4 min walk. 3 mins to walk to bus stop number 14, where pick up for all of our trips was from including the drop off and pick up for the airport. Great for restaurants, bars, and shops. Close enough to everything but quite area so no noise from traffic, or people walking around talking. Once you understand the code system to get in, which is the 4 digit code plus the #, it gets you into everything. The building, the storage room for luggage, your room, and the rubbish storage area, so no keys to lose or forget. Each code is unique to every room. We were on the ground floor, but there was a lift. Our room was basic but was clean , warm, and comfortable. If you have any problems, they deal with them right away. Just make sure you read the manual they email you.

The downside to our room was nowhere to hang up our clothes or pack things away. We had to live out of our suitcase, which was OK, but we were there for a week, and I like to unpack. A chest of drawers at the end of the bed would have worked. Could have done with a dust pan and brush as sometimes little stones got caught in your shoes and come into the room, and I split some sugar, trying to pick it up took ages having to use damp kitchen towel to get the last grains up. A toster would have been nice. Only little things, not enough to spoil the holiday. I think the apartment upstairs might have some of these, so check what each apartment has to offer.

The room was very spacious and comfortable. We loved the bed and bedding, check in and check out were very easy, parking was easily accessible, and we were just a few blocks from the main area of Reykjavík and about a block from the ship status, for reference.

The only negative was the bath products. The hand soap seemed more like water than soap, and it appeared the branded shampoo and conditioner bottles were actually refilled with Tresemme products. Other than that, everything was excellent and a great value.
