This was hands down the best hotel stay I've ever had, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Agra! Despite the price, it's worth every penny. Celebrating our anniversary, the staff went above and beyond, upgrading and decorating our room, surprising us with a cake in our room and at dinner. The pool area is stunning, and the spa experience was remarkable, topped off with an amazing private yoga session. They even arranged a guide to tour the Agra Fort and Taj Mahal.

Our hotel stay was absolutely flawless, and I couldn't find a single thing to complain about. From the above and beyond service to the luxurious amenities, every aspect exceeded my expectations.

Fantastic luxury property with service that was probably the best we have ever seen in a ll our travels. We had two rooms with views of the Taj; the rooms were large, well-equipped & with special treats every night at turndown. The staff knew us by names, learnt our preferences quickly & took care of us with utmost attention. They were super kind to our kids & even gave them little parting gifts. The food was delicious; we had made reservations at Esphahan and the dinner was amazing. Our daily breakfast at the other restaurant (forgot the name) was excellent, especially the daily local fare that we could order off the menu (but still included in the buffet).

We recently had the pleasure of staying at The Oberoi Amarvilas Agra, and I must say it was an unforgettable experience. My partner and I were celebrating our 6th anniversary, and the hotel staff went above and beyond to make our stay special. The service provided by the staff was truly exceptional, some of the best I have ever experienced. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the spectacular views of the Taj Mahal, which were every bit as breathtaking as promised. The hotel's location is unparalleled, offering uninterrupted vistas of this iconic monument right from our room. Despite being a newer building, The Oberoi Amarvila Agra exudes the grandeur and charm of a palace. The architecture and decor are stunning, reflecting the rich heritage of the region. Every corner of the hotel exudes luxury and elegance, making it a truly unforgettable destination. Overall, our experience at The Oberoi Amarvila Agra was nothing short of magical. From the impeccable service to the stunning views, every aspect of our stay exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and unforgettable experience in Agra.

Waoohhh!!! the vue is just incredible right on the Taj and the gardens, the pool, the terraces are just perfect settings!! Our bedroom was very nice too. Pool is heated which is really nice that time of year. Beautifully decorated. Superb staff. THE BEST SERVICE in our 3 weeks stay in Rajasthan. Really a gem! Excellent idea to tip at the end of our stay "all in one go". Helped us out to get tickets and a guide (at no extra costs versus "standard prices") to visit the Taj Mahal. Excellent guide JITIN - very good English + very knowledgeable also beside the Taj itself. Excellent service / bar next to the Pool. Nice Hamman (please book in advance!)

We already said that to the staff as they prompted the question when we left. Everything was perfect but 1. the atmosphere of the restaurants could be improved (not very romantic... no candles on tables, very "cold" both in temperature and atmosphere) and 2. ok the gym was getting refurbished and there was a temp gym instead but hardly any equipment to use (no matts for ex.)

Property is beautiful, the staff were amazingly friendly - they allowed us to check in early and to an upgraded room free of charge. The view of the Taj is fantastic (although a little hazy in November) The pool is a great place to relax and the staff were very kind with lots of little extras included to make they stay more social The breakfast was delicious and the chef gave us a wonderful tour of her kitchen

The 2 restaurants weren’t particularly special but the chef was lovely and gave us a tour of the kitchen Some of the pricing in the bar is a bit off - equivalent of £40 for a double gin and tonic but a cocktail of the same amount is half of that.

Breakfast was wonderful. Had both Indian and international choices. They offered complimentary coffee and snacks for those wishing to see the Taj at sunrise. The Taj is closed on Fridays and accordingly coffee is not offered on Fridays which I wish it had been. The hotel arranged an experienced guide who was friendly and informative.

Our room was okay, sort of cramped for the price. They offered me a birthday cake but forgot to bring it. However, we greatly appreciated the marble elephant gift upon departure which was incredibly thoughtful! We'll be back to India.

The Amarvilas is an exceptional hotel. The view from all aspects is spectacular. We were lucky enough to have large balconies with views of the pool area and Taj Mahal. The property itself is spotlessly clean. Room are very large and everything has been thought of for a comfortable stay! Beds super comfortable. Bar and restaurants v high quality. Staff wonderful and so helpful. We also loved the golf buggy to and from the Taj Mahal itself.

Room 120 right next to the reception lobby was very noisy. The echoing sounds of constant shouting etc continued until almost midnight which is a bit frustrating when getting up at 04.30. We were a bit baffled by the request to be in the main bar area by no later than 5am for the sunrise Taj Mahal visit. We presumed there was some sort of organised process. This time seemed to be purely to provide tea/coffee etc which we didn’t want. After waiting around for a bit we asked the concierge when we would be travelling to the Taj, to be told “whenever you like!”. So essentially we could’ve had either an extra half an hour sleep or headed to the Taj Mahal half an hour earlier rather than sitting around!

My experience at the Oberoi Amarvilas in Agra, situated next to the iconic Taj Mahal, was nothing short of spectacular. This ranks among the finest establishments I've had the privilege of staying at. The awe-inspiring view of the Taj Mahal from our room, coupled with the exquisite accommodations and amenities, make it an absolute must-visit. Every aspect of service delivered is nothing less than exceptional, starting from the first interaction to the last. The personnel you encounter throughout your stay will impress you with their genuine friendliness, ready assistance, and unwavering kindness. We were fortunate enough to celebrate our anniversary here, and the hotel staff went above and beyond to ensure our occasion was uniquely memorable. The special gestures didn't end at the hotel, we were pleasantly surprised with a car upgrade for our journey back to Delhi. Our driver, John, was a delightful companion, adding to the overall joy of our experience. For anyone seeking an unparalleled experience in the shadow of the Taj Mahal, I can't recommend the Oberoi Amarvilas highly enough. If it were possible to give them more than 5 stars, I would.

I cannot recommend this hotel enough!! Honestly, if you’re wondering whether to book it or maybe choose a slightly more budget-friendly option, my advice is go ahead & book it. It’s more than a hotel but an experience Outstanding in all aspects Overwhelming hospitality Best views of Taj Mahal & most convenient for visiting. Great attention to details including a 5 am light snack bar & coffee for those visiting the Mahal with sunrise We were offered a free room upgrade, late check-out, & enjoyed our stay fully Thank you to the wonderful staff

Absolutely nothing

Where to begin!? We arrived in india after spending 2 weeks hiking in the Himalayas completing Everest Base Camp. It’s safe to say that we were desperate for some luxury in our lives! As soon as we arrived at the Oberoi, we were made to feel like the most special people on the planet. We were warmly welcomed by Ishika who checked us in and showed us our room. We were instantly blown away by the beautiful decor and the friendliness and professionalism of all staff members. In the afternoon, we enjoyed some time in the beautiful pool. Before we even sat down, the butlers had placed 2 fresh towels on our lounger and given us a cool box full of ice water. Next we went to our room, which was exceptional. We were upgraded to a room with a balcony overlooking the Taj. We were showered with small gifts, butler service and any help we could possibly think of. We could even pick our favourite kind of pillow from the pillow menu! Whilst we were at the Indian cuisine restaurant (which was out of this world) the butler team ‘turned down’ our room and got it all cosy for our sleep. We had local and live entertainment as the sunset and whilst we ate dinner. Never in our lives did we think that we would be the kind of people who spend S$500 a night on a hotel but the Oberoi is an experience like no other. This is the best value for money we have ever spent and we are already planning our next stay at another Oberoi hotel. If you are thinking of visiting the Taj Mahal, there is no question that you should book this hotel. It has been one of the most fabulous days of our lives. Thank you so much!
